I give them the highest recommendation. Also, the store also gets high accolades for me for their bright, modern appearance, cleanliness, friendly staff, selection of specialty foods, fair prices, and wonderful self check out even though the parking lot is always a little busy. She listened to what I wanted, and when I showed her a photo of my daughter's dress, she made great suggestions. The next day, I was surprised to receive a phone call from Sharon. It turned out that my daughter's date had also ordered a prom flowers at Dave's and Sharon was calling to ask if it would be ok if she deviated a little from what we had discussed so that their boutonniere and bouquet could match. I oof course said yes, and I was so impressed that Sharon had taken time to call me and I was equally impressed with how much thought she was putting into the flowers. Both the bouquet and the boutonniere were absolutely beautiful with dainty lavender roses, white hydrangeas, lovely accent greens, and a beautiful bow. The service I received here and the quality of the flowers was outstanding - far better than some full service florists. I'll definitely be going back here for future dance flowers, and I'd like to give a huge shoutout to Sharon for her thoughtfulness and the beautiful flowers she provided for prom.

With brand names as well as local products, Dave's is what I look for in a local grocery market.

This is what a family run grocery store looks like before they sell out. You can just tell, this is their baby. They care so much. They put their heart and soul into running these stores, and it shows. I felt like I was in a Bucee's, and I don't know if I could give a higher compliment. Perhaps the most surprising thing of all was the $4.69 rotisserie chicken. This marks the cheapest tissi Chicken Wars has ever seen. Cheaper than Costco and Sam's Club. How are they doing this? My one concern was that the chicken came in saran wrap, which I thought would make the skin all soggy. The other 32 grocery stores I've tried all came in a plastic bag or plastic container. However, I respected the confidence. They're not scared to do something no one else is doing. Talent hits a target no one else can hit, genius hits a target no one else can see. We got this bird and took it to a park down the street, and I began consumption. The skin was ideal, a perfect golden brown with a slight crisp. The saran wrap didn't make it soggy at all. The breast was perfectly tender and was delicious. I didn't need one sip of water throughout the whole bird. The leg was operating at a high level as well, falling off the bone. I sat on this park bench in awe. How? How can this be $4.69, a good size, and this good? It didn't make sense. I'm still struggling to come to terms with it. I ended up giving it an 8.9/10, which makes it tied for 3rd with the Fresh Market. My only critique is it didn't have as much flavor as Fairway or Publix, but it was right there. I was so inspired that I went back in and tried to buy a hat, but they didn't sell any smh. I was especially thankful for this, as we needed a road win in New England. The other 2 birds I tried up here were ROUGH. A nice side effect of this journey has been traveling to try new birds. Every time I travel, I feel like I gain a wealth of knowledge in a short period of time. I grow and learn every time I go to a new place, and to me, that's what life is all about. I was able to get some fresh fruit chopped up for half price to bring to a get together today. The woman who cashed me out was very nice, just starting her shift at the register, and was conversative which was nice. Once I finished loading groceries into my car a nice employee -older man -asked if he could take my cart for me. I was just about to bring it back inside myself but this was nice and we told each other to have a nice day. Just some simple kindness goes a long way. The store itself feels a bit smaller than other ones I've been to, but the cleanliness and the staff are top notch. I was looking for some beverages and they had a good selection of seltzer water, sodas and teas. I have always trusted their 365 private label brand, they do a great job on matching or exceeding the quality of national labels, great job, Whole Foods. The story of this chain goes like this, in 1978, twenty-five-year-old college dropout John Mackey and twenty-one-year-old Renee Lawson (Hardy), borrowed $45,000 from family and friends to open the doors of a small natural foods store called SaferWay in Austin, Texas. When the couple got booted out of their apartment for storing food products there, they decided to simply live at the store. Since it was zoned commercial, there was no shower stall. Instead, they bathed in the Hobart dishwasher, which had an attached water hose. Two years later, John and Renee partnered with Craig Weller and Mark Skiles to merge SaferWay with their Clarksville Natural Grocery, resulting in the opening of the original Whole Foods Market on September 20, 1980. At 10,500 square feet and a staff of 19, this store was quite large in comparison to the standard health food store of the time. Less than a year later, on Memorial Day in 1981, the worst flood in 70 years devastated the city of Austin. Caught in the flood waters, the store's inventory was wiped out and most of the equipment was damaged. The losses were approximately $400,000 and Whole Foods Market had no insurance.
