We bought a car in early August and we didn't receive the registration or plates until 6 weeks later. My wife brought her car in for brakes. Today marks one week in which they have had the car but still it hasn't been done due to parts availability. Firestone would have had this done in a day or two tops but my wife insisted on Kia since she likes the service manager who is a very nice person. All was good until the check was given. Emails went unanswered when I asked questions, I had an issue with the radio they made an appointment only to tell me they didn't warranty that. I owned the car 7 days, why give me an appointment and make me wait hour and a half?? Had to go back to get my plates a couple of weeks later and my second key that they were holding hostage even though I owned the car. Third I went near home for an inspection, it failed for tinted windows, which are ILLEGAL I found out in RI. They wouldn't pay the place I was at to remove the tint. They instead wanted my car to fail and go back to them and then back to get the sticker. I was told management would call me while I was at the dealership. No call, just ghosted. Ugh. Don't use this dealership. Service started out pretty great until I signed and got the car. After that, chasing them down for payment information (never received paperwork from kia finance) was next to impossible, all the while they assured me that everything was taken care of and there were no problems. Deposit check was in their hands for close to 2 weeks before they could get the permanent plates ready, and we didn't even get a phone call about it when they were ready. We were told we were all done paying fees and !surprise! there was another fee. At worst, extremely shady business practice. At best, sloppy and unprofessional. The only reason they're getting 2 stars is because my actual sales person was great (all the ball-dropping had nothing to do with him) and I really like the car. brought my 2020 Kia Sportage in for oil change and inspection sticker, along with a basic 45000 miles inspection and service. I was shown and told the service would be $349 plus $20 to top off/fill my break fluid. My wife is standing beside me the whole time this explanation is going on and listening to what I am getting. At no point does the service girl mention the extra $160 EXTRA ( I supposedly agreed to pay for this service, NO I DID NOT MY WIFE CAN ATEST I DID NOT AGREE TO THIS WORK) to change my complete brake fluid system and charge me without letting me know it would be that additional cost. I would have NEVER AGREED!!! Then on my Inspection they hold my car hostage knowing if I refuse what they need to replace it won't pass inspection and I would have to come back. The part, A REAR WIPER, ARE YOU KIDDING ME? My wiper was/is working completely fine and a bad wiper is a subjective decision that they took advantage of me. My rear wiper was Operating perfectly and completely cleaned my rear wiper die, WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? They take me once again for $20 extra and I'm fuming at this point. They bring out the final bill after waiting over 2 hours and it's $200 more than expected , when I complain this is not what I agreed to there is no supervision there to help. What a horrible experience I had on July 25th 2021 at 11am... My goal for the day was to test drive a Kia K5 GT-Line and a Kia Stinger GT-Line back to back so I could figure out which one I wanted. I was looking to by any time within two weeks. I was greeted by Sayeed (Sorry for the spelling, never got his card) when walking in and my girlfriend and I sat at his desk. I explained my purpose for being there and he ask when I wanted to purchase the vehicle. I specified within two weeks. He insisted on running my credit before I got in the vehicle and I said no, as I did not test drive any car yet and was not willing to have an inquiry done. He ask again when I wanted to buy the car and insisted to run my credit and I said no. He went to talk to his manager so he could get me in the vehicle so I handed him my ID and he was gone for a little while. When he came back, he tried lecturing me on how I'm "Too young to test drive the cars. They are very expensive and that I am only 18 years old." Mind you I'm 22 years old and still have a vertical ID. Which means, neither him nor the manager had the care nor time to read my ID and simply wrote me off. I told him that I'm 22 years old and he said, "I really want to get you in these cars and test drive but you are too young. Come back with someone older." I was absolutely stunned. I told him again, I'm 22 years old. I've test driven at many dealers in order to narrow down what car I've wanted and this is how I was treated. He proceeded to ask me if I had a job, and I said I did and it's a very good job. I make enough money to afford the cars and he said I was still "Too young" and to come back with someone who is older. After this I said I'm done with this and that I was going to Kia of Dartmouth and walked out. At Kia of Dartmouth, sales associate Keith Brady and another fellow, whom I didn't catch his name, helped me with test driving a K5 with no questions asked. They had no hesitation to get me in the car. I loved it so much, I didn't even want to test drive the Stinger anymore. I also didn't want to wait two weeks and ended up purchasing it that same day. Lessons for Route 6 Auto Mall Kia to learn: Never judge someone by their age. You treated me poorly and it costed you the sale. Very unprofessional sales associate and careless manager. They had the numbers for 2 different configurations of the lease but wouldn't give them to me! They essentially said since I wasn't going to buy in the immediate future that what they told me wouldn't be relevant. Being new to the process I just wanted a ballpark figure. I said aren't I a customer and they said no because I wasn't buying anything. 