I went an hour before close but they still had a decent selection of donuts left. Tried the marshmallow pumpkin and vanilla bean. Both were good, although the pumpkin one was slightly dry. I loved the caramelized marshmallow which helped the dryness. The vanilla bean had real flecks of vanilla and the center had extra runny icing which was the best part. The open kitchen concept allows you to check out the cleanliness of the place which looked decent. I may be back to try their coffee drinks next time. A lot of their donut flavors seemed similar so I may try a different donut place next time. Girl at the counter was nice and friendly and it's advertised as woman owned. I took a star off for value because the two donuts with taxes were just under $10, which is pretty steep for some flour and sugar IMO. read more

I loved ordering ahead & not having to worry about the exact time I must show up to pick up buy donuts and coffee. Bristol Donut reserved my Ruby (vegan) donuts by packing them up in a cute recyclable container, then waited until I arrived to pour me coffee. Decided to check out a new donut place with the kids, since we had a nice leisurely Sunday morning to waste, and yelp led me to Bristol. Lotsa rave reviews, so I thought "this place will be outta sight!" Arrived at the correct address but thought there must be some mistake. Totally nondescript building that looked nothing like a donut shop and gave no indication of tasty treats anywhere nearby. I trepidatiously followed a couple random folks inside to this whacky retail experience (see review on Spur Line) and asked the cashier timidly "isn't there a donut place around here?" Turns out there was! It's a small-time outfit in the back, next to the door to a brilliant little courtyard and in front of the randomest collection of furniture-like sitable features. The donut case had all of 15 or so donuts - five flavors I think - and they and the coffee drinks were served up by what appeared to be a couple and their two or three cute little kids. They were nice as could be, and the donut quest ended up being a very interesting one, owing to the general surprise of the hipster vortex we encountered. As a business collective in general, it's certainly worthy of four stars. However, on donut expectations alone, I give it three. The donuts were good, but not outstandingly interesting and mouthgasmic, as other $2.50-a-pop "craft" donuts, and the selection fell way short of my American-donut-shop conditioning. If I end up at Spur Line again some time, I'll definitely get another Bristol donut. But I probably won't drive 20 minutes to get it again. read more

Cute place, recently opened. These donuts are in a class of their own. They're probably not for people who like sprinkles or themed donuts. These are serious treats that even a pastry snob could enjoy. There are just five flavors on display (so cute) and presumably the flavors rotate. I only had the Bristol salted butter -- an oversized, light and airy cake donut with a crisp exterior. Thick butter glaze/frosting on top was unlike anything I've had before -- buttery, sweet, and definitely had a salty kick. There's no signage yet and it's a little hard to find but there's tons of parking, friendly staff, and big tables where you can relax or do work while you snack. The coffee they serve is from Intelligentsia so that's just one more reason to like this place. If I lived here, I'd be a regular. I wish this spot the best of luck. When we walked it, the place was so inviting and I just liked the vibe. I ended up ordering a chocolate doughnut, and potato chip doughnut, and an iced coffee with oat milk. First found this place when they were originally off Central just a few blocks past UNM and WOW!! The design of the double decker bus was classy and modern and such a cute idea we just had to try their donuts. You can sit in the bus on the second level if you wanna sit and eat there, but we normally take ours to go. They have moved to Comanche and Morris and are working on opening their own store from in that little shopping center as well so I can't wait for that!! Their donuts are super light and fluffy and just melt in your mouth. We always do the classics of the chocolate donut and cinnamon sugar. I did try this months seasonal special of the pumpkin bombolini with cheesecake filling and that was super delish! It's a big boy though so be ware if you wanna get more than one donut haha! I'm obsesseddd. I was never a huge fan of donuts until I had Bristol, and now I can't stop eating them. The maple donut has been one of my faves (perfect pairing with a cortado!!) but since Bristol has kindled this crazy nonstop craving for more donuts, I'm on a mission to try every donut possible. Additional favorites include maple bacon, which is good for a sweet/savory/doughy/crispy combo, and the Vietnamese coffee has an amazing balance of flavors. I was super prepared to love this place. Beautiful interior, lots of staff were wiping and disinfecting tables/high touch surfaces, both of which I appreciated. There is no way I would have expected such low quality from the price I paid for four doughnuts. They didn't taste particularly fresh. The chocolate doughnut was fine, nothing to write home about. All the others were super disappointing. The green chile cheese roll had two tiny flecks of green chile in it (I tore it apart searching in vain for evidence), and I swear the prickly pear doughnut was completely and totally flavorless. I would compare these doughnuts to what you'd get at dunkin', no joke. The green chile cheese bagels you get at Smiths $2 for 6 are MUCH better. The vanilla bean twist had some flavor, but the glaze was extremely thin and was overpowered by their overly yeasty dough. I was really bummed. read more

