Not to be dramatic, but this was quite literally the best spray tan I've ever had in my life. I have been getting spray tanned for years, tried all self tanners, & have had my share of tough tans (lol). I was sad to leave my favorite salon in LA when I moved here to Boston... but then I found Brightbar.. Long story short... I didn't have a chance to wash off the top layer of my tan before I went to dinner/out last night so I just put on clothes over (fully expecting my tan to be ruined but I was just using it as a trial for my wedding so I only really cared to see how the color developed).. I wore a white jacket & leggings. NONE of it transferred on to my jacket, it didn't even smell "spray tanny" until the next morning (12 hours later), and it literally looked great and even after finally washing off the top layer this morning. Meanwhile, I was sweating like crazy last night and had multiple drinks spilled on me... So ya, I would recommend this place to anybody. I got the toned (sweat proof tan) with illuminating drops. I just got my first spray tan ever here and I am officially obsessed. This place is so cute, clean, and conveniently located - I just popped in on my way home from work. Gill did an incredible job and made me feel so comfortable knowing this was my first spray. She helped me pick the shade I wanted, prepped me with everything I needed beforehand, chatted with me during the spray, did one last look over to make sure I was perfectly even, and gave me instructions on how to maintain my spray after. I am SO pale and was worried about turning out orange or too dark, but the Nantucket shade is perfect - my tan is dark enough that I am perfectly tan and seriously glowing and subtle enough that no one was asking how I got so tan in the middle of this gloomy weather. I impulsively decided to spring for a spray tan after a rough week as a treat to myself. I also have a semi formal event on the weekend and wanted to even out my (ridiculous) tan lines so they wouldn't be visible while wearing my dress. After booking, I was sent a very helpful email which provided relevant information for my appointment. The location was super convenient to my office and I had no troubles finding this adorable salon. Everyone there was so welcoming and put me immediately at ease. Gill did a pretty fantastic job turning me from translucently pale to showing off a subtle glow. She was so kind and I really appreciated how she was able to put me completely at ease. I have been going to Brightbar since it opened, and it's hard to believe that even during these crazy Covid times that they are better than ever! The aesthetic has always been unreal, and the new safety precautions havent changed the look or vibe of the place at all (except that you feel even safer than usual and it is insanely clean). Coming in from Detroit for a wedding and i had no time to get an appointment back at home with my usual salon. So i found Alex and Bright Bar and emailed her in hopes that she could fit me in. Not only was she prompt in our correspondence, but the location was easy to find, they figured out the perfect tan color for me and how long i should leave it on for the perfect tan (and the price is incredibly reasonable!) i had to drag my boyfriend along since we're both from out of town, and Alex planned our perfect day in Boston for us and emailed to me! Upon arrival you can always expect a yummy smelling candle burning, donuts and plain old GOOD vibes. LISTEN. Brightbar is hands down the best airbrush spray tan in all of Boston and, more likely, the world. The ladies of Brightbar have so many choices (my personal fav = tanned and toned with sparkle drops) and they help you pick what's right for you based on your needs. As a fitness instructor and workout junkie, I sweat 2-3x per day and my tan stays for a week, sometimes longer. That's unparalleled TBH. Speaking of parallel, you won't have to park. I was recommended to go to Bright Bar after my barre instructor got a spray tan there. The studio is cute and clean and they were able to accommodate me even though I had walked in without an appointment. They have a menu of different levels of tan you can go, so I went for a subtle tan. Their formulation allows you to shower within 3-4 hours so that was great that I could shower before bed. The tanning spray doesn't leave a terrible strong odor either. The tan itself looked amazing; it looked super natural and not at all orange. I will definitely be back. read more

By far the best tanning experience! Not only is the salon welcoming but Alex is great and makes everyone that walks in feel like they are her top priority. I had my first tan here on Friday for a Saturday photo shoot and am IN LOVE! Was recommended by a friend, and it did not disappoint. Best part for me was that I was worried about parking... you just park in the Haymarket Garage and its $3 for 3 hours! I felt so safe with touchless temp check, mask on the whole tan, disposable underwear/ foot protectors/ hairnet, etc. and left GLOWING- I am super pale and have gotten so many compliments on my tan- my mom even asked how my skin got so tan without looking fake!