12 years ago I bought a car there and when I went to pick it up they added a $300 charge which they took off when I got up to walk out. I was sold a car less than 1 year ago by Route 6 KIA. They sold me a service membership at that time for $490 which included free oil changes and a free yearly detail for as long as I keep the car. They used this offer to get me to take home a (brand new, fully paid) car that I was refusing after contracting due to it not being given as advertised. It was also not clean, which was blamed on the ride from CT where they picked it up. This is after they stated that they would clean and detail it. I took the membership and car after they agreed to clean it. A few months passed, and they denied me an oil change and all agreed upon services that were included in the membership they convinced me to purchase. I reported them to corporate. They told my corporate representative that they sent me a refund check for $490 for this contracted membership months ago, but could not prove it to her. I never received it, nor had I been notified that this refund was being issued and that my membership was being canceled. They said they would be breaking the contract and refunding me the contract money "again". They would not answer any of my phone calls or emails. I finally called using my other phone and number, and the GM answered. He stated that he doesn't need my $490 and it is "cheaper to get rid of" me. I have a copy of all contracts signed with this business, as well as a voicemail from corporate confirming that they agreed to provide me with a $490 refund. I know a lot of people are struggling with this business. To those who are, I recommend a free Better Business Bureau report, calling corporate (which won't always help because they're independently owned), and further legal action. Eventually they will stop getting away with the inappropriate and vulgar commentary and unethical practices. read more

My wife and I own a 2014 KIA Serento and loved it. A co-worker bought a new 2023 Sportage and showed it off to me. I liked it so much I went to Route 6 Auto mall KIA to by the exact same car. I used my co workers name so that she could get the $100 referral. She never got it. I called and stopped in three times and she still never got it. Two nights ago, my sales person Bryan told me it was sent out. Lies! The first month the check engine light came on. I brought it to the dealer and they don't know what the code is. So, nothing fixed. Then after a rain storm the passenger side floor filled up with water. Service was confident that it is a Kia defect with the AC drainage. So they blow out the line and called us to pick up the car. Fixed, lies, two days later the car was again full of water. Brought the car back and explained what had happened. This time they said a spider web was the cause of the leak. They again said they blew it out . Git the car back and the floor is again full of water. Brought it back the third time and they say there is nothing wrong with the car now, so they took the seat out, rug out, and supposedly dried it out this time. Why did they not dry it out the first three times. Customer service and taking care of the customers car was never there top priority. Just selling the car. They never even washed the car before returning it to us, this last time, all kinds of finger prints all over this new black car, and some kind of muffin crumbs in the front see?????? At this point we do. It want this car. I spoke to a night manager who said he would have the general manager call me. Three tries in three days and he still hasn't called me back. The night manager gave me a number to call to see if we could get a lemon law. The number he gave me was KIA finance . Again wrong information. I will still try to get out of the least and find a new car. At this point I wouldn't buy another car from them. Buyer beware!!! read more

