Upon arriving the sales man "Juan" Proceeded to tell me the car was actually a Demo after me asking why there was 409 miles already on the vehicle. This place is a joke! My friend was returning her car in which they told her to bring the car back as they didn't want to pay on the lease anymore. They called and asked if we needed to get an appointment to speak with someone and was told "nah you're fine, just come in and we will take care of of you" Got there at 5:30 and the salesman that my friend dealt with had left 10 minutes before we got there. The salesman said "we will have someone take care of you".......3 HOURS LATER!!!!!!...."oh we didn't forget about you" Ummmm felt that way. Got to speak with someone in Finance who thought we were buying the car, when they said they were giving up the lease. He then says "oh why didn't they say that, this would have been quicker" Then a heavyset salesman tells us we are all set and we can leave. Ummmmmm no....we have money coming back cause we turned in the car. Goes and disappears for another 15 minutes. "Yup we can give you $1000 for it" I asked for something in writing and he said "its all taken care of via Toyota". Flash forward and we get the $800 check. They tell us "oh they had to take a hit on it due to the miles (there was only 15,000 on the car). Go to another dealership, someone who will treat you better and someone. Not only the worst car dealership I've dealt with, but the worst business I've ever dealt with. They broke more things than they fixed on my truck, and their employee hit it while it was there - causing $4,000 in damage. They forced the employee to use his insurance and I can't get them to respond. Now I have no rear camera, no power mirrors and seats, no security system, etc. as they disconnected everything, and wrecked my truck. When I told Cory Ross, the Service Manager about all this, he said (and I quote) - "Tough! Sucks to be you!". Wow, I was floored. Stay far, far away from this place. I went to get a new vehicle. They did not have the vehicle i wanted. They told me I will the following week. I am not happy left a deposit and after a week and a day; no one followed up with me the status of the car. I called a week and 2 days later and was told that it fell through the cracks my transaction basically not worked on or couldn't get me the deal we agreed on. But nothing was done at that point. I am upset that no one followed up. And why take a deposit if you aren't gonna follow through. Biggest mistake they dropped the ball and giving me different excuses and stories. Long story short I got my refund. Feedback get your act together. Follow up with your clients; even though things aren't the way you wanted. Don't take deposit if you can't keep your end of the deal. Like any clients we have options to go somewhere else. I am an honest and hard working person and did not deserve this kind of service. You lost a good customer. Just stopped in day after I purchased (leased) a 2024 RAV 4 prime to get help with trouble shooting a problem with syncing the volume controls on the wheel and dash with WYFI apps and programing. Was getting an error message stating "volume control paused". All other audio functions worked fine. Jared from service was quickly solicited by the service secretary at the desk and worked it out with me after about 5 to 10 minutes. Everything now in order. Bad dealership. VERY BAD! Tried to sell me (2) shocks for $1,000.00. Failed to complete service work (how hard is it to inflate (4) tires all the same pressure? Did not need an oil change but they did it anyway. And this was AFTER the service writer and I agreed NOT to do this service at this time. Bought a used truck, sales guy was cocky,pushy and impatient. A week later a plastic shield was hanging under the truck. I brought it to the service department and they accused me of damaging the truck when I had only had it for a week and refused to replace the part. But they did zip tie it in place !!!! Wow !!!! $36,000 for a zip tie. They say they are different from other dealerships but they are the exact same. Service manager kept laughing everytime the Service rep kept going back to him after talking to me. Though they aren't technically responsible for the shield by law, I've only had the truck a week. They could have put a little more effort into the customer service than just a zip tie. Unreal... I also want to add that most likely the shield was no good before my purchase because I have only driven the truck on paved roads for a few days and not in any manner which would cause damage of this kind. The service manager brought me into the garage to look at the underneath of the truck. While it was on the lift and I started to look underneath the truck at other parts and he kept trying to distract me. So I wouldn't look at it and then ask me to come with him. For anyone looking to buy a Toyota Highlander I have had a 2021 for the past couple years. While driving on the highway my front bumper fell off luckily not injuring other drivers that had to get out of the way quick or myself. After they wouldn't cover an oil leak on my vehicle, they did an oil change since it was there (I usually do it myself). They lied on the service report saying, "customer states there is oil all over the engine." Really, I told them there was oil under the valve cover on the left side. Anyway, when I did my oil the next time, my plastic oil filter housing was put on so tight by them that it broke. I had to put the old oil back in and take it to Dartmouth Toyota. On Saturday afternoon I was adding oil to our 2019 Avalon and accidentally dropped the oil cap into the engine compartment. After searching for an hour, I took the oil cap from my son-in-law's Camry put it on my Avalon and drove to Bristol Toyota. Long story short, the Service Supervisor took my car