    Very nice Pinot!

I was hesitant about this place because it was French and I'm Italian! Well I was wrong!! We went for our 38th wedding anniversary last night! Greeted and seated right away! The inside is very well decorated and felt very comfortable. The restaurant had an open feeling and you could see the chefs in the kitchen! They have bar seating also! We got lucky because the special was Mussels in an amazing broth served with fries ! My wife had the Scallops and I had the Beef Bourguignon. Both were amazing! My beef was so tender and the broth it was in was amazing! I would have liked a little less broth and maybe some potato's or rice with the dish or polenta! Italian I know!! I also ordered bread with the meal! For $7 you get a large amount of Della bread! It's a bit pricey but you get what you pay for! Great service great food and plenty of it! We will be back! Edit: As I was looking at other reviews and photos I saw a review photo with the Beef Bourg over mashed potatoes ! Yum!!! Bring it back!!!

Tellement bon! Authentic French cuisine you will enjoy from the start to the end. $$ but well worth the quality and portions. Service was excellent and very attentive to your needs; young servers and experienced maître d' making sure everything was to your satisfaction. Along comes the chef greeting us and other guests ensuring all is as we expected. Quaint restaurant in an unassuming location with minimalist decor still representing French atmosphere I recommend trying this place out.

Nick Ronan makes you feel like you are a guest in his home. He made me the dish I wanted fir my birthday-not even on menu.

We popped in recently for dinner and really had a great time. Service was great - very friendly and accommodating! Since it isn't posted on their menu or site, the corkage for 750ml is $35. Not the cheapest in town but fairly reasonable these days. We started with the leek salad and a special appetizer tartiflette, a French Alpine comfort dish that was super rich and satisfying, especially on a cold winter's night! We should've asked the price first but it ended up being $44, which seems really expensive for an appetizer. The leek salad was cool and refreshing with a creamy dressing and some almonds for textural contrast. Highly recommend this if you enjoy alliums! For mains, I opted for the saucisson lyonnaise, which was really tasty with the mustard sauce. Pistachios added some crunch and the dried fruit added some sweetness and acidity. This is a rich, but well-balanced dish... and as you can see from the pics, they are absolutely not shy with the size of the entrees. My wife has the pork tenderloin wrapped in bacon. In retrospect, the tartiflette also had bacon so we should've had something else but still, the pork was incredibly tender, juicy, and well seasoned. The sauce was rich and complex while the apples added the necessary acidity. Overall, the food was just a lot more polished and enjoyable compared to our first trip. Now in terms of price - it's expensive. Two appetizers, two entrees, and one corkage was $200 before tip. This is a bit expensive to visit semi-regularly, so we'll likely come again for a special occasion!

4.6/5 Stars--Strongly recommend! Ambiance: It's a smaller restaurant, quite busy on SAT Night but wasn't terribly noisy! Service:No complaints here-4.5/5, Above average. Prices :Decent/Good except I felt Corkage fee was a little aggressive. FOOD-Good to Outstanding. The Scallops were quite frankly SUBLIME. The Chef's special Chicken breast that we had was slightly dry and underwhelming after the Scallops.

Always an amazing time here, the service is great and the food is always top notch. This time we got the Garlic sausage brioche which was unexpected and so tasty! Then we had Beef Bourgignon and the Duck Leg Confit which were both amazing. Finished it off with tableside creme brulee.

Very popular venue. Definitely need to make reservations. They sat us under the air conditioner which was blowing cold air directly down on our table. I asked to move and fortunately we had an early evening reservation so they could accommodate the request. Our server was very kind and helpful throughout the entire meal. It was hard to tell whether we were being rushed or the bus boy was just obsessive compulsive. He kept appearing every five minutes to ask if we were done. The pro forma visit by the owner was a nice touch but I came for the food. We ordered salmon gravlax which came in a glass jar with elegant platform of bread covered with cucumbers to spread it on. Unfortunately we ran out and had to request the bread service. My guest ordered the duck and I had the scallops. The duck was ample but standard fare. The scallops had a nice sear and cooked to perfection but came in a soup like sauce that lacked flavor or texture. Based on the experience we passed on dessert. The wine list was comprehensive with great French choices at prices reflective of our tariffs. Next time I'll bring the wine. There is plenty of parking around the back you just have to know it's ok to park there. All in all there are better choices in Peteluma for the same price.

