This place is located inside Spur Line Supply Co. Tucked directly in the back right hand corner. You would never know that there's a doughnut shop inside of the store. There's no signs posted outside or really any advertisements anywhere indicating that there are doughnuts or coffee. I knew about the store being opened from some Instagram stories. Luckily for me it's walking distance from my apartment so it was definitely a must for us. The first time we went I got the maple bacon doughnut. It was really good, big doughnuts with a good amount of bacon pieces. I really liked how the flavors didn't over power each other. The sweet and salty was prefect. The second time we went I got the apple fritter with green chile glaze. It was definitely a filling doughnut, I didn't get to much of the green chile but what I like the most was the same apple pieces. They make all their doughnuts off site and have a good selection to choose from. They use Intelligentsia coffee from Chicago. You can order pour overs and my favorite their cold brew. Workers are super nice however the gluten free donuts were a million times better before they had their storefront. My mom and I used to go visit the stand they had in the store next to mama's minerals on days they had the gluten free donuts. They were absolutely the best donuts we had ever had! Ever since they opened their store front the recipe has changed and honestly I would rather buy frozen ones from Sprouts. Bristol Doughnuts has it all. Most importantly, the doughnuts are insanely good. I wouldn't necessarily consider myself a doughnut person normally, but Bristol is one of those places that has totally flipped me on the subject. The doughnuts are fluffy and creative and DELICIOUS. I personally tried the salted butter, mango pina colada, blueberry, and seasonal honey strawberry basil bombolini. I would really recommend trying any and all of them, but the bombolini probably stole my heart the most. I also found that I liked the doughnuts just as much a couple hours later as I did fresh from the bus - especially the cake ones (salted butter) had a nice icing "crust" to them that was so good that night. In addition to all this, the place is so dang cute. A double decker bus in Albuquerque?! Who woulda thought. You order on the bottom and sit on the top which allows you to take full advantage of this unique shop. It is true that they are busy and sell out of some flavors early, especially on weekends - some of the flavors I wanted to try were gone when I got there at 11am (rip cinnamon sugar dreams). That's what happens when you bake off site and have a fun location like this, so certainly not a complaint, but good to know when planning a visit that you should go early! The Register lady is so RUDE I have come multiple times to this location and have bought 2-4 donuts each time. She has short black hair a ton of piercings and tattoos. Upon requesting for a sample of the coffee her response "we don't do samples with major attitude and said it's always the same coffee." I asked how do u not do samples and she said I guess I can ask with a attitude. I could not take the rudeness so I left. They need someone kind who is a people person checking the customers out. I woke up today craving donuts, but decided I was sick of the usual Dunkin', Krispy, Donut Mart, and Rebel options that are all we have in ABQ. I Googled "donuts near me" and less than 5 minutes later I found myself in the Sawmill District searching for this unheard of establishment. It was tricky to find so I contacted the business and was advised that they are inside Spur Line Supply Co. I tried a handful of different donuts and they were all delicious. The quality is higher than anything else you'll find in ABQ and the coffee wasn't too shabby either. Wow! Seriously one of the coolest experiences I've had in awhile. Bristol Doughnut Co is located in Spur Line Supply Co which has a variety of nick nacks, trinkets, books, and succulents. It's eclectic and a great location for a donut/coffee shop. As far as the food, my husband and I shared a chocolate donut and a butter donut. Both of which were very good. I liked the butter donut the best; it's simple with a crunchy exterior and light and fluffy interior. I also had a latte which was good; not the best I e ever had, but You can't have donuts without coffee so.... But I really liked that hey use Rasband Milk, which is a local organic dairy. They have free WiFi and seating both inside and outdoors. For the ambience and donuts alone, I will definitely be back. read more

Homemade and Handmade donuts! These donuts were amazing. My husband had the cinnamon sugar and the chocolate sprinkled. He said the cinnamon sugar was the best he's ever had. I had the vanilla bean twist and the pumpkin spice. The pumpkin was really good. I've never had a vanilla bean twist before but this was honestly so good I want to come back. I have a serious love for donuts I have tried every donut place in town even eating some of the most stale Donuts possible. Bristol Donuts it's like a little piece of heaven on Earth. Their donuts are fresh baked full of amazing flavor. Their cinnamon sugar is my absolute go to. But their cinnamon rolls are incredible! Not only that the atmosphere is unique! I have to say this is normally one of my favorite places to stop off and get a specialty vegan gluten-free doughnut. It's one of my favorite donuts in town. For the last three visits that I come to the shop they have not had any of the gluten-free donuts available because they had not baked them yet. Their donuts are very good, I just will never order online again. We normally pay good tips for business' to do curbside delivery (if offered) after 25 mins waiting outside in the vehicle, after we had text "here" per their online notification, we had to go in, in pajamas. We ordered curbside p/u to avoid getting down in our pajamas since it was early in the morning. I know most business' are short staffed, and we try to be understanding of this. But why ask customers to use an online service, for a tip, and end-up telling the customer the order was forgotten, etc and that is why we waited and waited outside. It seems going in early, which is what we used to do, gets the best selection of products and customer service, than ordering online. I would have given them 5 stars otherwise. read more

