If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Ken, Matt, Kalian, the on-site team of some of the hardest and most skilled workers I've ever seen...from start to finish it was an A+ experience. We had an awful experience with another company and were really worried about finding someone honest and reputable. We saw a friend's yard and we were so impressed that we asked for details on which company did the work. We spoke with Kalian at Advantage based on the recommendation and we were immediately impressed with her knowledge and kindness. We met with Ken the following week and he walked the property with me making suggestions. Ken definitely has a great eye for landscaping. Matt was also great, helping us on a daily basis with the logistics and giving his opinion on how to make the area shine. His prices were within reason for the scope of the project (unlike the other company we had hired, whose project/contract price was almost 3 times the estimate of the project AFTER we paid the deposit). The final result was incredible, but what really stood out was the entire experience working with Advantage. We decided to have our front yard upgraded from what the builder put in three years ago. We hired Advantage Landscaping to make our vision a reality and were happy we did. They did a fabulous job. Rick was extremely easy to work with, coordinating all the aspects of our project. They installed stone veneer to a front wall. We agreed with our neighbors when they said it transformed the whole look of the house. Manny and his partner completed the yard in two days, which included taking out our old plants, planting new ones, placing two large custom steel planters made by Amazing Ironworks, and building bases for them. Our beautifully renovated front and backyards are complete and Advantage Landscape totally exceeded our expectations and dreams! After 20 years, our 1/3 acre landscape really needed a refresh so we had 5 companies come out to quote our wish list. After our meeting with Ken Kessick/Advantage Landscape, we knew we'd found the company we would choose to work with. After hours of research into various companies and several interviews we chose to get our backyard landscaped with Advantage Landscape and we're SO glad we did. Nikolai is one of their Sales Managers and he answered all my questions before even coming out for an on-site estimate, he came out within 2 days, was very polite, professional, honest, and was great to bounce ideas around with. It didn't take long to finalize our decision and within 4 days of notice he had all the paperwork & plans submitted to our HOA for their review. Seriously the BEST experience! From the prompt response to my first request (less than 10 minutes), to Nick's first visit, to the work beginning, and then completion, IT WAS AMAZING! Over a great experience!!! I first reached out to them via yelp. I was giving the general information along with a minimum price of $2,500 to start any job. I had a full backyard so that was okay with us. I was told to contact the office and someone would call me about my appointment. I called, left a message, and nothing. I reached out via yelp again and they apologized for the mistake and assigned me a sales person right away. Juan reached out asap and he is the best. He was able to work with our schedule and met with us in the evening since we both work a lot. Juan was nice, informative, and provided great ideas. He asked what our budget was and we also advised we were getting other quotes. He told us what to look for as well and educated us on irrigation plans in our yard. Great experience. After we decided to start our project. Juan vreated the design to submit to our HOA's as well as walked with us in the plant nursery to pick out what we liked. Once we were given the green light we called and were scheduled the following Monday. David came out and drew the plans on the floor. He was also our point of contact during the project and they were finished in four days!! It was a very smooth experience other than the hiccup at the beginning. Payment options were easy and Kristen in the office is a sweetheart. We divided the payments into three installments. If you have a small job, do not use them. We started working with them on May 7th. It's August 3rd and our front yard is not complete. Last year, we had them do our backyard and they did a decent job. Our only issues was the cement (which is from a different company that they contracted out), their lack of communication and not providing a drawing (which was promised). We thought it was because of our assigned person. It's not, it's the entire company. Fast forward to now, I'm regretting using them again. We had them replace some plants, put a walkway in our front yard and walking path in our backyard. When we got started, things started moving fast. They handled the HOA situation and then boom! They disappeared for a month. We were later told, our contractors disappearance was due to him being out on medical leave. Completely understand, I just wish someone would have told us. Next, they start back up working. However, they don't schedule a date to start working. They just show up! It's poor planning, because we were scheduled to go out of town. Also, both myself and my fiancé work for home. If I had a heads up, I could schedule calls later in the day to prevent from having construction noises in the background. We leave out town, and I did give them permission to work. This is we're I messed up, I didn't realize they were going to lay the pavers for the walkway. When we got home, I noticed the pathway is too narrow. I called and asked if they can adjust it and I've been ignored months. I keep getting the run around that someone will get back to me. Now I'm sitting here in August with a narrow pathway and a couple dead plants. I told them on July 6th my issue with the pathway and nothing has happened. Just let me know if you're going to fix it! I feel they are ignoring me because it's a small job. Or, that's just how they do business. Would not recommend if your looking a project done a timely manner. read more

