I'm going to break up my review into different parts, as I feel it is only fair to NV Landscapes. I definitely give them 5 stars for the work that they did but also how they dealt with the various issues that plagued them over the course of our project! We also made changes on the fly that took longer than the original timeframe. The revamp of our yard originally was going to be a 3-4 week job. They started on March 2nd and ended on May 23rd, 13 weeks. This was not their fault as we experienced shut downs by the city of North Las Vegas, neighbor issues and sub-contractor issues. They dealt with all of these with a professional attitude and demeanor! Neighbor: Not NVL's fault and they dealt with it very professionally! City of North Las Vegas: A complete disaster to work with! Never returned calls and took forever to approve permits. Sub-contractors: One of the sub-contractors was difficult to work with at best. Didn't show up as promised, work had to be re-done and had a bad attitude in general! Any company can look good when everything goes as planned. Nothing went as planned on our project but they handled it very professionally! Shout out to Tyler, Ricardo and Richard who is the owner. Tyler had some great ideas! we've worked with many landscapers through the years from NJ to Massachusetts to California and NV for some very large projects. NV Landscape has some wonderful people working for them but absolutely the most incompetent leadership that over promised and under delivered repeatedly on literally everything. Every step of the way was an absolute struggle. Jesus was the sales person that worked with us from the beginning and was responsive only because the Supervisor never showed up to check in as promised...until we essentially forced them to follow through. The team shoveled our new landscaping rock into our sewer "clean out" system and within a few days caused a sewer backup that ruined our whole downstairs with a sudden backup of sewer water. it Caused me and my son to become very ill to the point that I was hospitalized for nearly A week with full body and skin infections. Almost a year later I'm still recovering. Insane! the irrigation system was installed but they never connected it to the panel and never turned it on. Within 3 weeks nearly everything died!!! Then to get them to replace it was a struggle. there was only a 3 month warranty but it was literally a struggle to get them to replace all that died because no supervisor showed up to ensure it was ever turned on. I paid $25,000 for the project and essentially walked away with a Fraction of what was promised in the deal. I'm not someone who writes a bad review but i waited nearly a year to write this it was so aggregious that I felt compelled to do so. There were so many other things that went wrong but I would need 10 pages to include everything. In the long wrong much of the landscape never survived so we had to have another company come in and replace everything. Also the lighting that was promised and never installed we hired a third company to install those as well. Again in total I dished out another $6000 dollars. I would absolutely never ever recommend this company ever. working with NV Landscape was literally the worst experience we've ever had ever with any company read more

I called NV Landscapes, who came out right away and gave me an estimate. They couldn't do the work until May (because they're that busy), but after some begging, they squeezed me!! What a relief!! I was panicking because I needed my house to be ready for renters by the end of March. So, front house service: beyond excellent!! They came this morning and got to work right away. I've never seen such hard working and efficient people. They took out all my dead roots, did some more fancy landscaping stuff, then added my grass all within 4-5 hours!! Holy cow. So contacted a few places and ended going with NV Landscaping. Your always weary about stuff you don't know but they came out, quoted me a fair price for the amount of work being done which is a lot considering my backyard looked like the desert itself. They started on Dec 16th and finished on the Dec 19th in the afternoon. They didn't play, came out got the yard all set up and all I can say is my backyard doesn't even look like anything I expected, it was 100 times better. It's absolutely beautiful. They will be starting the overhead porch after the 1st of the year which is fine but my I am truly happy with the outcome. Gave the project manager leeway to do his own thing pretty much, he always ran everything by me first as I appreciated that but his ideas were pretty much same as mine. Just met with the NV Contractors Board to go over my complaint. Turns out this company illegally charged me over the $1000 deposit limit that is allowed. If you have also been overcharged illegally for a deposit request a refund and make note of this companies shady practices. This is to notify you that you have performed subpar work at my property. 1. My property was completely level before you performed any work as witnessed by the included pictures. 2. The existing sod was removed and reinstalled at a height higher than the rest of the existing sod (improper grading) witnessed by included pictures. The sprinklers are not adjusted properly and overshoot the walkway and the rocks on the other side. 3. The paver walkway was to go to an existing paver pad that was centered with the corner of the wall. You removed the existing paver pad and did not install the current one centered with the corner of the wall as witnessed by included pictures. All renderings of the project have the paver pad centered with the corner of the wall. 4. The paver pad slopes on one side and is not level with the existing patio as witnessed by the pictures with the level. The walkway and pad were not graded and leveled properly to match the existing backyard landscaping. The walkway was supposed to be 33" and is only 30". 5. The curved wall is not uniform. The cap ranges between 1/2 inch and 3 inches overhang. Proper cuts were not made to have a rounded flow. I have included a picture of what a proper curved wall looks like. 6. My existing lights were "thrown away" without consultation. The side lights were never discussed. I do not know why they were even removed as the only work on the side was to be the addition of the vines and replacement of rock. I purchased some lights for the backyard from you but never told you to throw away the existing ones. Nor was there ever a discussion as to what I would like done with them. I consider this theft and want them replaced. 7. A small paver pad was to be included on the side to transition to the side yard. This was not done. 8. The plants in the front courtyard--one was planted too close to the wall and they do not appear to have been planted in a uniform growing pattern. I have included pictures of my previous existing landscape along with the current subpar work that your company did. I am preparing a complaint with the Nevada State Contractors Board. It appears you tried to take advantage of me being a single female over 60. Every concern I brought to your attention you would shut me down and dismiss it. Every time (briefly) you showed up you talked incessantly about your personal life for 20-30 minutes at a time and would not focus on the workmanship of the job or relay to your workers the decisions we agreed upon. I have included a list of the conversations you started. Conversations: 1st day--showed up and talked for 20 minutes about how your neighbor was Mark Wahlberg's cousin. Left and came back and asked me to guess whose house you had just been to then told me about it being Mark Wahlberg's Dr.'s house. (Totally confused me and I wondered about your mental stability as you had just told me a story about your neighbor being Mark Wahlberg's cousin). Told me how your neighbor turned off your lights because they were red. Talked about the election nonstop. Talked about how much weight your wife had lost. Talked about how some lady customer gave you a hard time due to your guys not showing up on a Friday and then ended up tipping each of them $500. (Completely inappropriate, btw, as it felt like you were pressuring me to tip your crew). Talked about how someone who just fired you due to her and another worker lamenting Trump and you telling them you are a Trumpster. Told me that all your guys were voting for Trump. Told me how it was you that had instrumented the law to be changed so landscape companies could only charge a 10% deposit. These are only the most memorable. It was a 5 day project and you were only at my home once in the morning. As you can see, this was a lot of conversation for a minimal amount of time that you were here. These were all lengthy conversations that I could not redirect to discussing my backyard project. The decisions that were discussed, you would not convey to your workers because you would start talking again and forget to. A few more things that were completely inept: Waiting until the last day to go to the nursery. Taking me to a nursery that had limited supply. Having your guys grab 5 plants instead of picking them out for the best quality. The vines on the side should be spread out to grow to cover the wall. They were left straight up and down towering over my wall. I lost complete confidence in your ability and was sick of listening to your diatribes and just wanted you off my property. This is why I chose not to have you put in more plants and trees. read more

