We absolutely love the British Open Pub. It fills up with locals from happy hour until sunset, but it's generally not terrible wait! We love the happy hour deals, we love the service, and we love the golf themed ambiance. Totally family friendly, they love on my infant and make us feel welcome. No wonder it's so popular!

I have dined here many times inside but tonight decided to do carry out. I ordered meatloaf and veggies and my wife had shrimp and fish. My meatloaf was way overdone and I could only eat the center section. The outside was black and dry. My wife's fish and shrimp was perfect as usual. Since it was carry out I could not really send it back to the kitchen thus the two star review.

I had the fish & chips yesterday and the batter was soaked in grease. It was so bad. My stomach has been so upset for the past 24 hours. I have always had a problem with food that is fried incorrectly and overly greasy.

We had reservations and were quickly seated- waitress was friendly and very efficient. I came for Prime Rib Wednesday but wasn't very hungry so I got the Blackened steak salad that was huge and excellent - got a doggie box for the rest. Service was great- friendly and very efficient . Chocolate cake dessert was too sweet for me.

I started off with the baked brie.Wrapped in puff pastry, topped with toasted almonds and raspberry sause served with fresh fruit and baguette slices.Tasty and the perfect starter to cool you down on a hot day. With fast and friendly service I received the British fare of the Piccadilly fish and chips.Fresh cod loin, dipped in lager batter and fried golden brown, served with fries, coleslaw and tartar. It was flaky, hot and delicious. Plenty of parking in the huge lot.

With speedy service and a smile I received my starter of the baked brie.Wrapped in a pastry topped with almonds and raspberry sauce and served with fresh fruit and baguettes. It was refreshing and tasty. For my entree I ordered the Picadilly fish and Chips , traditional pub food.It was fresh cod dipped in lager batter , served with brown city fries, Coleslaw and tartar sauce. Was crispy and delicious. Nice size bar to grab a pint.

Endless mimosas and complimentary scones. So yummy!

Brunch on Sunday. This was our first time at the pub and we didn't know what to expect. According to my SIL, the establishment truly reflects the character of a British pub. It's cozy and welcoming. We ordered crab cake eggs Benedict and smoked salmon eggs Benedict with potato wedges. Both entrées were super delicious. Our waitress kept the mimosa glasses topped off regularly, which was a welcome change from some other establishments were one has to keep calling for a refill. All in all a good time was had by both of us and we plan to return soon on a Friday for Fish and Chips!

Great fish and chips, great service, with an upscale sports bar vibe. Recommended to us by a local, this was a perfect lunch spot for our after a golf outing. The special was a fish and chips and they were perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Love the golf memorabilia on the walls and TVs turned to the golf channel, it added to the vibe. Want a quiet lunch, sit at one of the outside tables and you will be happy.

Enjoyed the decor- golf (obviously) and British vibes. Everyone working was friendly. Could be a cool spot to be a regular (and they were there). Tried the fish & chips. Not too heavy, which was great, I thought! Drinks were good, too. We got chicken wings to start as they were recommended. They were okay, but really I was pleased with the fish and chips.

Brunch- Crab Cakes Benedict, seasoned potatoes, creamy grits, orange juice, and bottomless Mimosas!

Lovely outdoor seating with fast and friendly service. Just a beautiful outdoor dining area with the sounds of birds and the occasional squirrel sited. The food was exceptional and we always look forward to stopping in to see the folks here.

Food was awful. Mashed potatoes were chunky and flavorless. Beef wellingtons had unappetizing taste. Wont be back.