We had our entire front yard redone. A bunch of grass that served no purpose other than to be mowed and watered was removed and replaced with some significantly more water-friendly stuff. We took multiple bids and Advantage was not the cheapest (they were in the same ballpark, but I say this to emphasize this is not why we chose them). They were the first bid. We dealt with Nikolai from early on and he made an extremely positive impression. Of all the bids we received, he spent the most time with us and was the most knowledgeable. The work was done in two days and everything looks great. What's especially important is that I am terrible at visualizing this sort of thing and honestly didn't even have a great idea of what I wanted besides "this grass just needs to go." I kinda threw some stuff out there and they put together something nice from my smattering of wants. Nice job all around. No complaints. The area I needed was about 12 feet wide, however I was told I had to pay for the entire roll which was 15 feet regardless if I needed all of it or not. I stated that I wouldnt be open to paying for extra material that I didnt need, and because Juan mentioned he had no use for it either that cost would be passed to me. He decided to terminate the walk thru for a quote immediately less than 5 minutes after our consultation. The company who came right after him was able to give me a bid for turf, plants, trees, and 2 water features along with a design CAD drawing and I signed for $22k. Moral of the story for this company, because the rep decided that the cost of doing business doesnt include eating maybe less than $300 of material it costed you a job totalling $22k. We are really impressed with our backyard. We finished our new build in September 2022. We met with Juan prior to closing to get an estimate and see about getting on the schedule. Juan was very knowledgeable, punctual, and prompt in all correspondence. We met with him multiple times throughout the design process. He even agreed to walk the local plant/tree store to assist in the design process. This was very helpful. We felt completely informed. The results are exactly like the 3D rendering and what we communicated about. Our HOA gave us some issues but every time Juan was prompt with providing us the requested documents. We were told that our backyard would take 3-5 days to complete. Once we started it took 3 days. The team was very professional and polite. Everything was cleaned up at the end. The work I had Advantage Landscape do was quite extensive. And they hit it out of the ballpark. I am very pleased with the quality, the workmanship, design, and timing (albeit some slight delays) from their crews. I will try to break down each to convey the great things they have done to my home. Nikolai was the sales rep, foreman, and grunt. This man is incredible. Promote above peers! Scope We had the following completed by Advantage. Full backyard makeover (approx 65' x 45') Pondless water fall 65' long x 3'tall retaining wall Pavers for patio and side of home Pavers for firepit area and paths Artificial turf Lighting - landscape and string lights Front yard upgraded existing landscape Pavers for front driveway extension and path way And plants all around with irrigation Area leveled and graded for 12x16 shed *Large Trees were planted by moon valley* Pricing We initially had 4 quotes for our project. Advantage was in the upper end of the quotes. What was important to me was quality and attention to detail. For what we were expecting, the price we were quoted did not seem outrageous. It was very competitive. Foreman/sales Nikolai was the most attentive of the sales reps that came to the house. He also had the most vision for the design and seemed excited for this project. I loved his energy and ideas. I was very pleased to know he was also the foreman and would be on the project every day. It was very apparent Nikolai knew his job and scope of the work involved. In addition, he was out there working as hard or harder on the manual labor as his crew. That's a great foreman. Upon our second or third meeting, Nikolai also had quite an elaborate design to show us. I was not expecting that! Crew/workmanship The crew that came out with Nikolai showed up early every day and worked throughout their full shift. Despite my project being right in the middle of the hottest stretches in Las Vegas (115 deg for several days straight), they were out there making it happen. Advantage uses high quality materials and has highly skilled laborers. The workmanship shows! Timing The project took longer than I anticipated (about 6 weeks) but that included waiting a week for trees to be planted by Moon Valley. It was definitely not a lack of working because for the most part they were putting in 8 hours, 5 days a week. Design This was my favorite part. Watching my vision come to reality. Nikolai was attentive to what we wanted to see, but also gave ideas on what would work better or what I did not think about. One of the biggest items I wanted was a pondless waterfall to sit and relax to. His design was beyond what I imagined. It has a natural feel to it, multiple waterfalls, lighting, self-filling and is definitely a center piece of our backyard. The kids have been enjoying splashing in the water and climbing on the rocks. While my wife and I sit and enjoy all the sounds. The meandering paver paths was his idea and it turned out great. It was alot of work making all the cuts to make the pavers path curving around. He made a small grassed seating area between our new trees where we put a park bench on. A cool spot to watch the waterfall and the kids running around on the turf. The turf was installed with the proper materials and even with drainage. The grass with so nice to walk/run on without feeling sharp rocks underneath or hard ground. He addressed my concerns with the kids playing with water on it and also previous flooding issues my backyard had by placing adequate drainage and proper grading. He also leveled it in a way that there is a smooth transition from the paver patio to the grass. So no step down! Nikolai had a great plan to update the front yard to fill it in and freshen it up. We added one tree and several plants along with a hedge row in the front. We also added new rocks and a dry river bed. I wanted to extend my driveway, so they had pavers added on both sides of the driveway giving us plenty of room for parking. Also, quite a few lights were installed for paths and uplighting really made a huge difference. Lighting I told Nikolai from the onset I wanted a warm and inviting space at night. And no dark corners! He definitely delivered here. The light were well placed and thought out. We ended up adding more than originally planned but it was needed. All of the lights were wired to a transformer that was on a timer or set by day light. Love the auto features of set it and forget it. All of the fixtures are of a high quality metal build and look to be able to withstand our brutal summer sun. Overall I highly recommend Advantage Landscape, in particular, Nikolai. You will get what you pay for. Quality, workmanship, and attention to detail. This transaction was one of the most enjoyable I've had with contractors. I felt like I was dealing with a friend.
