I was referred to this office by my current dentist to get a completely new retainer after a very old one broke beyond fixing. The person who answered the phone was very rude and told me because I had had orthodontics done on my teeth before, their doctor would not see me and that this was common practice, so I should spend my afternoon calling every orthodontist in the area to see if they would make an exception (but Rawle Orthodontics would not). I explained that I hadn't seen an orthodontist in several years, had moved over 1000 miles away from that office, and therefore needed a new one, but they would not take me as a client for this reason. I was not asking for them to fix a broken retainer someone else had made, I was asking for a completely new one and would have been willing to follow whatever advice/procedure the doctor thought was best, even if it was not the original type of retainer that I had. I am very disappointed and already have an appointment with a new practice that thought this experience with Rawle Orthodontics was ridiculous. read more

We love Dr. Rawle! My boys love that he is so down to earth and genuinely cares about them, not just their braces. The office staff is friendly and helpful no matter what you need. I never have issues getting an appointment at a convenient time and we NEVER have to wait in the office. (A huge plus - since my kids have school/sports and we are always pressed for time!) My overall experience at Rawle Ortho in Altamonte Springs was...bizarre. Yes, it's a clean office. Yes, the staff is friendly. Dr. Rawle is funny and kind. I would be remiss if I didn't share my personal experience that was honestly emotionally exhausting. I was an Invisalign patient--the beginning process was straight-forward and well executed. I was told I'd have 25 trays to go through (2 weeks per tray). If you don't wear your aligners, you might have a refinement tray or 2 at the end. Every check-up, I got good feedback and was told I'm on course. When I got to my last tray, I was elated. They took off my attachments, took pics, and scheduled me for a final appointment. I thought I was home-free. When I got to my "last" appointment, they did not communicate to me that I would need TWENTY refinement trays until AFTER they applied a dozen new attachments to my teeth. I was literally in tears because my wedding was a month away & this blindsided me. This made me believe they did not give me the correct treatment initially since the amount of refinement trays was ridiculous. I was happy with how my teeth looked and decided to pull the plug on the refinement trays, which meant signing an early release form. Fast forward: I reached out for a replacement retainer and I'm told that they can't send me a new one as I'm no longer a patient because I signed an early release from Invisalign. I asked how do I become a new patient so I can get my retainer--they say it's impossible for me to ever become a new patient and to look for help somewhere else. To put it in simple terms: I was disqualified from ever being a patient again because I did not provide consent to continue Invisalign after my primary treatment was over. I was happy with the results and chose to decline their excessive amount of refinements which I guess means I'm outed from receiving help from them ever again. That might've been in the fine print on the early release, but it seems like a petty break-up type of disclaimer. I won't be returning for any future work because I literally am not allowed to now. Also, their office hours are spotty, the team members bounce between locations. I had to get rubber bands from a random ortho office because Rawle was closed the day after a holiday. Even that office thought it was weird Rawle had remained closed the day after a holiday. Thank you Dr. Rawle for your kindness and help getting my teeth aligned, but being ostracized from your practice for opting out of refinement treatment was the straw that broke the camel's back. Please be sure to verbally warn your patients that they're never welcome back if they decide to sign an early release from additional treatment they never expected to receive in the first place. read more

They are also considerate of your feelings during the procedure. From the first visit - 1) staff was very friendly and outlined the recommended treatment plan in an easy to understand way. 2) Dr. Rawle took his time during each office visit to make sure my progress was as expected & making recommendations along the way for post invisalign care with other dental professionals (cosmetic & maxillofacial for wisdom tooth extraction) 3) the office always has an 'upbeat vibe'. I should have posted a review earlier on. My 13 year old son has been in braces for almost a year now, and what a great experience it has been so far. He had to have work done (8 teeth pulled) prior to the actual braces. Needless to say, I was VERY nervous about the oral surgery process. However Dr. Rawle was very understanding and assured me that the procedure was necessary to achieve the best results for my son. He referred me to an EXCELLENT local surgeon, and the procedure went better than I could have imagined! Also the office staff and technicians are great! Very friendly and welcoming, which has not been my experience with any other dental related offices. My son has his visits at the Lake Mary location, but we have also visited the Altamonte office. Most of the staff work between both places. The two ladies at the front desk will always greet you with a smile, and genuinely seem interested in any concerns or questions you may have. For me that is priceless! I feel confident that my son is getting the best care here, and would highly recommend this Doctor to others. read more

This is the worst orthodontics in central florida! Please beware and do not go there! They provide no customer service at all! They do not care what your problem is or even bother to fix anything. Rawle thinks hes God apparently because he is too mighty to even talk to you. They send the kids out with the charts and never discuss any treatment plans with parents and you are not aloud in the back to talk to him. So you never know what is going on. Receptionist has no clue. Work is not quality as soon as I was done paying they wont fix my kids braces, the power chain is broken in 3 spots. Dr tells my kid not me well your getting them off soon. 3 months later still broken. Um isnt that what holds the teeth in place??? This place is really terrible. Dr. Rawle and his team is Fantastic. We have been going to them since my daughter was 8 years old, she is now 12. They are very willing to work with your schedule and we never really have to wait long to be seen. My daughter loves Dr. Rawle and feels comfortable with the staff. The normal routine is you sign in, the ortho specialist will come and get the child for treatment, when the treatment is complete, they will return the child to the parent and explain to the parent what they have done and what needs to be done at home prior to next appoint. They also inform you what they plan to do at the future appointment. They take the time to discuss any issues you may have and Dr. Rawle is always willing to come out and talk to the parent if you have any additional concerns. My daughter also loves the extra incentives they have (the point system). She builds up her points to get really great gift cards:) The office is clean and they try to make the front festive with themes such as Hawaii week etc. read more