Long story short, my wife requested a dining experience at Brigitte for her birthday. We'll let me tell you, it was indeed an experience. First, the steak tartare, that reminded me of the steak tartare that I used to have weekly at the Swiss Center in London back in the 80's. Just like at the Swiss Center, Brigitte also had that made table side for us. Brigitte's steak tartare is so good that I can still taste it just by thinking about it. Second, here came the culinary surprise... THE DUNGENESS CRAB appetizer. Please keep this on the menu, as I will come for this again and again. We should have ordered bread to wipe everything off from this plate. This has got to be one of the best crab dishes I ever tasted. Just like the steak tartare, I can still taste it just by thinking about it. I could go on and on about the rest of our dinner experience... the steak, the black cod, with those amazing sauce... Nick is definitely on top of his game here with his excellent team of staff.

Kindest people, food that you actually leave and say WOW that was worth every bite, warm and inviting. I am so impressed across the board. Where can you walk in and be greeted by the owner with a hug and a smile on his face while he says, "welcome home." It just doesn't exist anymore. Beef bourguignon is a must.

Service- 5/5 our server was funny and friendly.he was great and gave us good recommendations Ambiance-4/5 it is a cute place. A tad noisy but only because it was packed with customers Food 4/5 Overall really yummy French bistro dishes Salad Lyonnaise was a bit too greasy for me from the pancetta. Also a tad bit too warm for my taste The appetizer special- it was mushroom with bone marrow (can't remember the name)- Sooooo good. I can eat that all day! Chicken "paupiette" and beef bourguignon- classic and so delicious. We ate every bite! The sauce was the best. Floating island- is like a big piece of macaroon with cream and walnuts. We love it. I personally think the walnut can be chop in pieces instead of whole but that's just a matter of opinion I will definitely come back when I visit Petaluma

Brigitte Bistro is one of our most favorite restaurants in all of CA Wine Country and last night was simply perfection. ‍ From the moment you walk in the door, you are made to feel so welcome and transported to France. Everything on the menu is divine. Don't miss the escargot with marrow bone, traditional table side streak tartare, beef bourguignon, Wagyu steak frites... it's all so freaking good! Bonus points for excellent service! Chef Nick knows hospitality! The entire staff is A++

My boyfriend and I were trying to figure out Valentine's Day plans and immediately thought of Brigitte Bistro. We first came back in September and were absolutely blown away, and it has been on our minds ever since. From the curated wine list to their showstopping dishes, they hold French cuisine in the highest regard while still bringing an innovative touch that never strays from its roots. Every dish feels thoughtful, balanced, and deeply satisfying in that classic bistro way. The tableside tartare, tiramisu, and crème brûlée are such standouts and really allow the team to showcase their commitment to hospitality. There is something so special about those interactive moments that make the meal feel memorable rather than just delicious. This is a place that has consistently shown us exactly what we did not know we wanted and completely blown us away each time. It feels both special occasion worthy and somewhere you could become a regular, which is such a rare balance. I truly cannot wait to go back and keep working through the menu and seeing what they do next. My one note would be that the ventilation is not the strongest, but honestly it almost adds to the experience and cozy charm in a way that feels very true to a classic bistro atmosphere.

They served their sparkling brut Rose and plenty of Pinot Noir, all from Sonoma County, Sonoma Coastal, & Petaluma Gap appellation. One that stood out to us was the 2022 Dragons Back Pinot Noir. A classic tasty Pinot. They went all out and offered tasty bites that really enhanced their wines. They used to be in Healdsburg at Bacchus Landing a much larger location but not centrally located so moving to historical downtown Petaluma gives them an opportunity to attract a larger audience especially since their wines are sourced from the cooler Sonoma county region. What a fine job of remodeling the tasting room. I don't know how they did it but somehow the place seems wider and larger than the previous tasting room at this location. They opened the back with some large gathering tables and their vast selection of records is housed in the back as well. They added some small tables throughout the space. It's easy to maneuver. They also allow guests to bring food inside, so you can sip, sit, nosh & listen to some tunes. There are plenty of eateries around so it's any easy stop. As I write this review I'm reminiscing how well their Sparkling Brut Rose and Dragons Back Pinot Noir went so well with a prosciutto sandwich they offered at their grand opening. A great match, and good representation of Sonoma Coast, Petaluma Gap wines.

