A quick Google search revealed Dick's as having the best wings in the St Augustine area, so we made the short trip down US1 on one gray Tuesday morning. We got wings with two sauces - Georgia Girl and Sweet Thai Chili - and because it was $6 burger day we got one each too. Everything was excellent. The wings were crisp but not dry inside; the sauces were very flavorful. The burger was cooked medium, exactly as requested, and was an unexpected delight. It was early so it was fairly quiet, with a nice mix of music and some muted TV's. We sat at a bar, which I find gives you the best chance of good service, and our server was very attentive and polite. All in all, a near perfect experience. We will be back. read more

I was part of a lunch party today, our server Selena was terrible. She was rude, dismissive, I come here all the time outside of the lunch party I had today and have always felt like a family member and today she did not make me feel this way, she seemed like we were an inconvenience and a disruption to her day. Wonderful sports bar with lots of TV's and open space. It can get a bit noisy. Service was great. Alyssa was very sweet and explained everything to us for our first visit. We started off with the southwest egg rolls which were hot and delicious, and came with a sauce we snagged for later. Ordered some wings with the pirate sauce on the side and asked for extra crispy. A few could have been crisped up a bit more, but this is a problem I have anytime I order wings. I may need to tell the server to have them burn them like I do when I order bacon. Wings were tasty and the sauces were very good. We also had an order with the caribbean spice, enjoyed those as well. Love the ordering options for the sandwiches. Burger or chicken, you can ask for it several ways and with a large variety of toppings. My blackened chicken sandwich was juicy with a nice amount of spice, and the grilled jalapeno and blue cheese crumbles just perfected the flavors. We have been many times. It's a typical Dick's Wings. I wouldn't say we go for the high quality of food, but rather a decently priced food, friendly service, and a place where we feel comfortable bringing our four year old. We have always had great service. The waitresses are always so sweet with our daughter. We had family from out of town, and we were looking for something laid back to do the other night, so we decided to pop in for trivia. It was a fun time for sure! We found out you can reserve tables for trivia, so we will definitely do that next time. We were fortunate to get a high top in the bar area and was able to participate. We ordered appetizers and drinks throughout the night. We will definitely be back for trivia. read more

I love getting the boneless wings with sauce on the side-the breading comes out super crunchy and so tasty' honestly their breading is so good-you don't even need sauce! Hubby and I ran across an add for Dicks Wings and saw the flavors and wanted to try it. I immediately came to yelp and almost changed my mind based on the reviews. We're only in town for a week and where we live all you find is basic flavors for wings. Boring! We decided that we would try despite the negative stuff and boy do we have no regrets. We ended up getting the ten bone in. Hubby got FL Girl and the Gold something ones... the one with wine and garlic. He loved both but said the wine and garlic were under seasoned if anything. I got ten boneless in FLGA Lime and the southern charm. Both were spectacular. All wings were cooked to perfection and well sauced. We also tried the cheese curds and fried mushrooms. Both rocked. We got a side of the pirate sauce to dip in and both of us wished we'd gotten some wings in that too! Finger licking! My only knock down is they said I couldn't get a side salad anymore and I had to get a full salad. The lettuce was less than stellar and it had very minimal cheese and onions. Three tomato slices and a few croutons and thinly sliced cucumbers. The salad was HUGE but it was all lettuce. One small dressing didn't even cover 1/4 of it and my ask for extra dressing was ignored. We got this all to go and even with the 15 min ride back to the rental house at the beach all the food was hot and good. We would definitely try again on next trip and recommend to friends who travel in the area. read more