These are hands-down the best doughnuts in town!! I especially loved the tiramisu filled one. The dough is exquisite; not to sweet and very airy. The presentation in a car window is clever. When you get your doughnuts, I recommend eating them outside. There's pretty pottery outside and it's a lovely, secluded area. So far, this place has been my favorite bougie donut place in Albuquerque so far. The donuts were all amazing and the lavender latte was so delightful it was gone within minutes. The green chili cheese roll was a great savory treat. It was great when I ate the other half a day later as well. Weekday breakfast was a mondo cinnamon roll $4 and a 12 oz coffee $2.75 of emergency sustenance. Cinnamon roll was a very generous portion. About as big as a Buick engine block. Seriously massive! Taste was good to excellent. It was strong on the cinnamon flavor and not hyper sweet, as often happens with glazed rolls. Texture was very sturdy & substantial. Drier than most other cinnamon rolls & pastries in general that I've had. The doughiness factor was very, very low. Approaching zero. This simply added to it's substantiality and made it a fitting sideman to the coffee. Only nit I'd pick on the roll, besides its price being a bit stiff (albeit probably justified by the size & quality), was that there were a few spots on the bottom of the bun where sugar had caramelized to a very brittle crispy crunch that was hard (in both senses of the term) to eat. These crunchy spots had stopped just short of being burnt, by the taste of them. So a narrow bullet dodge on that front. Coffee was extremely good to one who likes his caffeine strong on flavor and stiff in the caffeine department. This cup had extreme flavor, almost sensory overload. It consistently packed a powerful taste punch down to the bottom of the cup. It's caffeination level matched it's tastiness impact. Those 12 ounces jacked up my day well into the afternoon. A fine cuppa joe, if you like your morning brew strong enough to strip the chrome off a Harley at forty yards. Which I do. Double decker bus is a fun novelty for the Duke City to have around. Seating on upper deck, however, is unforgivingly hard (unupholstered) and the "table" 2x8 or 2x10 is a bit unsteady & wobbly, plus being just a bit too narrow to feel comfortable about not having your goodies topple off its skinny beam. The lady manning the first floor counter was gold!! Super friendly, welcoming, and cordial. Also very efficient in dispensing the java and breadification. Now that the Bristol Doughnut double decker has landed on the Eastside, any dietary considerations I may be contemplating are in mucho mucho danger. I ordered myself an Apple cider donut and my boyfriend a vanilla bean pastry of some sort. Paid 7 bucks for two pastries to go and home I went. I broke open my donut and alas, couldn't find any hint of apple. The outside was covered in cinnamon and sugar that if any apple existed it was sorely overpowered. I kept trying to find the soft cakey part to the donut but it was fried beyond that. My boyfriend enjoyed his, I'd describe its taste profile comparable to a glazed donut. Biggest, beefiest bang for the buck. Bakery style with a flare of artisanship. The size of these puppies make them a large tasty snack. The dense body of their doughs are fantastic for soaking up some coffee. Only downsides are one might not like this much density to their doughnuts all the time. We weren't quite expecting that, so when we pulled into the parking lot we thought we might be at the wrong place. And at almost $4.00 a donut? You can get close to half dozen for that price at most places. Point is I was very underwhelmed and had high hopes for this place.
