Booked an appt online and on my shopping day this was my second stop. After a morning spent at a different store (popular franchise), I was overwhelmed, underhelped and exhausted by the time I got to Brilliant. But from the minute me and my bridesmaids walked in the door, we were showered with friendly greetings and personal attention. Amazing experience. Other boutiques do not live up to the hype of cinema romanticizations of the dress hopping experience. This place exceeds them. The service is absolutely AMAZING. You feel more beautiful than you could imagine by the time you leave because the staff goes out of their way to lift you up. Natali (who sweetly dubs each client her new bestie) was my stylist both times and treated me (and the bridesmaids) like a queen. She did not pressure me at all and worked so hard to make the process fun and special. You can bring your own champagne to the well-appointed seating area where you can show your looks off to your crew in omni mirrors while the stylist fluffs and trusses. All dresses are off the rack so you get to take them home but it is in no way a bargain bin type place; though the prices are definitely bargains. I flew back to Dallas in April 2023 to visit family and go to a few bridal stores. I am paying for my own wedding and I am a teacher so i'm broke broke lol. Brilliant Bridal was my second store out of 4 booked places.... and I found it on Google! I went in with low expectations because I didn't realize how expensive dresses are/were. When I walked in, the place was so bright and CLEAN! We were seated by the window... loved the natural light because our wedding is a bit outdoors. Aiesha was AMAZING!!! She did not give me her option or persuade me (which I like). I was able to make my own decisions and she even gave me half an hour to chat with my family after trying on 3 dresses. I was able to pull my own ideas of what I liked, Aiesha was going to pull more but I fell in love with TWO! She placed multiple veils on me and some other cute accessories to make it feel REAL. My budget was $700-800 for the dress but overall $1,200 for alterations and a veil. The fact that I don't need ANY alterations and my dress was about $900-950 including the tax and the nice travel bag... AMAZING! Bonus: My baby niece (6-7 months old) was able to join us- most bridal places don't allow children, even babies. I love love my dress. I am forever grateful. I never went to visit any other stores! Remember how I told you I don't like shopping? Well, Megan made me ENJOY this experience. She is extremely passionate about helping ladies find their wedding dress and that energy is so contagious. Service! Second shop in our search. Definitely an upscale level of service. Asked how many were in our party as we entered. Seems that determines what area they set you up. Happily the 2 of us allowed for a more private space which suited us very well. We were asked to peruse their inventory ourselves for a bit, but honestly a area of wrapped dresses that are so much taller than us was a bit daunting and initially we were not very successful. Our stylist Saunya seeing our lack of progress began asking questions about desired style, cut etc. and began shuffling a few curated gowns to the bride. What made this so very different from our first stop was inventory knowledge. She knew her product. Fourth dress in - she had discerned her style and body type as well as the more challenging requirement, some modesty in the dress. In a time where it seems skin is in on these gowns, romantic, feminine and modest enough was difficult to find. She did it. And when alterations were specifically suggested to assist in achieving this result, Monique came in with master techniques in showing the bride how the alterations would achieve her dream gown and supplied a list of preferred craftsman AND the one who she perceived to be her best choice to get there. My dress shopping experience started off less than desirable at a shop in McKinney - they didn't ask me (or my party) any questions about myself, our engagement, my style, our wedding... anything! First, they take COVID precautions seriously (temps taken upon arrival, hand washing immediately, masks at at all and a limited number of guests!) which I'm always happy to see. Second, their energy from the get go is so great. They're excited to see you from the moment you walk in and it carries throughout the entire appointment! My consultant, Eboni, was top notch. I cannot recommend her enough! She immediately sat us all down, asked questions about our wedding, my style, etc. She really made an effort to get an idea of what I was looking for. Throughout the entire appointment she continued to get to know me, asking about my ring, fiancé, and our engagement. She listened to me, made great recommendations, and pretty much knew what I was thinking before I could even say anything. The selection and quality of dresses was amazing! I was worried they wouldn't have many different options or styles in my size but I was blown away at the variety that I was able to try on. I know shopping off the rack could possibly affect the quality of the dress but not at Brilliant - they were all stunning and in perfect or near-perfect condition. When I was ready to say "YES!!" Eboni knew it was coming - she brought over three other consultants to celebrate with me, brought tissues, took photos and encouraged the ladies trying on dresses next to us to celebrate with us too!