right in and removed the panel under the engine compartment and found the oil cap. He gave it to me and told me there would be no charge. One dreadful car shopping experience followed by another has been my experience whenever I purchase a vehicle - FINALLY a hands down positive experience! Here's what I enjoyed: no forceful sale, polite rather than aggressive conversation, a relatively small company (in terms of location/size, not vehicle options), and having someone genuinely interested in providing you, the customer, with the greatest experience. Jess B. was my salesperson and there is just too much to compliment. I would highly suggest anyone to ask for him personally, you'll have someone interested in helping you rather than just taking your money. And he's not the type of person to get your commitment and then suddenly become harder and harder to get in touch with whenever you need anything. Amazing guy! In terms of finance, Eric V. took care of me and we had a great interaction. Another instance of someone trying to get you your vehicle without any hassle, tricks, or other common annoyances. Again, if you have the option, Eric is your guy! Overall, I had an amazing experience, and adding a few accessories took no time at all to install. I was told that I wouldn't need to worry about being over on mileage since I was going into another lease with Toyota. Fast forward 3 years (3 YEARS!) I get a call from collections that I owe Toyota $2600 for wear and tear & mileage on the car I turned in 3 years ago. Its one thing to tell me that i need to pay it up front before moving into the new lease - completely different to hide internal costs, and then hit the end consumer 3 years later by sending them to collections. Right before this unexpected bill, I just purchased my 4th new car from a Toyota dealership in Raynham and I'm let down that it may be my last. The only thing this Swansea dealership offered in order to right their wrong was to buy a new car and they would try to absorb the costs...I would highly recommend the Raynham dealership location over this one - I've turned in a lease the exact same way and wasn't taken advantage of like this. Replaced my Alternator for $845 that wasn't needed. The invoice stated it was putting out 13.8 amps. A Toyota alternator in good working order puts out 13.8 amps, like most vehicles. Stay away. Always get at least 2 estimates. read more

I went to test drive and buy, at the end of the year, a Highlander. The salesperson chatted with the sales desk for a good five minutes before going to get the car. He then walked around the lot for 14 minutes before coming in and saying that the car he thought he had -- this is after he checked with the sales desk -- was not there, and they didn't have any for a test drive. I said I'd come back the next week. He said, "c'mon inside." Inside, rather than go to the desk, he said "the way we usually do it is, if you give us a down payment of $500, we'll get a car for you." So, no test drive possible. Fortunately, there are other dealers in the area. read more

We were told by Bristol Toyota that in order for Bristol Toyota to get the title for the car we were getting rid of we would have to pay a fee upfront and we would be reimbursed the fee once Bristol Toyota received the title. Fast forward a year and I still have not been reimbursed after numerous phone calls. I have spoke to Keith Lincoln the general sales manager several times and just keep getting the run around from him. I had my Toyota 4Runner inspected by Bristol Toyota a couple of years ago. I bought the 4Runner from Showcase Auto, which was nearby. Bristol Toyota was either incompetent or was covering for the Showcase auto because of some relationship. Bristol Toyota missed tons of problems with the SUV. I even asked directly questions related to rust and whether the SUV had any interior smell. Bristol Toyota was completely wrong on what they represented to me. I will NEVER buy another Toyota from this dealership. I gave them a lot of the benefit of the doubt over the years, but here's some of their greatest hits. 1) Originally buying a car I had to deal with three different people because one of the salesmen were so pushy I got anxious and had to leave. 2) the service management team is a Joke. There's things for service that the mechanic working on your vehicle recommends, then there's things the service people want you to buy and upcharge you hours and hundreds of dollars unnecessarily. 3) It took 3 weeks for me to receive my title and owner information from them. I called several times every week and kept getting the run around. So long in fact I received a notice from RI DMV my license was going to be pulled because I hadn't finalized my registration/inspection. 4) They then charged me for the inspection and tried to again fear monger effect me into spending 700 dollars on unnecessary things, since it still passed inspection. (a month or so later I ended up being refunded for the inspection, but I still shouldn't ever have been charged). 5) Now, months later Toyota financial sends me a bill for another 300 saying, we paid your lease tax in RI and we want our money back. Absolutely insane. I tried reaching out to them but they pass the buck and say call Toyota financial. You know the hold time at Toyota Financial? 