Delicious food! Wonderful service! Such a nice ambiance. Quickly became one of our favorite spots.

I ate there with some friends last week. It wasn't my first visit but most of the group was visiting for the first time. The food was outstanding as was the service. We selected the Brimont Bistro to cater our daughter's wedding reception about four years ago. We went back in July of 2025 for dinner just to say hi and enjoy another great meal. The food and service they provided for the wedding were fantastic. Chef Gregg consulted with us numerous times before the event to help with planning the custom menu. We chose pork loin, the Rochester area favorite "chicken French" and Penne a la Vodka, among other complementary items. They delivered everything in stainless steel serving dishes and set it all up to make sure it was hot and tasty. For our recent dinner, we ate outside in the back patio, because we were traveling (from Florida) with our dog. I really liked the relaxing environment outside. The menu has a nice broad selection from casual fare to fine dining. The restaurant itself is in a vintage 2-story house on Main Street in downtown Webster, NY. We enjoyed walking around the area after dinner and even found a free outdoor concert happening in a local park. It was good to go back and see the chef again and enjoy another great dinner. read more

2 floor restaurant, street parking, limited dinner choices, could use some soft music or turn up the tv, otherwise you listen to yourself breathing lol. One server who is also the bartender, very polite. It was a Tuesday and the server said its their slow day. Served us some warm bread and butter before our dinner came out. We came in on a Saturday at noon. We were the only ones in the restaurant. Seated immediately and server took our order a few minutes later. The restaurant is cozy and very small downstairs. There is seating upstairs that I didn't see. The lunch menu is small. I ordered the bleu burger which was amazing. My husband ordered the Philly cheese steak. It was good although could've used more cheese. They do not have a fryer at this restaurant so there were no chips or fries. We were given roasted potatoes, however, they upcharged $2. They were good. They seem to have a problem with Google reservation system. The server had mentioned that they don't like it because the customers cannot put in special seating request for dining. So if you make a reservation and need accessible seating you can only sit by the bar. The server got a phone call from someone asking for a reservation time and she seemed annoyed because they were using the Google system. It was ok. Would I bounce to go back? No.... possibly if I were in the area. read more

We had high hopes when we made our reservation, as recommended on the website. Kathy greeted us and sat us promptly. She is all things - bartender, wait staff & busser- and took good care of us. She gets a lot of steps every day going up and down the stairs! They have a good bar, lots of beer and wine, but only 2 brands of vodka - two I'd never heard of - but Kathy made a good Cosmo (although served in a champagne glass and other patrons had martini glasses). Kathy never asked if we'd like another drink, so we didn't order any more. We ordered crab cakes as a starter. The remoulade was awesome, nice kick to it, but we did not get any app plates. We used our bread plates and then when the hot, fresh bread was served with dinner (good plan so you don't fill up on bread) the only place to put it was on the bread plate which had crab cake remnants. Meh... My chicken French was delicious and served over grilled zucchini. Hubby had the grilled scallops (very good) served with risotto which he described as "pasty." We let Kathy know it was pasty and her reply was, "Well, that's how it is." Oh my... It was a warm summer evening and we're glad we did not sit upstairs (even though the kitchen is up there). It might be very cozy up there in the winter. Desserts are house made but we did not have room tonight. We'd give it another try, but no rush back. read more

We were really looking forward to a nice dinner at Brimont. We asked to be seated outside and the server said she'd check. She came back and advised we could not be seated as they had some big parties coming in. I said okay, we'll just sit at the bar and was told that we couldn't unless we wanted to come back in an hour. Now - It seems odd that with so many empty tables, she thought we'd be seated in an hour if they had so many coming in to dine. There were 2 other couples sitting at the bar and at least 6 or 8 empty stools so it just didn't make sense to me. I will not go back after being treated so poorly. read more

First time visit....I ordered a Reuben. It was underwhelming. Thinly sliced deli meat on rye that was barely toasted. Obviously not what would be expected from any kind of house made ingredients....maybe step up from a heated up gas station Reuben. The mac salad was definitely house made and very delicious on a positive note. There was one server/bartender that was trying very hard to keep the entire restaurant going but an obvious lack of staff. I also ordered a dirty martini. They have a very minimal bar selection so I settled for a Bombay dry gin because they didn't have Sapphire. It was less than satisfying and they charged 14$ which is top shelf price for Bombay's cheapest knock off. Overall, no reason to come back. read more

So glad we checked out this little Bistro for our bi-weekl get together. The space is unimposing but the food flavors are huge. All three of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The chicken French came highly recommended and two of us tried it out. Excellent recommendation. The third member of our party chose a burger and couldn't finish it. it was huge and apparently exceptionally delicious. the staff was friendly and efficient without hovering Overall, a great find. Who knew that in the cozy little village of Webster there was a hidden, gourmet, NYC-worthy, culinary experience! This place is wonderful and I almost hope it stays so surreptitiously under the radar. It's a welcome breath of home town charm and elegance. Its tiny, which adds to the cozy nature. It's decor is simple, which really lets the food shine. When you first walk in you're overwhelmed with the most wonderful smells, as if you've stepped into Grandma's kitchen. That is, if grandma is a Michelin Star French Chef. Garlic, yeast, butter, rosemary. It's a beautiful medley of aromas! Most of my group couldn't resist trying the renowned Scallop dish, and it did not disappoint. The most perfectly cooked scallops are served over a delish creamy corn sauce and surround a bed of one of the best risottos I've ever tasted. Others tried the salmon, the beef bourguignon, and the sherry chicken. Everyone raved about their dishes. The service was also top notch! read more

