This has been my dental office for all my needs for the last couple of years. The staff are really friendly, and the dentists are awesome. The waiting room is usually crowded, which speaks volumes to me. What is actually a huge perk is that their office is located at the "Plant" on Curtner. Had one procedure done and and my husband went for a scheduled cleaning. He didn't get his cleaning done, because they ended up referring him for something else, which we feel was not needed. Before even getting that service, we were already billed. I have caught them over charging us/our insurance. They send claims in for services that have not been provided and are sending us out of pocket bills despite our insurance covering every service we've ever had there. We actually stopped going there for this exact reason. After several calls and having to talk to my insurance, I did get my money refunded for all services that were overcharged. Now, I'm getting MORE bills in the mail saying I owe money. We have not been there since last year, so there's no way these charges are even valid. Please avoid this place, and if you go here, I recommend checking all your insurance claims to make sure you're being charged properly. read more

Let's start with I've been coming here for over 10 years. I've reached the point where I absolutely need to find another dentist office and it's solely because of the front desk and/or management. I'm not sure what's happened in the last couple years but they've continued to go down hill at a rapid pace, which is disappointing because the people actually touching my teeth were always amazing. A couple times I'd show up for appointments only for them to say I don't have one when I've made it months in advance and even had a reminder card. I'd then have to wait more months to be seen again hoping the next appointment would even exist on their end. Next, and the main reason I'm leaving is they never answer their phone. The last time I was in they found a suspicious spot on my tongue that could potentially be oral cancer. Dr. Lu told me to schedule an appointment in a couple weeks if it didn't go away which is what I've been trying to do for about a month now. Calls are never answered or returned, I've left multiple voice mails and now their voice mail box is full. That's absolutely pathetic for a place of business where people are trusting you with their health and wellbeing. You can have the best dentists and hygienists but what are you guys even doing if you can't answer a phone or schedule an appointment?? read more

I had a great dentist experience and the staff for the most part has been great. Except for one. A gentleman at the front desk. Last time I went in he was standoffish and rude to the other office staff. I was suppose to get a call about a night guard that was supposed to come last week but they said would come the 19th. I am moving, the staff knew this as I was expecting the night guard on my last appointment 8/13 and yet no call or up dates So now I'm left to wonder if I need to call my insurance company to file a report or if they can send it to me out of state. read more

