Brisky's is the real deal. First off - it was packed at 1:50 in the afternoon. The staff was incredibly friendly and offered us a couple of samples prior to ordering. It's casual, but the brisket and turkey were as good as it gets. Turkey and pork are much easier to prepare, IMO, but brisket is a science and Frisky's gets an A+! On the turkey as well - and I don't even like turkey! We also had French fries (fresh and not from a bag), mac and cheese and baked beans. The latter two had a TINY kick, but delicious! Here's how I can prove you're a liar: how would I know that you were closed for renovations supposedly before they started as you claim if I'm from out of town and came on a day that you're always closed as you claim before they ever started? I couldn't. I would have had to be there during the renovations as I was. And I was told by a woman on your staff! Talk to your staff maybe before you get so nasty. ORIGINAL: Tried to go to this place on vacation. It was closed for renovations and only found out after pulling into the parking lot. What vacation destination closes for renovations during vacation season anyway? They did NOT update their google hours nor did they put it on their sign at the restaurant. While I tried to find an alternative place for lunch after having my plans ruined, several other cars showed up like myself to the restaurant to be told by someone that they were closed as no one knew. My family planned a trip to this location just to try this restaurant. (Over a 3 hour drive). They should have updated their hours or at least put it on their sign. Poor management. Never even apologized for the major inconvenience. 10.24.25 I wanted BBQ for dinner. After reviewing Yelp, I found Brisky's Family Style BBQ. Located just off N Ponce De Leon Blvd in Saint Augustine, Florida. I arrived right at 5:30pm. The parking lot was full. As I entered I can see 2 separate dining areas. Both are fairly full. There's a nice sign saying welcome to Brisky's BBQ. I placed a takeout order for 2 meat meal $21.21. pulled pork & Brisket. 2 Mac and Cheese. 1/2 corn on the cob & 2 pcs of Garlic Toast. Cashier offered Sweet BBQ Sauce in the side. ***Took 25 minutes but the food was hot so I knew it would stay that way till I got home. *I fixed our dinner plates. Mac & Cheese was creamy. The toast was delicious. The Brisket was tender. Neither of the 2 portions of BBQ had flavor at all. I seasoned mine with Sazon. Hubby added the Sweet BBQ sauce to his. It was a bit spicy. This is some of the best bbq in St. Augustine and Jacksonville for that matter. The brisket is very good and very consistent which is hard to do at some places. When traveling, it's always nice to try the local BBQ. Briskys does not disappoint. The brisket is moist and flavorful. Also, they have good side options including collard greens and sweet potato's. That's one true test of Southern style bbq. If the sides are weak and they only have beans and mac & cheese, it's probably not the best bbq. Here, the sides are solid. I also liked the staff. Super kind people and great service. Although it is a quick service place, they almost treated it like a sit down restaurant and brought the drinks out and cleared the tables. Overall: recommended. My husband loves American BBQ, so upon seeing the post of fellow Yelper James D., we immediately made a plan to visit them. The place is huge! You order at the counter and they will call your name to deliver the food to your table. We both ordered briskets and collard greens. The brisket was tasty although a tad dry. My husband also got their ribs and potato salad, and I had chicken plus green beans. We both agreed that all their sides tasted fresh and delicious! I also enjoyed my chicken, flavorful and juicy! If any restaurant has bread pudding, we are going to order it! And Brisky's version did not disappoint! It was a little sweeter than I usually like, but still incredibly tasty. Came here because I was in the area and really thought it was gonna be delicious brisket with a name like briskies. The store was clean and pretty large my favorite part about barbecue places is the smell of the inside. Freshly smoked meat smells so delicious. I think we messed up something with the seat in but a guy quickly explained how it all works and we were seated. I would definitely try something here again however brisket will not be one of those things. We were told brisket is their specialty and what they're most known for so I was really looking forward to some melted meat deliciously smoked brisket. What they served up was briskit just wasn't fabulous brisket. Not saying it was trash but it was definitely a good mid tear product. Some of these barbecue food trucks Have spoiled expectation of quality products from restaurants permanently. I go into the barbecue showdown competitions it's hard so please keep in mind that my view of good brisket is very skewed to that one memory of what was super delicious and mind-blowing. Don't expect briskeys to blow your mind also don't expect to be disappointed anyway. They're definitely way better than Charlie and Jake's which cost way more and Charlie and Jake's wasn't even a brisket cut. After reading the reviews there was no way I was leaving town without paying these guys a visit - We arrived just after opening and the restaurant was already filling up. It seems this is a very popular lunch spot for the locals, there were lots of contractor vehicles in the parking lot mixed in with people visiting the area like me. This is a beautiful restaurant staffed with some of the friendliest staff you'll ever meet working side by side with the owner ensuring you have the best experience possible. Being this is an order at the counter restaurant there are plenty of menus at the entrance and the daily specials are posted as well so there's no pressure to make a quick decision - all the food is served fresh, they only sell the meats cooked the day you visit no warmed over foods that were prepared the day before. We ordered two small bbq plates to share, one with St. Louis Ribs, fries and lima beans and one with the delicious moist brisket with fries and green beans, both served with Texas toast. If you've read other reviews you've heard about the brisket, it's definitely there signature meat and it is nothing less than amazing - smokey, great bark, super moist and melt in your mouth tender, the ribs I personally think are equally as good, there is no doubt there's a "pit master" onsite here. The sides were outstanding as well and we loved that the drinks are served in large take out cups so get your refills for the road before you go and I definitely recommend their ice tea. The staff here understands the meaning of "customer service" after you pay at the counter you can settle in and enjoy the delicious food they will bring it to you wherever you choose to sit and they will check up on you to ensure you are 100% happy and believe me you'll be happy with the quality of this very reasonable priced food - I don't recall getting a better value for lunch so before you make a bad decision and choose a fast food option you need to check these guys out - I'm thinking I'll be here again before leaving town... read more

Finally made it and it lived up to the hype. Arrived for an early dinner on a Saturday and we just beat the rush. Counter service was friendly and efficient. Our food arrived in a very reasonable time and everything was fresh and well executed. The ribs were tender but still had some bite - perfect and meaty. The fatty brisket I requested was also very good. I really like the fries and the collards were solid. Comments around the table about the chicken, corn nuggets, onion rings, and turkey were all very positive. No complaints whatsoever. Once all 11 of us started eating, the line at the counter stayed pretty steady. It wasn't out the door but the front of the house was hustling non-stop.
