Beware!!!!!! of Bright Planet Solar I had solar panels installed in March 2021 and it took them 5 months to finally pass inspection, meanwhile I was paying an electrical bill and a loan payment for the panels. At the time I was told that the delay was because they miscalculated and the grid transformer in my area couldn't support my system size. The transformer was eventually replaced and I was scheduled to interconnect with the utility company. But here comes my biggest problem, when the utility company came to replace the meters they noticed that the meter's housing was melting and it's a fire hazard. They couldn't understand why the meter housing wasn't replaced by the installers furthermore how it pass inspection. They went on and connected the meter but was going to report it to upper management. I called Bright Planet and explain the situation and after multiple attempts they finally sent an electrician to my house. The electrician made an assessment and told me that he couldn't believe that the installers didn't replace that meter housing but not to worry that he was going to put a rush order to get it replaced. After several days of not hearing from them I called Bright Planet again. After 15 minutes on hold the person that I was talking to told me that they are not responsible for changing the meter housing because my system passed inspection. I couldn't believe how irresponsible they are and they don't care that my house can potentially catch on fire for there negligence. Now I received a letter from my utility company saying that if the meter housing isn't replaced within 45 days they will shut my power off. Bright Planet has the worst costumer service and they don't care if they put you and your family in harms way. I had panels installed in two other houses with Vivint Solar and they were amazing. I regret giving Bright Planet my business, I don't now what I was thinking. Beware!!!!!! Don't make the same mistake that I made and stay away from this company or you may be regretting it like I'm right now. read more

Esta compania solo da el servicio de los paneles, instalacion y nada mas. Dion Velasquez es el vendedor pero no es parte de la compania. Como todo vendedor todo lo que dice no es verdad. Me dijo que voy a tener un incentivo de la ciudad y otro del estado. No es verdad. El sistema es cerca de 60 mil dolares una deuda de 25 anos. Se involucra otras companias como Goidleap, Mosaic, loanpal. No es una sola compania si no multiples afiliadoras. Por obstante hay que lidiar con varias companias y nada competentes ni profesionales. Dion Velasquez no se hace responsable de ningun otro problema que ocurra. Ni incentivos, ni instructiones como conseguirlos ni nada al respecto. Una vez que se firmo el contrato desaparece. Se hechan la culpa el uno a otro. Si la instalacion no se realiza en 2 meses el cliente termina pagando 2 facturas la del prestamo y la de los paneles solares. Y de ninguna manera hay un reembolso. Muy mala reputacion en el BBB. Debi haberme asesorado mejor. La peor inversion que he hecho en mi vida. read more

These guys get an A++. From the time I met my sales rep, to the completion of the install I felt fully taken care of and dealt with honestly. I didn't know much about solar when I first met my sales rep but I'm glad he stopped by. I researched and looked into panels, inverters, other solar companies, and these guys offered the best value when I took into account the guarantees, warrantees, monitoring and the entire experience as a whole. I especially appreciated the fact that they were direct and very straight forward with me the entire time, followed through, and simply did what they said they would do. Bright Planet Solar did an amazing job on my solar installation here in Rhode Island. I signed up for my solar system through Frugll (frugll.com) at the end of June, 2017 and by the middle of July my system was already installed and then shortly after was approved by National Grid to turn on. Starting with the guy that came to measure my roof and check my electrical system, to the coordinating of my installation and the professionalism and cleanliness of the crews I have to take my hat off for this top notch company! On my install day Bright Planet did a wonderful job. They were courteous, clean, and very professional! The foreman explained every step of the process. He also went the extra mile to allow me an extension cord with electricity to keep an important appliance running. I could not speak higher of my overall experience with these guys! The combination of Bright Planet and Jake with Frugll was A+! The only bit of advice is they let me or any of their customers know when they need to turn off the electricity. Bright Planet Solar just did an install at my home. They did a fantastic job. I am very happy with the way the solar panels look. The crew was very professional. They do the best work. They go from next step to next step. Smooth as can be. Communication could be a little better.
