Excellent! Had cataract surgery on both eyes with excellent results. Dr. Thomson was my surgeon. Also, love the girls, all RN's, at the Surgery Center Brimhall uses. Called to see if my son can be seen he suffered an injury to his eye and is in a lot of pain. When I called I waited on hold for 5 minutes only to be sent to a voicemail. I received a call back from a woman who immediately asked for insurance information. I replied by asking well do you guys have availability today. She said yeas around 3:05. I said ok let me grab his Insurance card. (My son is 21 but he was unable to call at the moment.. and I wasn't sure what insurance he has as he just got his own coverage) And I was hung up on. I heard a sigh.. and then I was hing up on. I cant speak to the doctor's care.. but it says something when an employee is allowed to behave that way and not be afraid of repercussions. She did not call back.. and say sorry we were disconnected.. so I was clearly hung up on. Healthcare employees should not be allowed to act this way. It's as if they know you need them pertaining to your health. And get off on the power they have over you. It sickening... the moral is just not prevalent in healthcare anymore. Even though we have the most expensive healthcare in the world in this country. The healthcare is the worse. It's sad, but true. Review Update: I was hung up on and no one called me back until after I wrote the review. The reply below is another example of the ruddiness I experienced. They have a different account? As if I came on here to make up a story and lie about my experience? Why.. why would I do that? Make it up for what? Its been a while but I am going to check my call record to see if I can screen shot the time I called them (which I believe was around 10:am, maybe earlier) and when they called me back (I remember it was around 2pm.. and they offered me a 3:10 or 3:15 appointment) which was after I wrote the review. I remember because I was like thats in a hour really.. Goodness I have not even visited this office and have been hung up on, and called a liar. Don't treat people this way if you don't want reviews like this. It's simple.. lying about what happened is a really bad look. If you were told this by your receptionist, she lied to you. I went to Dr. Brimhall for cataract surgery and spent nearly $6000 out of my pocket for ONE EYE only. It was the worse experience ever!! I had symptoms right away and Dr. Brimhall deferred me to his associate who released me with the same symptoms I had and told me to make an appointment in 3 months. Another doctor told me that my surgery was a failure and the lens is not the correct one, my poor vision in that eye proves it. Dr Brimhall claims that he is the pioneer of not using pre-surgical steroid drops when his associate prescribed them after the surgery due to my symptoms which most likely is part of the reason I have pain in my eye and my vision is poor!! Also he performed the surgery with me having high blood pressure which could have been fatal ( I was sedated but could still hear the nurse telling him: his blood pressure is too high!! ). You will be overcharged, have below average results, and mistreated by staff especially Brenda in scheduling department that will be disrespectful to you telling you there are no available appointments to see him after the surgery and his associate is your only choice!! read more

With the onset of Cranial 3rd Nerve Palsy on Jan 11, 2022 my left eyelid has been closed and finally starting to open a few weeks. Got an emergency appt with Dr. Thomson this morning and follow-up indicates that everything is recovering slowly but nothing to worry about. Yes, back on Jan 13th visit, Dr. Thomson had been go to ER since I had severe case of double vision and probably needed MRIs to confirm some type of Cranial Nerve Palsy via a neurologist. He was right and feeling in good hands with Dr. Thomson and staff. Good thing is now I have my wife driving me around since Jan 11th and took myself off the auto insurance policy. Really enjoyed my experience with Dr Brimhall and his team. I had no idea what to expect with Lasik, and I was very nervous about the whole thing. They were patient with me. To anyone nervous like me, the procedure is painless, the Valium they give you beforehand will totally calm your nerves. You're in the chair for probably 6 minutes tops, and they had music playing, were talking me through and it was in no way as scary as I imagined. Don't watch videos on the procedure before you have it done because it makes it scarier. In reality you will likely be shocked at how easy it was and by your vision following. My eyes are taking longer to heal than others but it's better and better each day! read more

Dr. Brimhall is a miracle worker. He changed my life when I received PRK (advanced surface ablation) a couple of years ago. I went from barely being able to read the big letters on the eye chart without glasses to being able to see better than 20/20 with no more glasses. As a pilot, my eyes are my most important piece of equipment and getting the surgery was like being given a brand new set of eyes. Totally worth the money and would recommend to anyone, even to those who don't need good long distance vision for their job. Truly a huge increase in quality of life for me, and I have Dr. Brimhall to thank for it. read more

I wanted to like this place. Staff was nice. Long story short, the office never told me I needed to get my eyes dilated or numbed for pressure for lasik consult nor that the appointment typically takes 2-2.5 hours for a consult. They advised me to arrive 30 minutes early to do paperwork, I arrived 35 minutes earlier. My appointment was at 10:15 and I arrived at 9:40 to fill out paperwork, handed it to front desk by 10:00. 10:30 rolls around and I'm still not called back. Not a great start. 10:33 I'm called back to an exam. The person helping me was kind and all was forgiven. That's where things keep going wrong. After taking a look at my eyes, she then says "ok we are going to dilate your eyes." What!!! I quickly and abruptly said, no that's not ok. I was never advised of this, I have to go pick up my kid right after this. She responds "ok well we are going to numb your eye for pressure" once again I ask her why I wasn't advised of this. I then give them an opportunity to reschedule me for the lack of communication (I don't want to drive with numb eyes or dilated eyes) and she responds well we can still have you see doctor and schedule another time for dilating eyes and pressure. I ask how long it will be and she says well there's one person in front of you, maybe 15 minutes. It's 10:50 and I'm waiting in the waiting area again. Get taken to a room at 11:10 and I left the office at 11:25 unseen. My daughter gets out of preschool at 11:30 and I had to Postmates my sons lunch to school. When I told the lady checking me out she said "yeah typically the first appointment takes about 2-2.5 hours." DONT YOU THINK THIS SHOULD BE TOLD TO PATIENTS PRIOR TO THE APPOINTMENT?! I'm debating if I'm coming back or not. read more

I have been going to Brinmhall for several years now. For most of that time it was great until one day the older lady at the front desk didnt agree with some things and treated me bad and when I said something,, the demeanor toward me changhed.. Well,, I went again , gonna bite the bullet abd I was very surprised . The lady was no longer at the front desk, The new lady was the most polite and kind words. I couldnt beleive it but am happy they changed the front dest to the new last. Didnt get her name . Long hair one length.. She was so nice and welcoming to me and everyone.