We brought my father in for a scheduled 9:30am extraction. He has a history of stroke, aphasia, and is medically vulnerable, so timing and communication were especially important. Despite arriving early, he was not seated in a dental chair until 10:30am, and the office did not proactively acknowledge or explain the delay. We only received any update after approaching the front desk ourselves. Most concerning, his blood pressure was not taken until 11:00am, well over an hour past the scheduled appointment time. Given his medical history, this basic safety check should have been performed much earlier. The extended wait itself may have contributed to the elevated reading. When the surgeon finally came in, the communication was confusing and inconsistent. We received mixed messages about the urgency of the extraction, and were told the office might have broken blood pressure machines, which did not inspire confidence in the accuracy of the readings or overall preparedness. Because of the lack of timely care, unclear communication, and concerns about safety, we ultimately left without the procedure being done. We did not pay anything. The co-pay for this visit would have been approximately $900, a significant cost for someone on disability. When we respectfully asked whether any future courtesy consideration could be offered if we chose to return AS WE ARE REGULAR PATIENTS, the request was immediately dismissed without discussion. We are not writing this for compensation. We are sharing our experience because patients with complex medical histories deserve timely care, clear communication, and empathy. BRIGHT NOW DENTAL (CURTNER) IS NOT SO BRIGHT! 1. Excessive and unmanaged delay Appointment was scheduled for 9:30am, though the information we received reflected 9am. My dad was not seated in a dental chair until 10:30am. No proactive communication about delays was given. The delay was only acknowledged after I approached the front desk. This is especially concerning for a patient preparing for a surgical procedure. 2. Critical vitals were not taken in a timely manner Blood pressure was not taken until 11:00am. That is 90 minutes after THEIR scheduled appointment time. Blood pressure is a basic pre-procedure safety check, particularly for patients with a history of stroke or known medical complexity. The extended wait itself may have contributed to elevated blood pressure. 3. Confusing and contradictory clinical communication The surgeon gave mixed messages about whether the extraction was urgent or whether it could safely wait, mentioning that the office "might have broken blood pressure machines." Undermines confidence in the accuracy of the reading, raises serious concerns about equipment reliability, this should never be CASUALLY stated to a patient or family. 4. Failure to account for medical history and vulnerability My dad has had a stroke, lives with aphasia, is on disability, and relies on fixed government income. Extra care, clarity, and patience are required for patients with communication impairments, neurological history, financial vulnerability. The process did not reflect trauma-informed or disability-aware care. 5. Lack of empathy and professionalism regarding cost The co-pay was approximately $900, a significant financial burden. A request for a future courtesy consideration (not a refund, not a demand) was made respectfully. The doctor immediately and dismissively refused, without discussion 6. Both my husband and I had the annual teeth cleaning by Soheila, the Hygienist at Bright Now today. We were very satisfied by Soheila's thoroughness in cleaning, scrubbing the plaques, and educating us how to taking care of our teeth! She is very patient, friendly, meticulous and hardworking. She spent the entire hour on each of us on cleaning. We have never seen such a diligent and responsible hygenist!!! When I praised her, she said 'this was my way. I feel better if I did this way'. She definitely deserves attention and acknowledgement and raise! Thank you Soheila for your quality services. Keep it up! Also, the front desk staff, Alice and Sulemon are very friendly. First and LAST time I will go to this dentist office. The receptionist to the left I wish I got her name was nice, dental assistant was nice but the receptionist to the right I think her name is Margaret is RUDE! I asked to speak to a manager after Margaret rolled her eyes at me. Jeremiah came out & said "thank you for bringing this to her attention since typically people just leave yelp reviews but don't speak up & she can't fix things if they are not brought to her attention". Looking at the yelp reviews I see that customer service is an issue and the owner responds but yet staff like Margaret continue to give horrible service. Super disappointed at the last couple interactions I've had. I originally had my 6 month cleaning scheduled for April. When I showed up to my appointment they said they couldn't see me since they can't verify my insurance without notifying me prior to my appointment. The next available appointment they were able to schedule me for was not until July 12. 2 days before my appointment they notified me that they hand to reschedule but can get me in the following week on July 18. I had a deep cleaning with a hygienist on January 24, 2025. When I returned on March 24, 2025, to have the other half of my mouth cleaned, a different hygienist pointed out that there was plaque on the side that had already been cleaned and asked if I wanted to schedule another appointment to address it. I spoke with the original hygienist who had cleaned that side, and he explained that plaque had built up again over the past 8 weeks, which would require another cleaning, although his office informed me that he would not charge for this. When I questioned the buildup, the hygienist asked me where I went to dental school. I mentioned that my friend, a dentist, had told me that such significant plaque buildup shouldn't return that quickly. In response, he said, "Why don't you go there instead?" I have since filed a complaint with my insurance company, and other issues were brought to my attention that I will be addressing with both my insurance company and the office manager. read more

I come here for orthodontics. Dr Wu is amazing but the office staff is rude and it's hard to get through on the phone to get an appointment. I had to get in touch with a patient care coordinator to assist with scheduling appointments since they will answer , place you on hold and leave you on hold for 10-15 minutes (before I usually hang up) without any mention as to how long the wait will be prior to placing you on hold and if you leave a message they will never call you back. They also have a real attitude and will hang up if you ask them questions or push to know information about your treatment plans. read more