We hired NV Landscapes to perform some much needed enhancements to our yard as well as some maintenance, palm and cactus trimming. To satisfy their $3000 minimum fee we added some Windsor Blocks to replace the crummy old scalloped concrete edging stones and replaced the irregular exposed aggregate step stones with flagstone. They did good work, full crews, polite and professional. I did have them reset the front flagstone walkway to be more stable and level as the first attempt was poorly done. They fixed it without complaining and I'm quite satisfied with the results. You can confidently hire NV Landscapes for your project. read more

My husband and I hired NV Landscaping for yard maintenance over the summer while he was deployed, with the understanding they did full renovations. Ricardo came that same week for a quote and a chat about our needs and wants. For months they came bi-weekly without any issues, and with full transparency on when they were coming. The office sends out reminders via email and all payments can be made through their online portal, which made everything so easy. Months later we were ready for our full back yard transformation. Ricardo came out again and made all the necessary measurements and mocked up our new backyard right then and there. Days later we got the blueprint and full outlined quote for materials and labor. Via the portal we were able to see the estimate and every other element of our account, including approvals and payment. When it came time to get to work their team was ready to go, always on-time and with notice. A project manager or Ricardo himself were on site checking progress and double checking specs everyday. The total project took 6.5 days, and they leveled the whole yard, even adding curbing to separate the grass and river rock. The pavers were done so well and so efficiently. We even added a few more aspects to the scope of the project and they handled everything so professionally, never promising anything they couldn't deliver. After the project was completed our PM came for a final walk through and to collect the last payment. We are so happy and relieved to have found a company who honors their promises and delivers quality craftsmanship. I vetted many landscaping companies and ultimately chose NV Landscapes due to their professionalism and the fact they were the only ones that could present a legit contract for review prior to hire (I work in BigLaw and really know the importance of a solid contract). They were also very reasonably priced in comparison to the other bids I got and honest & upfront in their recommendations. Carla in the office is a pleasure to work with. My sales rep Ricardo is very responsive and knowledgeable, and also had referrals for gate/fence and paint/stucco vendors to collaborate with. I have a very small yard so I came up with a design concept that I hoped would convey a Palm Springs MCM-esque feel and feel larger than it looks. He was extremely patient in working with me on materials selection as I was super picky on what I wanted but ultimately needed to stick within my budget so I kept changing my mind and got multiple quotes from him with no complaint. By the time I had finalized & approved my contract, it was already the beginning of the busy summer season so there was a 3 month wait and I was scheduled for right before Labor Day weekend. I got a call 2 weeks before saying they were ahead of schedule and if they could start the next day. It took about 4 days to complete the job. The crew was professional & hardworking. There was a miscommunication on the paver layout that I caught after they started and they redid it without any complaints. On their last day there, we fed them a pizza lunch with homemade sourdough pizza made by my husband (a professional chef) which they really enjoyed. Overall, I would recommend NV Landscapes 100% and plan on using them for my side yard & future projects. My pups really enjoy the yard too and sunbathing on the turf with their new Moai friend. NV Landscapes made our modest little backyard, a desert oasis. We wanted to have a multipurpose space with new sod, pavers and planters. We also wanted posts set for hanging a shade sail. We can use the pavers in the Summer for an above ground pool, and in the winter for seating and a fire pit. (We didn't want the pool to ruin the grass.) Their representative came out and walked the yard, measured, and got back to us with a quote within a couple of days. We approved the quote, paid a deposit and set the date. The bid was reasonable so we moved forward. When the date came the crew was on time and a pleasure to work with. NV Landscapes has a good system for confirming appointments via text messages and email. We were always informed. No issues at all. We met the owner, very nice guy that cares about his employees. We had the best experience with the Richard and NV Landscapes. I found him on Yelp and I am so happy that we did. First thing, he is super fast to respond and super professional. We were quoted similar prices by another landscaping company, but we just liked Richard's personality the most. It took 3 weeks to start the job, and about 10 days to finish it. When we ran into issues, Richard was quick to respond and helped us until we were satisfied. He didn't have to, but he came every day that his employees were here to check on their work and he was constantly in touch with them. NV Landscapes did the retaining wall, concrete, rocks, plants, and turf. Sometimes, a big landscaping job can have unpredictable events, but they were all handled so well.
