I recently had a negative experience. It was very expensive, and more than I normally pay. I budget for this expense. I get my hair done quarterly. This time I spent $190, which is more than I have spent in the past. Susan checked me out, I had to split the cost between 2 debit cards. I asked why it cost so much. She said the toner done was around $70. I wasn't aware that I was having a toner applied. I had my hair done on Tuesday night and called the salon on Wednesday to discuss my experience. I asked the receptionist to pull up the history on my account. I told her that I wanted to speak to Stacy, the owner. I was told neither Stacy, nor Kara, were working that day. The receptionist said that she would pass along the message to Stacy. She assured me that Stacy would call me back. Today is Saturday and I never heard from Stacy. I feel that my experience, or business, didn't matter to her. I thought she would call back to hear about my experience. I think it's important that businesses know the good and the bad.

What was supposed to be a light cleanup turned into a flat, lifeless mess with zero volume left. She destroyed the texture, ruined the shape, and took away all the life my hair had. It's an absolute disaster. A professional should know how to listen to a client and understand basic technique. Utterly disappointing and unacceptable. Despite this clear mutual understanding, the stylist disregarded the visual reference and cut off a significant amount of my hair, severely over-thinning the back layers and removing far more length than agreed upon. The final result did not resemble the reference picture and caused irreparable damage to my haircut, which will take months to grow out. ​When I contacted management at Gemini Salon & Spa to address this unacceptable result and request a refund for the poor service, they refused to offer a refund or resolve the issue satisfactorily. ​While I understand that hair services involve artistic discretion, failing to follow a clear visual agreement and causing severe physical damage to length and density constitutes a material failure to deliver the service agreed upon. Because the service provided was unacceptable and inconsistent with the pre-service consultation, I am requesting a full refund of $63.75

I went in saying I wasn't cutting my hair as I was growing it back out. After telling Chelsea what my daily (crappy :)) routine is she asked if we could cut it and I just said yes haha. I knew it was just for the better and we're only talking about a few inches, not a foot. I told her to do what she thought would look best for cut and color and she did. I was SO happy when I left. A few inches off, a little more dimension to my color, and an awesome interior. I ended up actually feeling so good I ASKED to buy products at the end. They sat in my car for three days while I debated returning them after paying that much for them. But I was so happy I kept them and decided to try to give my hair some love. Price was super reasonable, the stylist was great, the interior is awesome and everyone seemed friendly. I wasn't sure if I was going to make this my new salon home but once I walked out I knew I was "breaking up" with my old stylist (i just still have to tell him!)
