I was tired of the low quality solar landscape lights I was using, and I wanted a more permanent solution that was not dependent on how much sun was hitting it during the day. The solar lights petered out quickly in the winter or after a cloudy day. I went to my trusty Yelp app and came across Las Vegas Backyards and their many five star reviews. I sent information about my project through Yelp, and I received a response the next business day to setup an estimate. The project manager was very thorough, and he explained his recommendations for the project while keeping aesthetics in mind. The estimate was right in line with what my research had told me was an average price for this type of job. I was, however, a little surprised that the project manager did not arrive with a catalog of various lighting fixture choices to peruse. He did send several photos of his recommended fixtures later that day based on our preference for something modern. Communication was quite good through a group text with all the respective players involved. The date for the install was arranged within a week or so of my inquiry. There was a slight snafu on installation day, as the fixtures we had chosen were sold out. We were sent photos of alternative choices and were able to find a contemporary design that was to our liking. The first part of the installation took about a half day with trenching, running power lines, and installing the fixtures. The second day was a quick installation of the transformer. I was happy to see they had installed a smart transformer with WiFi access and an app to set schedules. I do wish they would've gone over this ahead of time to discuss what type of transformer would be installed (again, I am glad they picked a smart model as that's exactly what I wanted). Unfortunately, one of the spotlights was found to be defective by the installer during their testing. They returned the next afternoon to replace it. Payment was handled in phases with certain percentages due at certain points in the installation. Payment is easily made online with a credit card, but unfortunately there is a surcharge for this type of payment. They do have other payment options if you want to avoid the surcharge. Now we have a wonderful, gorgeous, and very upscale looking landscape lighting setup that really increases the curb appeal! Thank you to Las Vegas backyards! read more

We used Las Vegas Backyards to do landscape maintainence on our 1st home and they did such an immaculate job and made sure to get all sides of the home. This process was super quick, I got a quote through Yelp, signed paperwork for the landscape maintainence and they were able to schedule me in the same week. (I did do prior research and quotes with other companies and their prices was very reasonable especially since they're a professional establishment.) We decided to continue to use them for our backyard design for our new home and they were very responsive and came out to check the area for a consultation right away. Martin was our project manager who helped immensely in this project and made sure to get all the feedback for design we wanted for our backyard. We also provided a cost range that was reasonable for our budget and they were able to accommodate it. They also provide 3D rendering at an additional cost if you plan to get your backyard done in phases, it does help envision your dream backyard. He was able to provide our 3D rendering within a week and we met him at their office to plan out the type of material we wanted to use. Las Vegas Backyards office was in a nice and quiet area and they had so many samples and types of material to choose from. Martin provided great feedback and was able to answer all of our questions. They were also able to start on the project that same week! The process took about 4 days. It would've probably been 3 days if it wasn't raining that week but rain or shine they still came out to work on what they could during a rainy and windy day. Super appreciate their work ethic! Having been frustrated with the challenge of growing plants in pots in our west-facing courtyard, I consulted with at least three companies to look for a solution and estimated costs. From the moment I met Lee, I liked him immediately. I liked how personable he is, and how he stressed the importance of doing a good job to make me happy. And although mine is a small project compared to their other projects, he was happy to oblige. He assessed the situation, offered solutions and took the time to get to know me as a potential customer. In our front courtyard, on the side that gets the extreme afternoon sun, I wanted low-maintenance and drought-heat resistant plants, bushes and ground cover succulents. The other side that gets shade, I wanted a flower and herb garden. And in both areas, I wanted a drip system. His crew came out --- and they were punctual, polite, courteous, conscientious. However, there was a hiccup in terms of what was installed on one side of the courtyard --- it was a simple case of miscommunicating that in addition to herbs, I want a flower bed where I can garden, i.e. the ability to replace/plant flowers according to the season. Lee owed up to it, and immediately directed his crew to re-do the flower bed like I wanted, no questions asked. To whom this may concern, So I recently (January 2024) wanted to get my backyard done. It was a project that I had been putting off for years and I am so glad that I got it done and that I hired Las Vegas Backyards to do it. I am going to be perfectly honest. Originally, I was thinking that I was just going to hire whoever I could find on Yelp that was the cheapest (because who isn't trying to save some money right now) I mean how hard can it be to do a backyard? (It is a way bigger and labor intensive project than I realized.) But all the people that I talked to just gave me weird vibes that even though they might be a little cheaper they were probably going to cut some corners and do a less than stellar job. So I begrudgingly decided to call LVB. (I'm a cheapskate at heart. What can I say?) From the moment I called they were beyond professional and prompt in helping me and getting the backyard project done. The first person I talked to on the phone was this woman named Katie. She is the main office person. She was super nice and helpful. She immediately sent out a man named Martin Lopez to do an on-site inspection of my backyard to give me an accurate quote for the project. Martin was really nice with me throughout the project. He was also really honest about the fact that even though LVB is a little bit more expensive than other people that I could have hired it would be well worth it when I saw the quality in the work that was