50 minutes. I will Never buy from them again. Update: Toyota has responded to my review and I find it kind of funny that rather than saying, hey sorry you had a bad experience let's get together and make it right (like a normal company does) they have tried to undermine my review by poking holes in it. Not that I would have heard them out at this point anyways, but I guess this was their attempt to try and save some face. So, here's a follow up that I don't even think you deserve bristol Toyota. If a vehicle does not pass inspection, then and only then are things "necessary" to be done. If something passes inspection, there's things that should be closely monitored, but they aren't, give us 700 dollars right now necessary. You know how I know that? Because if you passed a vehicle for inspection, and things were really that bad, the DMV would be all over your business for fraudulent approvals. You'd be liable for passing that car being out on the road. And that's not something you would approve unless you were sure it was fine. I had a follow up with a mechanic after the silly man tried to sell me 700 dollars for brakes, an engine filter and a rear wiper blade. My brakes did need to be done in another 4K miles (far from the dangerous nature I was told) and when it came time to do them my local mechanic charged me 400, and did the air filter for free because it was such a simple thing. As one final note, the only thing that could be commented on was my last complaint, everything before that was ignored and not addressed, lack of rebuttal is acknowledgment of fault and you've got plenty of fault Bristol Toyota. Don't go to a place where they treat customers like idiots, extort them for services that are not necessary, and try and fear monger them into giving them money. Test drove a car with a very friendly and helpful salesman. He was super low pressure and patient with all my questions. The car had previously been recalled so I told him I wanted to do some quick research first. Emailed the next morning to say I was still interested in the car and if they could make a small concession on the price. The salesman I dealt with had the day off (which he told me about ahead of time), but we agreed that either himself or someone else would be available if I wanted to move forward. My email was bumped over to the internet sales department who told me "the internet price is usually the best price" and that I'd have to come down to the site to negotiate. This is a nonsense response. A salesperson telling you they can't get you a quote is the alpha and the omega of the dumbest things you can hear from a car dealership. Over the following 4 hours I tried to get someone to contact me to put down a deposit and when they finally responded it was to tell me that the car was already sold. I get half a dozen emails and phone calls a day from dealerships breathing down my neck just for inquiring about a car in a webform, and I can't get one decent response back in 4 hours of actively trying to buy a car. I had a weird vibe from the beginning with this place. When I first showed up the salesman went to get one of the internet people to introduce herself to me only to introduce me back to the exact same salesman. If the internet sales people have no authority and no clue what's happening then why does the whole operation bottleneck with them? Just proof positive that if it's not one thing it's another. If it's not some predatory sales guy pulling a bait and switch than it's a bureaucratic mess with some desk jockey in over his head screwing up your sale. Update: If you look below, you'll see the owner defending his position that the car had been sold "early that morning" and not while the staff was ignoring my attempts to buy the car. If that's the case, which one is it? 1) That the car was already off the market when the dealership was providing me with the VIN number and asking me to drive an hour to the dealership to negotiate on a car that was already sold? 2) That the car wasn't off the market when they were trying to lure me back to the dealership, but they sold it while they were actively ignoring me? 3) That the car was off the market but they couldn't keep track of it and sent me a VIN number and an invite to drive an hour to negotiate on a car that was already sold? Citizens of Yelp... Do ANY of these scenarios sound like a business that has its act together or values your time? You want the book report on the place look no further than the fact that they snubbed a guaranteed sale for 4 hours but rolled out the owner to defend a bad review, and take a parting shot at me that they got someone to agree to the TWO PERCENT price difference I had the nerve to ask about. brought a 2019 Camry with 11k miles on it. brought an extended, bumper to bumper warranty along with a prepaid service contract for oil changes. made an appointment due to hearing water sloshing around behind the dashboard. turns out the A/C drain became clogged and the water backup ruined the jute/insulation/carpet on the passenger side. was informed that this is not a Mechanical Issue and therefore not covered by the bumper to bumper extended warranty. was quoted $3,474! to repair the damage due to the A/C drain clog not being a mechanical issue - regardless of the bumper to bumper warranty purchased on the day of sale. The service department did clean out the drain free of charge, no idea how or why if it's not actually mechanical? Filed a complaint with Toyota America and am awaiting resolution. Received a call from Joanne at Bristol Toyota this morning reaffirming their denial of warranty repair. Was again told in the message to speak with my car insurance about maybe they'll cover the costs even though this "Mechanical" defect isn't an insurance issu,e. Called my insurance company this past Saturday and was told by the adjuster that, since this is a mechanical issue it wouldn't be covered. I believe my insurance company is correct and Bristol Toyota's Bumper to Bumper Extended Warranty is an overpriced SCAM. Don't buy a warranty (or anything else for that matter) from this franchise as the paper it's written on isn't worth using in a sanitary facility. read more

Emailed him and he told me 5 months. He said he told me that from the beginning. Lie number 1. As it turns out I can't order what I want because of allocations. Lie number 2.
