One standout piece was the shiny, tango dancers' sculpture that instantly reminded me of the famous Bean at Millennium Park in Chicago. I couldn't stop admiring my reflection in it, which made for a really fun and playful experience. We stepped inside the Wave Hotel. The interior is uniquely and beautifully decorated. I felt like walking through a modern art museum. The garden sits under Orlando International airport flight path, so we heard planes passing overhead occasionally. It's just a minor distraction. Most fun activities in Orlando cost money, this sculpture garden is a refreshing exception. We were there in the early morning before weather turned hot. I can only imagine how spectacular it will look once the light projections are up after dark.

This park includes a visitor's center, multiple hiking trails, and a cute garden area with a gopher tortoise and salcutta tortoise living their best lives. Make sure to check out the Osprey Overlook as there is a boardwalk that overlooks a large lake with plenty of opportunity to see wildlife including otters, gators, and turtles. Honestly, I feel like this is the one park in Orlando where you can actually go hiking. All of the trails here are on mossy/swampy forest floor with no paved walkways. This is good to keep in mind if you are trying to rollerblade or bike ride as there are multiple tree roots on the trails, so probably best to leave these items at home and witch to trail shoes. This also means that some of the trails may be washed out when you visit, especially if going in the summer months. Actually, I would recommend skipping a visit if it has rained less than 24 hours before going as you will not be able to see as much as you would like. Overall, there is easy parking, great hiking, and excellent photo opportunities. Worth a trip if you are in the Orlando area!

Designed by The Walt Disney Company in the 1990s, the park serves as Celebration's main recreational hub. Amenities include a swimming pool, tennis and basketball courts, and playgrounds. Many of these facilities require a resident key and are reserved for Celebration residents who pay community fees. Visitors, however, are welcome to enjoy the rocking chairs, picnic tables, umbrellas, and the scenic wooden boardwalk that circles the lake. Keep an eye out for the park's resident alligator, which is occasionally spotted along the shoreline. Just steps away, you'll find downtown Celebration's charming shops and a variety of restaurants. The park also hosts numerous festivals and community events throughout the year, including Independence Day celebrations, Founders Day, the Embrace of Celebration Music Festival, Battle of the Food Trucks, Once Upon a Magic Market, the Celebration Farmers Market, holiday parades, and seasonal runs. It also serves as the starting point for town-wide 5K races and the staging area for the community's Veterans Day Parade. During my visit, I enjoyed strolling along the lakeside boardwalk and taking in the peaceful scenery. Unfortunately, the lawn had been recently fertilized with what smelled like horse manure, and the odor was overwhelming. The strong smell made it impossible to linger and I cut my visit short, which was disappointing given the park's otherwise beautiful setting.

The ground did have some active red ants and there is a sign that warns you to lock your vehicles.

A much bigger…read morestate park than I thought, they have picnic areas, trails, camping, and a few playgrounds. lot of green space. There are plenty of campsites and all have an electric hook up and water at your site. Since 1- 20ish are more open and then when you get further into the campground, it's much more wooded. The campsites are still relatively close to each other, but it's a little more private the further back you go. The wildlife run the park! raccoons come out at night and there's plenty of deer that hang around as well. There are signs everywhere that says do not feel the wildlife so just be cautious of what you leave outside your campsite because you might have nightly visitors. The bathrooms are great, they clean them quite often!

The Lake Conine Nature Park officially opened on May 13, 2025. Winter Haven had previously purchased the 32-acre property in 2010 with the mission of restoring the wetlands to benefit Lake Conine and the surrounding communities. The park was created in partnership between the City of Winter Haven, Polk County, State of Florida, and the Southwest Florida Water Management District. The wetlands were formed to act as stormwater treatment cells. Through natural processes, water is collected and contaminants are removed preventing nutrients and oxygen depleting compounds from passing into Lake Conine. An added benefit of the ponds is that they attract wildlife like alligators, turtles, and native birds. Lake Conine Nature Park was designed to support recreation, environmental learning, and community connection. The park has a mile-long trail loop along the perimeter of the park along with smaller interior loops. There is also a kayak launch, shaded picnic pavilion, fishing pier, restrooms, and playground. During my walk I spotted a tricolor heron and adorable marsh rabbits. The Lake Conine Nature Park offers the community a wonderful place for wildlife watching. exercising, paddling, playing, fishing, and relaxing.

I spotted a spoon bill, herons, and other birds in the water. I came as the sun was setting, so I had the best views, though I don't recommend staying until dark. There is also a route here in Pokémon Go, it spans the entire length of the loop, which is one mile. There are 2 bridges that cut across the water and a dock that overlooks a lake near the main facilities. There is a small pavilion with seating, a playground, and a restroom. There are also benches around the loop, enclosed trash bins, and a doggy station (though no trash bin at the station). I felt very safe here, as the trail is within view of the main road and houses, as well as other people on the path.