Yes, as other reviews mentioned, probably a couple of ladies at the front desk could have been more customer oriented, but honestly other than that, it's a great spot for having your teeth checked and cleaned. The facility is clean, they take the COVID protocols rules seriously (which is something that I always, really appreciate), checked my temperature and only allowed 2 people in the waiting room. Not sure why there are so many bad reviews for this place.... I've been getting my teeth cleaned and treated here for the past year. As per the usual, I have tried the best to keep my teeth clean on my own, but eventually have to have tartar buildup and stains removed - which they do a great job of here! I had a crack in one of my upper left teeth, and the dentist was able to fix it efficiently in the most pain-free way possible. He also removed all of my stains from coffee and tea. I've come back 3-4 times to clean up and finish my treatment, and the dental hygienist does a quick and efficient job of cleaning/polishing my teeth. I plan to keep coming back after every six months to ensure my teeth are in tip-top shape. read more

There should be a NO STARS! First time patient - didn't make it past the reception team or better the "I Can't Team". 1. Scheduled the appointment the same morning - they couldn't find it. Took two people to figure I was added this morning. 2. Provided all my insurance and personal information prior to the appointment, "they didn't have that either". I was asked to call my insurance to get information. When I said I provided the info, they said I would have to provide it again. 3. When I asked if they could look in the referral created this morning, or on line (as most Dental Offices) they said that would be too much time and they had other patients. (No one in the waiting room). Reception is the "face of a business" this team is in dyer need of Customer Service and Insurance training. The sad part may be - their Dentists may be great - IF YOU CAN GET PAST THE LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM from the support staff. I made an appointment as a new patient with the intention of having my teeth cleaned. I set aside 3 hours of my work day to allow ample time for my dental visit. I was not told beforehand that the appointment would only be for x-rays and that I'd need to come back for cleaning. They were 15 minutes late to take me for my x-rays and then had me wait afterwards to see if a hygienist was available for cleaning, which they were not. I was presented with a receipt showing a $10 charge for the x-rays and what-would-be $60 charge for when I get the cleaning. I asked them why doesn't my insurance cover this, as my Aetna DMO plan covers 100% of preventative services. They told me the original cost without insurance is higher and this was the remaining cost. I paid the $10 and left. Over a month and a half later I called my insurance, mainly wanting information on how it'll work to see a different dentist now that I've been here recently, and they confirmed I should not have been charged anything for x-rays or cleaning and that I also have no co-pay. Aetna also has no history of this appointment in their system. I called the dental office back and they're claiming the $10 charge is for COVID PPE and had no explanation for why I was told cleaning would be another $60. They said I'd need to pay another $10 for COVID PPE if I came back to have my teeth cleaned. Their posted online hours also don't match their availability. I will be finding another dentist and checking the charges again with my insurance. Avoid. read more

I was able to book a same day appointment for 2:30PM when I called around 8AM and the lady on the phone was so sweet and helpful, that it was such a slap to the face to have walked in and be treated so rudely by whoever managed the front desk. I said hello, stated that we had an appointment, and she gave me this extremely dirty *look* like I was a complete moron before stating rather rudely that "only patients with appointments can go back there." I...I said we DID have an appointment. Specifically my husband did. Her make up was nice, but her personality was sh*tty to say the least. I get you probably hate your job, but don't take it out on me because I am the WRONG one. Even more insulting is her taking my husbands paper work after she was finished, not entering anything in, and waltzing out to leave, leaving the work to her coworker. But other than her, everyone else was incredibly nice. The doctor was patient and listened to our concerns and prescribed medication to help with the tooth pain, and having them send a referral to an endodontist was smooth. This may be the most terrible place in the area. We went there just because it is close to our home but we realized it was not a good decision at our very first visit. Here are a couple of things about this location: -You may get the worst office experience ever. Horrible, extremely disorganized front desk. -They scheduled a cleaning appointment 6 months ago and cancelled one day before the appointment without giving any excuse or without rescheduling it. -Since I was not happy, I cancelled all of other fillings I needed to have. But unfortunately they had started my crown. It has been 4 months since they started it and it still hurts today. I went there 3 times to get it fixed but they could not find anything. The doctor told me they might have missed some cavity and referred me to see a specialist. Bottom line is, I need to get a root canal treatment which will cost me another $400. I will find another dentist and never go back to this location even though I already paid for the crown. Please don't ask me to send you an email.
