First, I have had facials in different parts of the country and overseas. I know what is a true and real facial feels like. This was not it. This is on me for not making time on carefully research this place. The DMK felt like the " esthetician" watched bunch of you tube videos and mimic the steps. There was no facial massage, it was more like throwing the products on your face which literally it happened that way. Lily was lovely and everything but one thing is the personality the other is the execution of work. The place: people go to have a facial or massage in a place that is zen and quiet. It's a space for healing and focus. There's no privacy. The working areas are separated by panels. There are no doors but curtains facing the checkout counter. I could hear the next door client chatting with her esthetician nonstop. For that you go to therapy or simply have that session at home. It was distracting and extremely annoying. The choice of music and volume not okay. It gave me the impression these people wants to make quick money without having proper practice and real experience. I'll keep looking and make the time to check on their certificates online. The ones on the wall look pretty fake. I know this is a brutal review but this impression was fully created by you-- the business. I support women owning businesses but please do it right!

I have to schedule around my work-life balance, so it is difficult for me to get my preferred cerologist every time, but thankfully I have yet to have a less-than-stellar experience with any of the ladies. Yes, waxing is uncomfortable, but the ladies are professionally trained to make it as quick and painless as possible. I never had skin irritation, missed hairs, bumps, bruises, ingrown hairs, burns, or rashes afterward. The one hour of free parking is convenient as I am usually in and out in 20 minutes. It is immaculate that I never have to be concerned with catching the cooties. Once you go wax you will never go back!

Extremely disappointing customer service at the Franklin location…read more I've been a longtime European Wax Center customer and have purchased multiple Wax Passes over the years. I regularly purchase a variety of services from European Wax Center and have consistently invested in the company, so this experience was especially disappointing. I had a 9:00 AM appointment at the Brentwood location, which I confirmed the night before. Unfortunately, I became unexpectedly ill that morning and was actively vomiting. I was unable to call before my appointment, but I contacted the Brentwood location around 9:30 AM. They explained that I would be charged 50% of the service, which I understand is the company's cancellation/no-show policy. I had no issue with the Brentwood staff for enforcing the policy. My concern was that, given the circumstances and my history as a loyal customer, I was hoping for a one-time courtesy. I was advised to contact other locations because I may be able to get in touch with the district manager through one of them, so I called the Franklin location. The person I spoke with told me she could help me, but she did not identify herself, so I had to ask who I was speaking with. That was when I learned she was the general manager of the Franklin location, whose name I believe was Megan. From the beginning of the conversation, I found her tone unnecessarily rude and dismissive, despite the fact that I was speaking to her respectfully and simply trying to explain my situation. I explained multiple times that I understood the policy and was simply asking for a one-time exception because I had unexpectedly become very sick. Rather than feeling heard, I felt dismissed and patronized. I was repeatedly reminded that I had confirmed my appointment the night before, despite explaining that I confirmed it because I fully intended to attend. I was also told that the no-show would remain on my profile. At one point, after I expressed that I did not feel her response reflected genuine understanding of the situation, she asked, "Is there anything else I can help you with, dear?" Given the tone and context of the conversation, I found this particularly patronizing and dismissive. I understand that the policy ultimately stands, and I was never asking for the policy to be eliminated. I was asking for consideration in an isolated situation as a longtime customer. The issue is how this situation was handled and how I was treated when I reached out for help. Unfortunately, this interaction has changed how I feel about continuing my relationship with European Wax Center, and I do not plan to purchase additional Wax Passes once my current passes expire. Policies can be enforced while still treating customers with empathy and respect. I was disappointed that this was not my experience. If I could give zero stars, I definitely would.

She was very professional and also fun to talk to, which always makes the wax easier and faster! So needless to say, because of her lack of concern for my time , I missed my next appointment. I think this event is bad enough to switch locations. Too bad cuz it's 1/2 mile from my house. I happened to mention to a friend how I wished I could have my head massaged by a professional and…read moreshe turned me onto the concept of "head spa," which I had never heard of before. Well, I went down a rabbit hole and found Poppy and Monroe! A head spa is more than just a massage. At Poppy and Monroe, they give you a scalp analysis, massage, and essential oil treatments, with plenty of warm, rushing water to rinse and finesse. My treatment, which was pretty pricey at around 300 bucks, also included a facial (the esthetician rubbing my face was divine), foot massage, and hand/arm massage. At the beginning of the head treatment, Anna (who was AMAZING, by the way) showed me what was good and bad about my hair and scalp--my scalp was some of the best she'd seen, but was a little pale and needed more blood flow. She then showed me what my scalp looked like after that treatment, and there was indeed more blood flow, and looked more vibrant and less anemic. Anna was professional and kind and told me what she was doing every step of the way. She made sure I was comfortable the whole time. Everything felt wonderful. The vibe was calm. I felt relaxed. After the visit, Anna gave me pointers on how to care for my scalp and recommendations for returning for further treatments, but not in a gimmicky-trying-to-sell-me-stuff way. The space is warm and welcoming and also offers pedicures, manicures, and makeup sessions. The pedicure/manicure spaces are a little close together for my taste (I prefer private rooms), but they are stylish and clean. I plan to come back and see Anna again to work on my self care regimen. And there are lots of cute restaurants and shops in the area, so you can park and make an afternoon of it!
