We toured some other facilities but we really enjoyed the small vibe of AVAC. Not to mention my wife was able to get a barnacles class with the other moms from her New Mom School into one class for the babies. After barnacles we moved our son into the starfish class with Miss Kristina had he has loved it. He loves going every week and playing in the water and he's definitely gotten a lot more comfortable being in the pool. We've now been able to take him to our local cabana pool as well as a hotel pool and he's been great. I couldn't recommend the beginner swim class enough to get your kids comfortable with being in a pool. Once we are able to figure out his daycare schedule, we will be back for more classes in teh afternoon!

We first started coming when my son was around 1.5 yrs. We were doing the parent/child swim class…read more Covid hit, they closed and we stopped attending. About a year ago we signed back up. There are a few things that I wish were different. Because the group classes are 3 kids to 1 instructor, each kid is only getting about 10 minutes of working time. The rest of the time they are sitting in the steps while the instructor works with the other kids. Secondly, it does seem like the instructor turn around is high. My son has gone through 3 instructors in as many months. It also would be helpful if we knew when/how often they are tested for advancement. I initially thought it was once a month, but I don't think that's the case. If they tested the last week of the month on a monthly basis would be nice. Third, and the one that bugs me the most is they don't enforce their "No shoes on the pool deck" policy. It's a great rule, but not great if it's not enforced. Every class parents come into the shower area with their street shoes on. I'm sorry, but for the safety of the kids (and adults adhering to the policy) shoes should be taken off. It is so gross to imagine what is in the bottom of their shoes and my kid and I are walking all over that in wet, bare feet. And it's not like people don't know or that the signs are hidden. The signs are posted on the door leading to the shower and pool area. Other than that, the instructors are nice, but for the price it's a little steep, especially if I'm paying for 30 minutes and only getting 10 minutes of instructional time. I like the convenience of its proximity to where I live, but I may start looking for a different swim school .

All the community pools out there require a membership fee and this is opened to the public. Family oriented with small children, no loud obnoxious grown kids that don't know how to act. Parents can bring them to the water park. I actually wish parents paid more attention to the way their children behaves in public places. This pool is great, my niece is 10 years old, perfect for her. They have a snack shack but wasn't opened so I packed an igloo and a picnic basket. The weather was gorgeous too. They do have a capacity limit, besides no one really stays for the whole entire time open to closing, that'd be insane. Two to three hours is good, not unless you wanna look like fried chicken. Three young lifeguards trained well, paying attention at all times to the children in and outside of the pool area. Thinking of coming back next weekend again with my niece and BFF daughter who is also 10. A place where the kids can be kids and it's summertime.

Apon my arrival the woman at the reception to the gym when asked where the pool was located informed me that I would have to walk through the womens locker room to get to the pool. The other option is to walk through the mens locker room. As I took my 4 year old through the womans locker room I didnt expect to have to walk through to the very back to reach the door to the pool. I am extremely upset that my son was exposed to numerous naked women. They were either changing or coming out of the shower. My son was shocked and kept saying mommy they don't have clothes on..or mommy why are they naked. I don't even let my son see me naked!!!! As my husband arrived during the lesson my son had to use the bathroom and my husband took him to the mens locker room where I asked apon their return if men were nude on that sidecas well and the answer was yes! This is unacceptable and disturbing that SafeSplash is anything but safe to be ok exposing children to this. When I called customer service Alex their customer service chuckled and said "its just a locker room"! I asked to speak to the manager and he said he can only send an email. I asked for the number to their headquarters and he said their isn't one. What type of business is this!?! From what I was told their other locations are set up the same way. Exposing children to nude adults is never ok!! I was told someone would get back to me in 48 hours. The little child size pop up changing room smelled moldy...the 1 instructor working with 1 child at a time down the lane while other children who can't swin waiting on the step is unsafe as well. If 1 of those little ones hopped off the step who would of noticed if the instructor is half way down the lane. This who company is a disaster!

But this experience completely changed that. A huge part of that is thanks to Kelly, the owner. She is incredibly patient, calm, and intuitive as a coach. She meets you exactly where you are, never rushes the process, and somehow knows exactly how to help you push past fear without feeling overwhelmed. The environment is supportive, encouraging, and completely judgment-free--something that makes all the difference when you're learning as an adult. This is a great little pool. It's a private membership for surrounding streets, with some associate…read morememberships available to purchase, usually open late spring to the end of summer. It's staffed most weekends with lifeguards and gate attendants. There are tables, lounge chairs, charcoal bbq's, umbrellas, snack bar, and bathrooms. We did swimming lessons this summer and I was very impressed with the swim instructors. All lessons are 1:1 and offered in the morning M-Th for 50 minutes. The price is a great value for the length of the lesson and 1:1 student teacher ratio. Our teacher was Gaby, and by the end of the second week my daughter (4.5 yrs old) was able to swim underwater a few feet by herself. The parents are allowed to be on the pool deck too.

The sign up happens once a year in spring time and pool is open until fall. The pool is heated and great for any kind of swimming. It is not crowded and everybody is very humble and kind. There are 3 charcoal grills that anybody can use. They are never taken. You can buy snacks there. They have couple of events through out the usage period which are very nice. It is always very clean and nice. Life guard is at duty. The staff is very attentive, helpful and friendly. It feels like family there.