I inquired about the Fish & Chips and she was honest, stating that is purchased as previously battered and frozen. I skipped the Fish & Chips and ordered the hamburger described as "Custom Blended Beef" and the Chips as the side selection. I would rate the Hamburger at a solid 5 out of 10 and the Chips at 8. My fiancee ordered the Ruben with French Fries. She rated her sandwich as just okay stating the sauerkraut was just bland. I tried the sauerkraut and she was correct, as always, it was just bland. On a side note, a family a eleven came into the outside dining area. The server pulled two square tables together to seat six and pointed to a side round table to seat five. As the server went inside the family had a discussion and pulled the two square tables and two round tables together so they could all sit as a group. The server reemerged and was not amused. The family stated that the barmaid inside said that they could all sit together. The server said that the barmaid does not work outside and that she may need that round for other people and started to pull the tables apart. They ended up leaving.

Surprisingly roomy with two separate dining rooms and a third with a bar and more tables. Service was quick, but a little too quick. But no sauce!!! So I made my own with ketchup and hot sauces. Chicken picata was good. Chicken a Parmesan and crab stuffed grouper were also ok. Salmon was decent. My husband is a sucker for spinach artichoke dip and we gave theirs a try. We both really liked it, but we were sort of fighting over it since there was so little of it. For our entree, the stuff was super accommodating and let us split the Italian beef sandwich. Points to the staff for giving me the plate with the pickle spear! Also points to the staff for the warning about the spicy giardiniara. I still got it and enjoyed it, but was still a little (pleasantly!) surprised. We each enjoyed our half of the sandwich. Very Chicago-esque atmosphere inside, surely to appeal to those traveling from that area, or who miss home. The food was great, the staff was excellent. Check them out if you're missing your midwestern food!

Hi Everyone, We want…read moreto first compliment Gail your host and Owner of the Jazz Corner in Hilton Head, SC for the exceptional talent she has booked over these many years in her club because it is always wonderful. That alone would be a terrific accomplishment but when it is paired with the exceptional, savory fare they offer, the combination makes for a very special event. Their grouper or steak are always exceptionally prepared and delicious and if you prefer wine or cocktails, you have some delightful offerings. The service at the bar, or a table is wonderfully pleasant and very timely in our experience which we always enjoy. We feel the star here is the Jazz as this venue is small enough to feel the music move over you, around you, and through you which is exciting and delightful. These are very talented musicians that hit all the right notes. Their side comedy is always funny as well. Our last visit was on Valentine's Day this year (2026) offered an exceptional guest trio with their Pianist's Father sitting in the audience which was very touching. In our many visits here, over our decades living here in The Low Country, the Jazz Corner has delivered an eclectic evening which is always a thrill. So if you enjoy a romantic evening out with your special someone, we can highly recommend you visit the Jazz Corner together and feel the music overtake you. Enjoy!l

It doesn't feel corporate or manufactured at all. More like you've stumbled into somebody's lovingly chaotic backyard dinner party where the food just happens to be genuinely top-tier. The mismatched charm, handwritten feel, and warm atmosphere are part of what makes it so special. There's this brilliant contrast between the laid-back hole-in-the-wall vibe and the seriously refined cooking coming out of the kitchen. We started with the fried green tomatoes which were incredibly tender, fried perfectly, and drizzled with a lovely house-made ranch. The sweet house pickles alongside were such a good touch. We also each had a cup of she crab soup which was beautifully seasoned and packed with tonnes of crab morsels. For mains, we shared the shrimp and grits and completely understood why the recipe has won awards, including being recognised as the 3rd best in the world. The recipe is rooted in traditional Lowcountry cooking but elevated with layers of flavour that somehow still feel comforting and homemade. The grits were unbelievably creamy, and the shrimp and sausage were perfectly cooked with fantastic flavour throughout. We also split the seafood purloo with blackened grouper, and it was equally impressive. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted incredibly fresh without trying too hard to be fancy. What really made the experience though was the staff. Everyone went above and beyond. They took time to chat with us about the area, paced the courses perfectly so nothing felt rushed, and by the end we were leaving with handshakes feeling more like guests than customers. Places like this are getting harder to find. We'll absolutely be back and would recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Lowcountry food served by genuinely wonderful people.