Your typical sports themed bar tucked at the end of a strip mall. We gave her a go @ 5ish on a Saturday early eve. Service was immediate, attentive, personable, and professional. We didn't have to ask for refills on beverages. Brianna was knowledgeable about the sauces and even brought out a small sampler of the hottest. From order to full delivery was less than 10 minutes. Kudos to the kitchen staff. Served hot and as we ordered it, no mistakes. We ordered Loaded Waffle Fries, Onion Rings, Blingz (boneless wings), and a French Dip. The waffle fries were like loaded nachos on steriods. Tons of melted cheese and covered with fresh, crispy bacon crumples. Quite tasty. The Onion Rings were piping hot and served with a side of Cajun Ranch sauce which was a perfect compliment to the onions. Very crisp coating and tender onions. Another tasty side. The beef was tender, coasted with melted cheeses, and slathered in fried onions on the French Dip. The au'jus was very fresh, with pieces of onion and not too salty. My other half added some Cajun Ranch to the sandwich. The bread was fresh. Another win. The Blingz were your typical breaded boneless wing. They sauced just right and not swimming like drowned chicken parts. The breading was crisp and the chicken tender. Served with choice of pre-packaged blue cheese or ranch dressing cup and a celery/carrot blend. The wing sauces are in-house made and are what makes Dick's stand out among other wing/sports joints. I ordered the Mango Habanero sauce with a kicker of Firestorm as I like hot sauces. I found the heat rather weak for a habanero based sauced. The Firestorm just added a high black peppery component. Our server, Brianna, upon hearing that I thought the sauce was weak, brought over a small sample cup of Dick's Secret Sauce. Now we have heat! The pepper level reminded me of a fresh Savina with ample peppery kicks. Very tasty. Sure to add hairs to anyone's buttocks! All-in-all, a decent sports bar with typical food offerings, and an excellent array of sauces. My only suggestion would be to make their blue cheese dressing. I have yet to come here and have bad anything. The flavors are wide (mild to spicy) more than I've ever seen anywhere else. The drinks are typical but not bad. I will say they need a larger place. It gets a little crowded when you have more than 10 families wanting to enjoy a dinner. Wait staff is good, now I have been there where they are running around with their heads cut off but typically good. If your looking for some good wings and fries and maybe a drink. They get one star because all I've had there was chicken wings. I placed a to go order for 30 wings 1 order of fries and a $4 tip. Came to $51 and change. When I got home 20 minutes later I found this was pathetic at best. I ordered both blue cheese and ranch. I got neither. The celery had seen better days. The chicken wing were split, 10 mild, 10 teriyaki and 10 lemon pepper. The mild was coated barely with butter I think. The teriyaki was thin and barely any on them. The lemon pepper were pepper no lemon. The wings overall were so tiny my toes have more meat on them. Very disappointed!! When I called the manager did try to offer me free wings, which I turned down. Dicks wings and grill should take wings out of their name. I would be embarrassed if that was my restaurant. read more

The waitress assisted by offering samples of the different sauces but instead I blindly tried her favorite, the "Redneck". Yum!!! I also tried the fried mushrooms which were good as well. This is such a RAVE!!!!!! We absolutely love Dicks Wings!!!!! Lunch menu is just great. Two people can eat for 18.00 and leave full. Salads are fresh. Burgers are big. Soups now made in house. Not sure why folks gave only one star, they must be extremely picky or maybe I just came on an extremely good day. I like saying extremely btw;) Our server was genuinely nice and quite accommodating despite our initial complaints. I believe her name was Megan; yeah she's a keeper:) There were about a million sauce choices and all the meals were reasonably priced for the most part. The only complaint I had in beginning was the portions on the chicken tenders and fries. I've been to other sports bars where $10 will get you a bit further in that department. Nevertheless, the portions on other dishes were adequate and the sauces were amazing. The drink specials from 3-7 are nothing to scoff at either. Ordered from there last night...called about 5:30 p.m. and ordered 30 wings for Monday night football party. Lady who took my order said it would be 25 minutes. Got there at 6:05 p.m. paid for the wings and told they would be right out. At 6:40 p.m. I got my wings! When I asked to speak to the manager about the delay she said they cooked my wings when I called at 5:30 and then promptly "dumped" them when I didn't show up at 5:55? Does that sound right to you? So what really happened is they lost my order, and only started cooking them when I arrived...and then lied to me about it. I was late for kick off...thanks for screwing me Dick's! We've patronized this wing place on and off for over 4 years now and each orders quality is always a crap shoot; you just can never predict what the quality of your meal will be. On average 8 out of 10 orders are extremely dissapointing. Today's meal was the last straw. We always ask for the wings to be well fried because if you say nothing you'll likely receive undercooked, slimy and rubbery wings which isn't healthy for anyone. Tonight we were extremely concerned about the outcome of our order because the details of the order needed to be reviewed with the person who took the order 3 times! My husband looked in the takeout box and sure enough the wings were undercooked. He asked to receive an order of wings that were well fried. They clearly placed the same wings already covered with seasoning sauce back into the oil which basically ended in very burnt seasoning sauce as depicted here (see pic) with the same old undercooked wings under the burnt surface. Clearly they know nothing about the basics of frying food. We've always requested well fried wings, not burnt seasoning sauce! We have spent enough money on their garbage. Maybe others that don't notice have had extra rounds of beer which makes everything more palatable but if you're sober stay far away. We've requested a refund and their response is pending. To anyone in the restaurant business who knows how to fry chicken please open a place in Saint Augustine cuz you'll make a killing cuz there's no competition..... PLEASE! read more
