Alright, so this review is for the North Hills office…read more Just got back from seeing Dr. Liefeld there, to make sure some knee pain i've had on and off (basically a dull ache) for several years that can get worse at times with skiing, running without my knee brace, etc., wasn't anything serious. Long story short it's not. Honestly only going with 4 stars for the office because the ladies up front and the physician's assistant were very nice and helpful. The Physician's assistant was more helpful than the doc, and frankly more personable. He came in, prodded my left knee, did the same stuff for comparison to my other knee and prescribed my physical therapy. All in a very short, brusque manner. I get it that it was 1st thing, relatively, on a dreary Monday, and i'll give benefit of the doubt too, but the whole vibe from the doc was "why am I seeing this dude? Just why?" Thankfully, I don't need to go back and can just look into PT that fits my schedule.

I would not recommend this office based on our recent experience. My 87-year-old mother underwent a…read moretotal shoulder replacement, and we were very disappointed by the lack of planning and support for her post-surgical care. Prior to surgery, there was no guidance or coordination regarding rehabilitation or aftercare needs. After being discharged from North Passavant Hospital to a rehabilitation facility that was completely unsuitable, we contacted Dr. Jewell's clinical office for assistance. We were told that the only option was to take my mother to the ER and have her re-admitted to the hospital in hopes of being placed in a different facility. Since no other solutions were offered, our family ended up caring for her at home without professional support. We also received no assistance in arranging in-home care services. At her two-week follow-up appointment, she was informed that physical therapy should begin immediately. However, when she contacted the PT facility affiliated with the practice, she was told there were no openings for more than a month. Even more frustrating, the scheduler stated that PT appointments should have been arranged before surgery. Unfortunately, when my mother called before surgery to schedule PT, she was told that she needed to wait until after her follow-up appointment with the surgeon. Throughout this process, we felt there was a significant lack of communication, coordination, and preparation regarding post-operative care. While the surgery itself may have been the focus, there seemed to be very little concern for what would happen once the patient left the operating room. For elderly patients and their families, aftercare planning is just as important as the surgery itself, and that was sadly missing from our experience.

UPMC Center for Sports Medicine - Nice facility for the sports teams.

Granted, Dr. Freddie Fu is the Big Cheese, but my doctor is accomplished and highly regarded as well. He is thorough, knowledgeable, doesn't rush, is current on his specialty, and has a great rapport with me and his staff, and is almost always on time. I'm just not going to tell you his name. I've had another 2 of his colleagues treat me when he was off, and have had excellent care by them as well. Still, not naming names. They have physical therapy here as well. I've been a client, there, too. They also, are excellent. Probably why nearly every time I go to this building, I see a famous sports figure ( and yes, they all are cool, down to earth people).

She just had surgery #6 including one ankle replacement because of Habib's disgraceful work. He lied to her for months not sharing that he broke off her talus in surgery, lied for months upon months about the significant damage which led to a lifetime of pain and suffering. She is permanently disabled. Other surgeons were shocked at the atrocious level of skill and lack of care. He changed her life forever. She suffers every single day from severe pain and her entire body has suffered due to all of the ankle issues. He has never shared any remorse for his unethical practices. In court he was witnessed conversing with several jurors. He has no ethics. Please do reach out and we can share far more. Our surgeon now is internationally renown (Dr. Lew Schon) but he can't change the damage that habib did. We would give ANYTHING to go back and not have Habib touch her ankle. LIFECHANGING. DO NOT LET HIM TOUCH YOUR BODY.