Dropped off my car on 2/21, was informed I would need an engine replacement on 2/28. Engine was still under warranty. Waited another week, there was still no ETA on the engine, and no loaner available so I rented a car from 3/7 to 3/30. After weeks of continuously calling and stopping by the service office for updates and getting no answers, I finally picked up a loaner on 3/30 and returned it on 5/4 when the repair was completed. I drove out of the garage and realized I had a flat tire. They had to have noticed when they drove my car up front but let me get in and start to drive away just the same. I was told by their customer care specialist that I would be reimbursed for the rental but I had to go through the dealership to submit the paperwork, which I did. They also advised I would be reimbursed up to $40 a day with no time limit. Three months later after many more follow up emails, I finally received a check which didn't even cover one week of rental. I reached out to the service manager many times to correct the problem and to find out when I would be reimbursed the correct amount to no avail. Completely unethical and dishonest. This dealership tried to sneak in a market adjustment fee that was higher than what was listed online, in direct violation of Attorney General Healey's Automobile Advertising Advisory. I saw a 2024 Kia Sportage on Route 6 Auto Mall Kia's website that I was interested in. The online price shows a $1,495.00 market adjustment fee. I then went into the dealership and worked with salesman Syed Mahmud. Mr. Mahmud tried to add a $4,000.00 market adjustment fee instead of what was listed online. When I informed him that the online price was different, Mr. Mahmud insisted that this was the correct market adjustment fee for this vehicle. Only after I demanded my keys back, so that I could leave, did the dealership attempt to honor the listed price online. read more

We purchased a car without seeing it due to the shortage. We bought the top of the line model so that we would have the tablets for our daughter in the back. Since the car was not in yet we couldn't actually mess around with the technology. We were promised the car in December, December came and went. We didn't receive the car until APRIL! They would not give us our deposit back, would not give any kind of discount (we paid 10% over the retail price), and then when there were issues with the car they wouldn't even return our call! They sold us a 60k car that the tablets don't work in and most of the technology is blocked because of some crazy law in MA and never disclosed that to us. Cool new features like total Blue tooth connection for Android Auto and love the purple illumination on the dash. Part way through the deal I realize I had made a mistake with something and he was sooo cool about it. Bait and switch alert!!! I called and visited several dealers before placing a deposit on a incoming 2020 Telluride with Rt 6 Kia in Swansea. I chose them because they assured me several times and we had a written agreement (which is why I put a deposit down) that they were selling at or under MSRP. My Telluride was due to arrive in May but obviously Covid happened. I kept in touch with the dealership and general manager to get updated ETAs as I knew the Kia plant in Georgia was shut down a few times and later on they dealt with supply issues. I was patient, even though they had a $500 deposit of mine for months and months (and did a hard credit pull for no reason)! After I heard from my sources that Kia Corporate was moving all outstanding 2020 Tellurides to 2021s, I followed up with my dealer to be assured they would not be changing pricing with me and to get an updated ETA, they suddenly became unresponsive. I got the feeling they were even screening my calls and not answering so I started blocking my number and guess what, once I did that, they started answering. When I did get ahold of people, they refused to provide me any questions. Keep in mind they had my money. Last week, I finally got an answer after me calling them yet again. They informed me that the Kia incentives changed (weren't as good) so my numbers had to be re-wored. Their math didn't add up. They were trying to hide the fact they put in a $2000 upcharge. I called them out on it repeatedly and they finally came clean. So much for our written agreement. I don't like being treated like a dumb female. I'm educated, I do my research, and I handle my finances carefully. This dealership is sneaky and unethical. Stay away. read more

From start to finish buying a car here was a disaster and I regret ever doing business with these people. They have absolutely no customer service or problem solving skills across the board. I bought my car in November 2021 and living in RI I was given temporary plates until my hard plates came in, which would be fine except that my hard plates were not ready until close to 2 weeks after the temporary had expired. I was not offered a loaner car or given any solution and was instructed to drive illegally until the plates came in. Any person I contacted in this time period was not able to help or even provide a polite answer so I just waited it out. Fast forward to today, about 6 months later I am getting pulled over for expired plates. Imagine my surprise that the new plates I had to wait for to begin with and paid the full registration and documentation fee for, were only valid one month and not a single person at the dealership felt the need to tell me. When I called to let the dealership know there was an error made while registering my car and that I have a $100 fee and citation because of it, I was told "there is nothing they can do and it's not their problem so take it up with the RMV". After being told multiple