During my last visit here the older woman at the front desk was incredibly rude - she didn't greet me or even offer a smile, I sat down and it wasn't until my hygienist came out to the lobby that I was spoken to. When I returned shortly after that visit to drop off a thank you gift for my hygienist, the older woman again seemed annoyed by my presence, but luckily there was a nice younger girl (Vanessa, I think) who offered to help me. That was my last visit there because the only hygienist I went to see left the clinic, understandably given this experience. Since then, there have been 2 fraudulent bills that Doctor Woods attempted to send to my insurance, and then she sent me a bill in the mail for work that was done November last year and March this year, which had already been paid for. I'd recommend any patients past or future keep an eye on their insurance when dealing with this clinic, as there is absolutely fraudulent activity going on. read more

I've been going to Brighton Dental for years. Had to stop after highly skilled hygenist Brittney was replaced by Elizabeth. Liz multitasks; rushes through every cleaning and is always very rough. My teeth became sensitive and my gums always bleed and hurt after her cleanings. She is reckless with the laser and had removed gum tissues while cleaning my teeth. I became anxious of going there which never happened before because Dr. Woods is great and her assistant Sheila is a sweetheart. Recent years, they've started aggressively upselling and repeatedly asking to change the time of the appointments to suit the office's needs. My last straw was the anesthesia shots by Liz, she brutally jabbed my jaw totally traumatizing me both physically and mentally; i couldn't open my mouth for days and it hurt for almost a month. Her sadistic treatments created a dental anxiety that never existed before she worked on me. I will never go back!! read more

Do not go here. My first visit one of the front office staff was arguing with another employee in the lobby. They tried to upsell me on a super expensive treatment that was unnecessary. The day of my second appointment they called three times changing the time of my appointment from 5 to 4 to 3 which I couldn't do so I just had them cancel it. Super unprofessional, I wasn't planning on returning after my second appointment anyways, but this just takes the cake. read more

It's been several months and I want to share my disappointing experience with Dr. Woods' dental practice to help others make informed decisions. Over the course of 4 months, I was repeatedly ignored by the front desk (Maria), the manager (Natasha), and Dr. Woods regarding my concerns about a nickel allergy. Despite informing them of my allergy, they placed a crown they claimed was '100% gold,' which I later discovered contained nickel and other metals. This is especially troubling because they claim to remove metal fillings regularly, yet they disregarded my health and biological preferences by placing this crown in the first place. After months of persistence, they tell me today they can remove But once again total disregard since there are safety guidelines with proper removal with rubber dam and ventilation. Why even put metal in the first place this goes against biodentristy principles. I feel Dr. Woods' actions reflect misrepresentation and a lack of care for patient well-being. Also, Dr woods states she is a bio dentist but practitioner is not part of the International Academy of Biological Dentistry and Medicine, which influenced the outcome. If you are seeking a biologically conscious dental practice or transparency in treatment, I urge you to be cautious with this office. read more

I am not one to post negative reviews, but almost 3 years and THOUSANDS of dollars later, and I'm still dealing with the fallout from using this dentist. Since I haven't been to this office since 2022, i have no idea how or if there's been any change so I'm refraining from posting my experiences while being a patient there. I will say that the flippancy in my care ended up with me losing 2 teeth, having an extremely painful and expensive Oral surgery, a massive infection that had me in antibiotics for almost a year and then another surgery for my sinus. Now, 2 years later the crappy job they did with my expensive bridge has come to a head and several more thousands of dollars is being paid for another new bridge and root canal. Not to mention the lack of professionalism, extremely long (2 hours or more) wait time while listening to them laugh and chat despite telling them I had to get back to work, them scheduling me then when I show up they said "oh oops, I forgot to put it in the computer so you'll have to come another day"...the list goes on into more situations that weren't appropriate at all. I found Brighton Dental when I was really struggling with my health and had no answers through traditional medicine what was "wrong" with me. After 5 months of struggling I found Dr. Woods as a last ditch effort based on intuition that my underlying issue may be due to a root canal I had done the prior year. Every traditional dentist or doctor I met said my symptoms (chronic nausea, unable to eat, chronic fatigue, achy joints to name a few) couldn't possibly be related to my tooth because everything "looked fine". Dr. Woods made me feel seen and validated in a way that no other dentist or medical professional has, she listened, validated my feelings and said "you know your body better than anyone" so let's take a look. Sure enough after completing a Cone Beam CT scan she validated that the root canaled tooth was in fact infected. I had no pain in the actual tooth, but my body had been fighting a "silent infection" for over a year. She got me a few days later to have the tooth extracted (on a Tuesday) and by Friday of that same week I was able to walk my son around the neighborhood for trick or treating on Halloween. My walking heart rate went from over 130, to under 90 that same week, my blood pressure has stabilized, the daily panic and anxiety has gone away, I've gained over 5 pounds back (from losing 20) and I can eat, play with my son and function again. My body and nervous system still have healing to do after being in a state of chronic illness for an extended period of time, but each day I feel stronger. Thank you, Dr. Woods and everyone at your practice for not dismissing my concerns and helping me get my life back. If you have an intuition that your body is speaking through symptoms and it may be related to your oral health, go see Dr. Woods for a Cone Beam CT scan to confirm. This is a long-due review. The staff was friendly. The prices are questionable. I was told I needed an additional x-ray that my insurance would not cover. When I inquired about the type of x-ray, I was given a vague answer. It was immediately removed from my bill. As for the estimate I was given, I can only compare their estimate to another estimate I received based on what is exactly on paper. I made a side-by-side comparison. Brighton Dental is one of my favorite dentists I have been to. The quality of care is amazing and the staff is always very friendly. I've always enjoyed going to the dentist but now I look forward to it. Kaya and Alex are the sweetest and make you feel welcome the second they see you. I am always excited to see and talk to them.