California's wine country has made its presence known in the heart of California's cheese country!…read moreLocated in the heart of downtown Petaluma, the Montagne Russe tasting room is the newest tasting room in Petaluma taking over from where Black Knight Vineyards recently had a tasting room. Montagne Russe's full name is Montagne Russe Winery and Record Lounge, and it is exactly what it is, as it is part wine tasting room and part vinyl record store with hundreds of new and pre-used classic record albums for sale. What a perfect place to sip great wine while enjoying hit tracks from the past. Montagne Russe pours some of the nicest wines sourced from across Sonoma County, especially the nearby Petaluma Gap, making this newest tasting venue an ideal spot to soak in the atmosphere while supporting a local business. We've visited Montagne Russe before when their tasting room was at Bacchus Landing in Healdsburg, and while it was a beautiful space, it wasn't always busy. So it's no surprise they made the move to downtown Petaluma this past year. We'd been wanting to check out their new location since they opened over the summer, and finally got the chance during a recent weekend afternoon. With lively crowds outside, parking was harder to come by, as the recommended Keller Street Garage was completely full, but a short walk from the River Plaza parking lot did the trick. Even though we had reservations, we didn't end up needing them when we arrived, but the tasting room was full by the time we left. Winemaker and owner Kevin Bersofsky greeted us with a complimentary splash of their 2022 Sparkling Brut Rosé which had subtle hints of citrus throughout. From there, I enjoyed their Library tasting while my friend enjoyed their Signature tasting, both of which were offered at 35 dollars a person. For our second tasting, I enjoyed their 2019 Silver and Gold Chardonnay while my friend enjoyed their 2023 Roberts Road Chardonnay. My tasting of the Chardonnay tasted as it it was lower in alcohol, but higher in acid than my friend's Chardonnay, but both tasted wonderful. For our third pour, we enjoyed their signature Pinot Noirs, we me enjoying their vintage from 2019 and my friend sipped on their 2022 vintage, which were both sourced from Black Knight Vineyard, of which their wine tasting room they replaced in downtown Petaluma. For our fourth pour, I enjoyed their 2021 Terra De Promissio Pinot Noir, while my friend enjoyed their 2022 "Quatre Cinq Un" Pinot Noir, for both of these wines, the tannins were not too overpowering but you could definitely taste them. For our fifth and final pour, I enjoyed their 2018 Robert's Road Pinot Noir, which had hints of baking spices and cherries, while my friend enjoyed their 2021 Alder Springs Syrah, which was lush and silky smooth. For 70 dollars, not including gratuity, we enjoyed a lovely afternoon of wine tasting. When we made our reservation, there was a note about being able to bring in takeout from nearby restaurants, though it never came up once we began our tasting and honestly, we were too focused on the wines to think about food. As the afternoon went on, the crowd grew significantly, and at times it felt like we got a bit lost in the shuffle when it came to service. Still, we made the most of our visit and thoroughly enjoyed both the wines and the people-watching. With Montagne Russe still relatively new to the downtown Petaluma community, I can easily see them thriving here for a long time to come.

You have a choice of ordering on a tablet at the table or the server also came by to ask if he could take our order. Ordering on the tablet was super easy and straight forward. We ordered gyoza as an appetizer, one chirashi (sushi rice with fresh fish on top), and three of us ordered the 2-item bento: Teriyaki salmon & tempura Chicken katsu & shio saba Bulgogi & spicy tuna roll The bentos come with a nice miso soup and salad. Again, a very thoughtful touch. Our food was paced well and our server came to replace our carafe of water with a full one without having to ask. I heard the bulgogi was a bit on the sweeter side and the chirashi had a beautiful assortment of seafood. We enjoyed trying a new place and would definitely come back. We were going to order only 1 churro but the server offered that the churros are gluten free so we ordered two orders! The menu doesn't say this, so FYI. They were one of the best potato preparations I've ever had. Shockingly fluffy and light inside literally like a potato cloud. Maybe the cheese helps with this? I don't know but get them. Salad was good, nice mix of greens. A little wet for my taste if I'm choosing but I'm also not complaining, it was yummy. The potatoes were a perfect dish to come with the salad since otherwise it didn't have a crunch element. This is the first time I've gotten the collar and it was as meaty as it is. I've ordered at other restaurants before and it was not as successful of a dish as here. Loved the sauce and flavors on it. It was kinda sticky due to the sauce but I mean that in a good way, to add to the flavor and overall balance of texture and flavor The snapper lettuce wraps were also yummy! Kind of laborious to get the fish to eat ready but worth the effort, same with the collar too, but also worth the "work" to get the meat off the bones. The snapper has a lot of pin bones but otherwise really yummy bite. The rock wall in the alley creates a whole vibe with the lights and such. It is also one of the oldest walls in Petaluma, which is pretty cool. Slim menu but excellent. The restaurant is tiny, like 6 tables. Being on the patio was nice, more room. Our meal split 4 ways was delicious and filling but also light and sat well in our bellies. I'd absolutely come back again.