done. I'm really glad I listened to him and looking back it was worth it because they really did do an awesome job. He became my main point of contact for the project. He did a really good job in answering all my questions. After I decided to choose LVB a day or two later an in-office meeting was set up to iron out the details. At that meeting I met the owner of the company, Lee. He was also really nice and he impressed me on how knowledgeable, professional and experienced he was about everything concerning my backyard project. The actual work on my backyard took 5 days to complete. I got pavers, a 3 foot planter along a wall and a long path on the side of my house done. I had no idea it would take that long. The main guy in charge of the work crew was named Sergio. He did an awesome job. He respected my property and never left a mess behind on any of the days that they worked. In hindsight, I'm really glad that I chose Las Vegas Backyards for my backyard project. I didn't really know what to expect at the beginning of this project. It was so much more work than I thought. This is my first house and I have never gotten a backyard done so I had no idea. I'm so glad I chose LVB to do the project. I found Las Vegas Backyards thru yelp and Instagram. My project was to remodel our spa/pool with composite decking and add composite decking to our retaining wall with wall sconce lights. It doesn't seem much, but I know this project can take up to at least 1-2 weeks to complete. Like all my other home projects, I reach out to at least 2-3 different companies to compare estimates. The first 3 pool/landscaping companies I reached out did not want to even give me an estimate because they were either booked or wanted to take on bigger projects. LV backyards was able to schedule me within the same week I called them. I met with Erik and from the start we hit it off with the idea I had. He was very enthusiastic and friendly. He did not try to stir me away with a different design like some other contractors would or say that this job is too small for them. He was able to give me a rough estimate on the spot and surprisingly it was within my budget. We scheduled another meeting at their office to review the bid and materials more accurately. This is uncommon because most contractors either send an email or call you what the estimate is. My wife and I felt more comfortable and trustworthy about this company. It's sad to say that there are a quite a few sketchy contractors out there that would take your money and only finish half of the project. We signed the contract, and they were able to start work within a month. I also met with the foreman Vic and Erik to go over the game plan before the start of the project. I was surprised when they started that they had a full team of about 8-10 guys to start demoing. They arrived consecutive days during the work week and Erik was also there to touch base with me about any updates. The beginning to end result was an amazing experience! My wife and I cannot thank Erik and his entire team enough. They absolutely care about any issues we might have during and after the project was completed. Quite frankly, I didn't even get a chance to start a relationship to discuss a landscaping project with them. Let's be clear: I've had experience with landscaping service before and I think their customer service can be improved. From the moment I spoke to Katie, I felt like questions were being asked that I didn't think was necessary, but it was only because she didn't want to waste mine or theirs. If your budget doesn't match what their expectations are, you can forget about it. Then when I told her about my current situation, again - her response was because it wasn't to waste their time. Ok, so I won't waste your time and won't be a customer. I checked their website and they are part of Jerezee Construction which I had the same exact experience!!! They actually turned me down because it didn't meet their minimum!!! Thanks but no thanks!! You wouldn't be considered even as a customer if you don't bring in the $ they want. Asked me for pictures of my property, then without seeing it in person quoted me $750.00 a month for maintenance which is 300% higher than other estimates I received. Total price gouging, get multiple quotes before using them. Update in Response to Leon: no mention of your quote stated trimming of palm trees, and your quote was for monthly maintenance. Palm trees were recently trimmed...you don't sound like a professional. read more

I dealt primarily with Avi, and his foreman, Victor. They are both a pleasure to work with. The contracting process was straightforward and pleasant. The job started on time, and was finished on schedule. The quality of the work is excellent. The garden area was formerly rough and broken ground that my wife couldn't safely enter. Now it's level and smooth with pavers, garden beds, and irrigation, and a shade structure. There were a couple of minor issues after the job was complete, however, Avi and his team were extremely responsive and fixed them immediately. We worked with Lee and Las Vegas backyards for landscaping our new construction home and it was one of the best decisions we have made! What set Lee and Las Vegas backyards apart from the other landscapers was how professional and attentive he was to our needs, concerns, and budget throughout the entire project. Lee made the design process easy, and was the only landscaper we met who offered virtual 3d renderings for us to see our vision before implementation which was huge as it was easy to see and make design changes early. Additionally, he was honest in his recommendations on what we should or shouldn't do to fit within our budget instead of trying to upsell us on things we didn't need. He also gave us great recommendations from his past experience on other projects as well as working with our inspiration pinterest photos to really make our design come to life. Lee and Katie were also very communicative, which was a huge concern of ours going into this project as we had read/heard of all the horror stories from yelp reviews and our local friends; we knew exactly what was the next step, who it was on, and when to expect the start and completion date. Additionally, the management team was very professional and even had an organized google drive and were highly responsive in our text group -- might not sound crazy but we really appreciated these small things as it made organization and communication so much easier. Most importantly, the end product turned out to be so much better than we had imagined. Each detail was almost exact to our original design plan and the guys were clean, respectful, and quick in delivering on the project.