times they would not even attempt to help correct the mistake they made, I asked for a loaner car to drive while I work on getting a new registration on my own (as they suggested) and was told no and "good luck with that, no one is going to help you". This is somehow only the highlight reel of my experience with Zach and Julie. They both had plenty of other rude and condescending things to say to me on the phone, but since no one at the dealership has the ability to solve a customer problem I guess I will have to figure it out myself. If you have considered visiting this dealership I would suggested saving yourself the trouble because the customer service is simply not worth it. While I bought used, I also know they are charging over MSRP on new so unless you enjoy paying thousands over asking while receiving the worst service of your car buying experience: do yourself a favor and buy elsewhere. read more

STAY AWAY! The worst experience I have EVER had buying a car and I'll be paying for the mistake for the next 4 years. First they sold me a car, great. They put temporary plates on it before they had title in hand..ILLEGAL. When the plates inevitably expired they advised me to drive on the expired plates. They still did not have the title and couldn't register it. I refused to drive on expired plates so they gave me a rental and then ignored me every time I tried to get in contact to figure out a long term solution. I had to physically go into the dealership to get any type of answer. They admit that they shouldn't have done a temporary registration without the title and can't actually sell me the car. So I have to give back the car I bought, my trade is had already been sent to auction as well. I was left without a car. My options were take a check from them for the value of my trade or buy another car from them. I was afraid to take the check because the car buying market right now is terrible and I couldn't be without a car. They have nothing used on the lot that is anywhere near comparable to what I bought or traded in. They talk me into a lease. A 4 year lease at that. They talk it up as if they are doing me a favor because of their screw up. I get rushed through paperwork and don't get a chance to read the fine print. Now I'm in a lease for a payment that is much too high for what it is. I'm stuck with the car. What they fail to tell you when you lease from them is that they make it very difficult for you to trade in the lease somewhere else. Carvana won't touch it. Carmax won't touch it. Small dealerships won't touch it. No one will buy you out of a Kia lease because of their fine print. I've leased other cars, this is just a KIA clause. So now I am stuck in a 4 year lease for a car I don't want, for a payment that is higher than I am comfortable with and all because of their screw up. There radio ad is a lie. I spoke to Andrea Omar on the phone she said they have special mitshubitsi buyer so they can offer me more on my trade than other dealerships (thats a lie). Drove 3 hours round trip. Went to the dealership Bryan Carchipcouea (spelling) does not have good people skills and was rude. The manager didnt even introduce herself. She just said no lender will ever finance you. When I told her that dan obrien kia Norwood offered to finance me and offered above book value on my mitshubitsi. she said well go buy from them. They never even tried to negotiate did not run numbers. Didn't ask if I could put money down or any other question just no we cant sell you a car. It's a shame there's not a no star rating. This business is horrible, we bought a 2023 Kia Carnival and first issue we noticed there wasn't knobs to hook the sun screens and the salesman said he would order them and call us to come back and install them free of charge. Never called, went back a month later spoke with the service department, they said they couldn't do anything and the salesman was on vacation, left him a message still hasn't called us back. Went in to get a recall fixed for the dangerous sliding doors that close on whatever is in the way. Supposedly got fixed but now the doors don't close properly. Have to schedule a date for the doors to get fixed with an updated software. The Software update doesn't fix the problem wasted another day so they said they'll order a replacement door. Come to get the door fixed because they said the part came in. they take the door off and try to put the new one on...WRONG PART?!? wasted another day and to top it off one of the employees working inside my car leaves a snap on folding knife open and ready to cut one of my children in the back seat. Luckily I found it before my 6 year old or 4 year old did. Had to go back again, told them to have a rental car ready so we're not wasting a day. They reschedule the replacement door install we show up, NO RENTAL?!?. This place is a joke! Stay far away from this clown show. read more

I was extremely pleased with Route 6 Auto Mall. I was given the utmost attention and knowledge on the car that I was interested in purchasing. After I did all the paperwork with the financial department, I was then given a full briefing on every piece of equipment in the car and how to use it.