I wish I had hated this place for two reasons. First, it is located near Old Town so its in an area I typically avoid for traffic reasons. Second, do I really need another amazing sweet to crave? Uh, no. However, this is easily the best donut I've ever had. I'm not even a huge fan of donuts normally! Are they breakfast? Are they dessert? It's odd. However, I loved this place. I got a classic chocolate and it was dense, delicious and so decadent. Alliteration for the win. Also you can walk around Spur Line which is trendy on a whole new level for Albuquerque. I have a lot to say about Bristol and it's ALL GOOD. First, the employees are so helpful, accommodating and kind. super great service every single time I go there or even call. Second, the donuts are delicious! The Bombolini is a brioche donut that somehow manages to be crispy on the edges and it's filled with this whipped filling that changes it's co-flavor (is that a thing? Idk.) each month. It's so big that you could feed a 5 person family with it, but you won't! You'll buy it and won't be able to share bc it's THAT GOOD! The shop is cozy and cute. Visiting ABQ and saw this place pop up on my yelp feed. Did not disappoint. Favorite was the prickly pear donut. Sweet and tart icing with a fluffy cake style dough. Delicious southwestern take on a donut. We got there too early on a Saturday for the shop to be open but they sell coffee and donuts in the lobby. HAVE AGAIN (DON'T ORDER ONLINE) - well, have for my first time: Vanilla Bean Twist, Bomboloni, Cinnamon Roll and Green Chile Cheddar Roll were ordered online in the morning and were all in-stock. I specified late afternoon pickup, expecting that when I sent in my online order, Bristol would box up my doughnuts and have them waiting for me. On my way from the East Mountains to pick up my already paid-for order, Bristol called me 1/2 mile from the shop to tell me they had failed to box up my order and only one doughnut was still available, but I could replace the missing three with other doughnuts! No offer of giving me the one doughnut free since I was already on my way or providing 8 doughnuts for the 4 I'd paid for. I had spent the previous day checking out various Albuquerque doughnut shops and selected Bristol as the one that appeared to have the best doughnuts in town. I'm only here for a week and this was my only chance for doughnuts and I ended up with none. Normally, I'd give them one star, but Sara was apologetic and said she would refund my purchase price. So, my message is "DON'T ORDER ONLINE!" If I have a chance to have a Bristol doughnut in the future, I will definitely TELEPHONE in my order. So disappointed to be doughnut-less. read more

The service is generally quick and pleasant. The establishment is clean. This review is for donuts only, I've not sampled any other product. I really like a good donut and am willing to give folks a couple of tries before I get negative. I've been to Bristol Doughnut four times, each time has been a weekday morning at around 9 am. Each time, the donuts are clearly overcooked and there is virtually no difference in taste regardless of the flavor selected. I thought maybe my taste buds were not identifying the flavor variations, so I ran a little test on two other people having them blindly taste more than one donut flavor .. their comments were that they really couldn't taste a difference because the donuts tasted overdone and the overcooked donut overwhelmed other flavoring attempts. The donuts are a bit heavy and hold in the cooking grease a little for than ideal. I really wanted to like this place because they are closest to my address but, sadly, I don't think I'll be trying them again. read more

Holy moly these donuts are huuuuuge! My husband got a dozen to go for work, and got an extra for me to enjoy immediately. The salted butter was the perfect amount of sweetness and was thicccccc. I love me a cake donut and these were no exception. Not to mention it kept me full until lunch time which does NOT normally happen. I also tried a nibble of the prickly pear and vanilla bean twist- they were cold since he brought them home at the end of the day, but I'm excited to warm them up and enjoy them for breakfast. Again, these are probably the biggest donuts I've had (aside from the Homer at Universal Studios!) but the size isn't for making up for quality.