I absolutely love this place! The food is AMAZING and the atmosphere is very cozy. The owner is so kind and great to talk to. I urge anyone who hasn't been here yet to go! Brimont Bistro doesn't quite know what it wants to be. A tiny "bistro" nestled in the village of Webster, Brimont serves what I can best describe as 90's era fancy restaurant fare: crab cakes, scallops, chicken french, some classic cocktails. Nothing earth shattering, but some catering classics; which makes sense because the owner also runs a catering business on the side. We started with some sangria, which was like the Long Island ice tea of sangrias: punchy and deceptively strong! The chef told us after we started sipping that it had been curing since March (we were there in June). Oh well-- still yummy. My partner and I shared the crab cake appetizer (good), and he had the chicken French for dinner while I went with the monkfish in cream sauce special. The chef, who was talking to us at the bar when we first arrived, called this "poor mans lobster," and it was quite toothsome. While the food was good (4 out of 5 stars) the bizarre ambiance left something to be desired. We were surrounded by disgruntled, middle aged kitchen and wait staff, who couldn't help but make their off-color opinions known to us throughout our meal. They did not seem to actually *want* any customers to eat there. The bar area in the downstairs was akin to a home basement bar setup. It was very strange. We left feeling satisfied, but agreed that we would probably never choose to eat here again. read more

We went in on a Tuesday night hoping to sit out on the patio. No such luck, a private party had it reserved. It worked out ok though because we had a seat at the bar and were chatted up by the bartender who I assume is also the owner. Interesting guy with some entertaining stories to tell. The place is pretty small but cozy. Our waitress was brand new so a little awkward with her service but very friendly. I'm sure she'll get more efficient with practice. We had some drinks including the sangria which we were told was house made. It was good and could be quite dangerous if you're not careful. We also tried the crab cake appetizer. They were delicious. My husband had the steak and I had the scallops; both cooked perfectly and tasted fabulous. We ended the night with the flourless chocolate cake and the Berry Financier. They were both very good. We left satisfied and will definitely be returning. Great little restaurant in the village of Webster. Hopefully next time the patio will be available. On the pricey side but worth every penny. read more

Gosh, I am going to have a difficult time reviewing this place. It is a decent concept for Webster - nice patio area and what appeared to be an interesting selection of wines, but like another reviewer noted a couple of days ago, we also felt like the wait staff would have preferred not to serve us. We were greeted with a question about whether we had a reservation. I asked whether one was needed, only to be told that " We prefer you make one," yet the place was largely empty at 5 PM on a Wednesday. The waitress had no clue on the wine and got the owner who seemed knowledgeable, but likewise failed to clarify the wines on the list, which mysteriously (they noted this) did not follow the normal order of sweet to dry. After a few mis-steps, we got a decent wine. Salad was good. Crab cakes had more breading than crab, and I would not have identified them as crab cakes had I been blindfolded. They were also oddly spiced. My meatloaf (Wednesday and Thursday) was fairly good, if on the colder side. The meat and potatoes were decent portions, but 2 anemic slices of squash were a disappointment for someone who likes vegetables. My wife ordered the chocolate cake for dessert (excellent). I might have ordered a dessert for myself, but the waitress didn't ask me if I wanted one and took off after my wife ordered. Good to have port wine on the menu, so we ordered that when she returned with the cake. No special acknowledgement when we left. This place has potential, but needs to make a few changes in the delivery and make people want to return. I wish them well, but even though we live in town, we are unlikely to return soon. read more

We had brimont cater our wedding and Greg was a dream to work with. He made suggestions without trying to up-sell us and gave us guidance on what type of beef would best fit our occasion. We had TONS of food and TONS of leftovers. Everything was superb from start to finish. The beef tenderloin is perfection and the roasted potatoes with grilled vegetables were the perfect additions to our meal. You will not be disappointed here! We also ate at the restaurant a few times before we decided to cater. The strip steak is phenomenal. The courtyard is a nice place to sit and have drinks as well. read more

I really liked this restaurant and I will return, if for nothing else, the SUPERB food. The presentation was excellent. The chef must be well taught. The service was good. My only gripe was the atmosphere. Lose the blinking neon "open" sign in the second story window. If I want cheesy, I will go to the mac n cheese food truck. Dim the lights, replace the drop ceiling with a copper or even an exposed-beam ceiling, replace the light oak tables with more rustic tables or even table-clothed booths, and play soft/charming French background music. Warm the place up with these suggestions and you quite possibly have the best restaurant in the Rochester area. I don't mean to sound too critical. It is a very nice restaurant with EXCELLENT FOOD! I just thought it lacked the charm you would get at an authentic France bistro. Oh. And please don't clean tables with a Windex spray bottle when near other occupied tables. The scent is very annoying and I am sure the mist is not good for the food. Do it the old fashion way. read more

Had dinner there 7/31. The place was desolate and the per the bartender, the bar area was closed and we could NOT even get a drink and exit to the patio. After having an average dinner, we exited noting a cliquey group of 4-5 comfortably seated relaxing at the bar. It appears the bar is closed to "valued customers", but not to the regulars of BB. We shall never return, and advise others to spend their hard earned money at another Webster eatery. PS - BB has a great patio, but the owner could not be bothered to clean it up and make it presentable. Shame! read more

The dessert we ordered hit the spot. We'll be returning to try appetizers and entrees but will always be ordering desert as well.