Two of us had the Paella which was very good, a third ordered the excellent Lamb Shank and the fourth had the top notch Pork Rib platter which completely disappeared very quickly. Perhaps next time we'll try the Ceviche as we will return if they can remain in business with such little traffic. While not inexpensive the value is solid as you would pay far more in any other good Sonoma County restaurants for similar dishes. Polite if a bit shy service but man did she light up when we went head over heels over her family home made hot sauces which are a "must try" if you have an appropriate appetizer. Ask for them as they bring you tasty but not too spicy standard condiments. Oh, and very clean restrooms and well paced food serving times. Keep this place open, try it sooner vs later.

They need to work on the green sauce as it is more like salsa verde than aji verde, could be spicier too. I will return. I need to try the Chaufa.

We were greeted and seated pretty quickly. The server got us drinks as soon as we sat down. It was quaint, and clean. Friendly atmosphere. We ordered a large Italian salad to share, and a large combination pizza. The salad was fresh and it was good. I love salad. Our pizza came pretty quickly and was delicious. The crust is thick. I knew it would be. I think I prefer a thin crust. Other than my preference the pizza was delicious from the stuffed crust to the delicious toppings and the sauce was perfect, not too much not too little. Thankyou so much for the awesome lunch and great service.

We had the Italian salad, garlic bread, and a medium deep dish pizza. Everything was super fresh! Salad was great - their blue cheese dressing was killer! Garlic bread was so hot we'd had to wait to divide it - and had enough garlic to keep the vampires at bay. Pizza was incredible and melty cheesy delight! Come hungry! I tub that medium pizza could have fed five! Overall a delight! Do glad we stopped in - I certainly won't wait ten years before coming back!

This review reflects my experience with the restaurant's gift card process and, more specifically,…read morethe lack of communication, follow-through, and accountability from owner Tony Najiola over the course of several months. This review is not a reflection of the restaurant's food, service, or dining experience. In November 2025 I purchased a $150 gift card through Central Market's website via Toast. The gift card was never received. I first reached out in February 2026 to inquire about the missing gift card. Tony responded the following day suggesting that I may have been scammed. After I clarified that the purchase was made directly through Central Market's website, he acknowledged that he had misunderstood, stated that this was a known issue, and told me he would contact Toast to investigate. March 2026: A month passed with no update whatsoever. I called the restaurant and spoke with Tony directly. He told me that I would need to contact Toast myself--a completely different answer from what had previously been discussed. April 2026: I informed Tony via email that Toast's customer service system specifically states that support is intended for restaurant businesses, not customers. I followed up again by email on 4/30 asking if he had received my message and whether there was any update. I have received no response since. What is most disappointing is the lack of clarity and consistency throughout this process. At various points, I was told I may have been scammed, then told it was a known issue that would be investigated, and finally told to resolve it myself through a company that does not provide support to customers in this situation. Not once was there a proactive update, clear explanation, or meaningful attempt to resolve the issue. More than five months after paying $150, I still do not have the gift card (which was intended as a Christmas present for a close friend), a refund, or even the courtesy of a response to my follow-up emails. When a business takes a customer's money, there should be some level of accountability when something goes wrong. At this point, I can only conclude that customer service is not a priority. The complete lack of communication and follow-through has left me feeling that my concerns--and my business--simply do not matter. Based on my experience, I would strongly caution others against purchasing gift cards through their website.

I am also really into their home style Italian meals. First, I love the staff here. They were so helpful and accomodating of our special needs child. The servers are really great and take good care of their tables. Also, I really like the classy, kind of old fashioned look of the place. It's kind of classy, but also totally casual. The food here is the main reason I come. The happy hour is great for a little lower costs on a few of their food items. We love ordering some meatballs, a salad, and one of their pizzas. The pizza we had was their Green Goddess and it was delicious! I also ordered their fresh baked sourdough with butter and it's one of the most comforting foods to me. I also got their Seafood Pasta, which reminds me of my East coast, Italian roots. The Italian sausage in the dish works beautifully with the assortment of perfectly cooked seafood and pasta. Hanks is definitely a place I will return to anytime I get the chance. It's a great place!

Additionally, on Thursdays, they have half off wine bottles, which puts pricing on par with the retail cost of buying the wine. This might be my new favorite Thursday happy hour option! In terms of food, we always get their Caesar salad - crispy, fresh romaine, perfectly dressed, crunchy croutons, and real anchovies on top! The pizzas are all solid, but our go-to is the meat pizza. The calamari is also nice and crispy! The wine selection is relatively small, and of course focused on Italian producers/varietals, but everything is reasonably priced at around 2x retail. With the Thursday wine discount, it's a great place to try some new varietals like Schiava (Trollinger or Vernatsch), which is a chilled light red with nice acidity and earthiness, or a bigger red like the inky Negroamaro from Puglia. It's a great place to learn about Italian varietals!
