    Dinner Menu 03/10/2026

2 floor restaurant, street parking, limited dinner choices, could use some soft music or turn up the tv, otherwise you listen to yourself breathing lol. One server who is also the bartender, very polite. It was a Tuesday and the server said its their slow day. Served us some warm bread and butter before our dinner came out. The salmon was cooked perfectly. Both chicken dishes were satisfying.

We came in on a Saturday at noon. We were the only ones in the restaurant. Seated immediately and server took our order a few minutes later. The restaurant is cozy and very small downstairs. There is seating upstairs that I didn't see. The lunch menu is small. I ordered the bleu burger which was amazing. My husband ordered the Philly cheese steak. It was good although could've used more cheese. They do not have a fryer at this restaurant so there were no chips or fries. We were given roasted potatoes, however, they upcharged $2. They were good. They seem to have a problem with Google reservation system. The server had mentioned that they don't like it because the customers cannot put in special seating request for dining. So if you make a reservation and need accessible seating you can only sit by the bar. The server got a phone call from someone asking for a reservation time and she seemed annoyed because they were using the Google system. It was ok. Would I bounce to go back? No.... possibly if I were in the area.

We had high hopes when we made our reservation, as recommended on the website. Kathy greeted us and sat us promptly. She is all things - bartender, wait staff & busser- and took good care of us. She gets a lot of steps every day going up and down the stairs! They have a good bar, lots of beer and wine, but only 2 brands of vodka - two I'd never heard of - but Kathy made a good Cosmo (although served in a champagne glass and other patrons had martini glasses). Kathy never asked if we'd like another drink, so we didn't order any more. We ordered crab cakes as a starter. The remoulade was awesome, nice kick to it, but we did not get any app plates. We used our bread plates and then when the hot, fresh bread was served with dinner (good plan so you don't fill up on bread) the only place to put it was on the bread plate which had crab cake remnants. Meh... My chicken French was delicious and served over grilled zucchini. Hubby had the grilled scallops (very good) served with risotto which he described as "pasty." We let Kathy know it was pasty and her reply was, "Well, that's how it is." Oh my... It was a warm summer evening and we're glad we did not sit upstairs (even though the kitchen is up there). It might be very cozy up there in the winter. Desserts are house made but we did not have room tonight. We'd give it another try, but no rush back.

One of the better restaurants in Ithaca!…read more I enjoyed the coursing- they did a very good job with timing. Service in general was very good. I also like the flowers on the dishes. I came with a friend and we tried the pear appetizer, mussels, leek and gruyere tart, and the ricotta gnocchi. Honestly, everything was really good. The gnocchi was pillowy and the tart did not have a soggy bottom. For dessert we tried the Pear frangipane which was also good. Quite a strong almond flavor and a little on the sweet side. Overall very good, I would recommend!

Came with butter and that butter slaps. Nothing revolutionary, but solid. 4/5. * Beef Tartare ($14) Raw beef, but make it fancy. Slightly salty for my taste, but paired beautifully with the bread. Never had beef tartare before, so I have no reference point. This could be the best tartare in existence, or I just have peasant palate. Either way, I'll give it a 4/5. * Kohlrabi & Pear ($8) First time having kohlrabi, and I was not expecting it to be so crisp and apple-adjacent. The pear added some nice sweetness, and the goat cheese + garlic combo made it feel elevated. I respect it, but I wouldn't crave it. 3/5, purely based on my personal taste. * Steak Frites ($36) This is the dish. The aioli sauce for the fries? So good we asked for extra and then extra to-go like some sauce-hoarding gremlins. Steak was cooked medium-rare perfection -- just go with what the restaurant recommends. No notes. 5/5. * Mocha Walnut Torte ($8) Not a huge walnut or sweets person, but this was light and not overly rich. My friend could pinpoint the walnut in it... which is great for them. I mostly tasted "fancy cake." 3/5 for effort and subtlety. * Crème Caramel ($8) I am a fiend for crème brûlée. Had that satisfying sugar shell crack, wasn't too sweet, and left me wishing I had another one waiting at home. 5/5.

It's a cool spot- restaurant on the ground floor, and upstairs they sell different things made locally, and also clothes. It was fun to walk around while the food was being made. Our server was Kara, and she was awesome! My nephew has a peanut allergy so she was checking in on the entire order and sides to be sure we were in the clear! She was so helpful and friendly, even when there was an issue it wasn't a giant deal. My nephew and I started out by looking at the protein shake menu. I chose the green goddess protein shake, and he went with the cocoa Berry. Let me just say that mine was so good I finished it quickly. Nephew ordered the garlic sweet chili hummus appetizer to start. It came with freshly cut pita quarters, carrots, and strips of yellow and red peppers. Fresh, crunchy, hummus was absolutely addictively delicious and more than enough to share! He then got the pesto panini, my older brother ended up landing on the Italian panini (they sold out of the corned beef). He also got the soup special, stuffed cabbage soup and that looked really delicious and piping hot. Lots of cabbage and meat along with the broth. I had FOMO for sure. One panini came with a side salad, the other chose the tomato, onion, and cucumber salad that came with balsamic. So tasty I tried it later bc we took it to go, and I ate it all! Really great atmosphere and concept. On our way out we had a conversation with the manager/owner, and it was really pleasant. The weather was awful, but our stop here was a bright beacon and a memorable stop. Support small owned businesses!

After grabbing a drink at aurora brewing, we made our way to Richardson Canal house, a place we had never heard of until today. First of all this is a popular haunt for the locals! It is a fun destination for a nice night out and a fairly pricey dinner (50-100 per person is fair) but very good food! Not pictured is a dozen NE oysters which were delicious, as well as house bread which was freshly baked and very moist :) We also had the Moroccan meatballs, which were succulents and well portioned for an appetizer For our entrees we opted for the medium rare tritip 7 ounce steak which was succulent and paired well with the mashed potato! I personally enjoyed the shrimp scampi - the pasta was al dente and the sauce was well seasoned without being salty. I added a bit of chili pepper for a bit of a kick Overall, we did enjoy our dinner at RCH, and would definitely recommend it to people who are visiting bushnell basin! I gave 4 stars because the food was not out of this world per se and you could get similar food at places like good luck or nosh.

We had called ahead for a reservation and the hostess wasn't very pleasant on the phone about a table outside but once we said we'd be happy to eat inside her tone became a bit more helpful. Afterwards we took our wine outside, borrowed some chairs and sat ourselves by the canal in the shade where we watched the boats and Canadian geese swim by. It was a heavenly way to finish a great meal. Highly recommend!
