Sit at the bar or grab a table and the service is FAST but the food is very good for a tiki shack kind of environment. We particularly liked the fish sandwich and fish tacos. Also I can never resist tater tots so it's automatically a winner. It upset my digestive system enough to derail one of my vacation days, which definitely colored the experience. One thing that stood out was the presence of armed security guards. Not necessarily a problem, but it does create a different atmosphere than you might expect from a casual beachfront bar. Many reviews have mentioned the parking. We stayed at the hotel, so it wasn't an issue for us but somebody sitting next to me at the bar was ejected by management for something related to parking. I'm not sure of the exact details because I couldn't hear the conversation well, but it seemed to have to do with either buying or selling a parking pass with someone else. There was another incident where an unruly patron had the police called on them after engaging with one of the aforementioned security guards. This is a giant tiki bar right on the beach and they have a second hut for a band to perform live music, which seems to be a daily occurrence. The drinks were good as well as the service. Walked up from the beach. Great location. We were told to sit where we pleased by the bartender and that's just what we did. Our waitress, Barb, greeted us warmly with water shortly after and we ordered Moscow Mules. The drinks came out rather quickly and were very good. The coolest bar in Hilton Head! We were on the beach, and we wanted a drink, so we got up and walked right into the tiki hut. The line was kind of chaotic, but it went really fast. There was no clear line, just a bunch of people waiting, which is typical of a bar. There were seats and the bar and tons of tables to sit at, but we just wanted to get our drinks and go. We think his name was Cole, but we left because we couldn't listen to him any longer (like bad karaoke), Both servers were very nice (one was Kitty Kat?). The Sailor Punch and Miami Vice were both good. The lava flow & tiki lemonade were our favorite! All drinks were strong. This was great since almost everywhere we went on the island was weak! It tasted like it was made from sno-cone syrup. My husband got a Bloody Mary which was very watery and had no garnish. We wanted something light to eat, so we got twin tacos with the Mahi. They were alright, but the fish was overcooked and dry. The worst part was the Tiki House salad. For $14, the salad came in one of those little cardboard boats you might get a small order of tater tots in. There was an awesome band playing, one of my buddy's favorite, so we had to stay. Don't plan on having a conversation while a band is playing here, it is super loud, but so fun! Servers on an island are hit or miss, but our server was SO nice, she actually took a minute to chat about the band when she came back to check on us for the 2nd time. It was starting to thin out, as the band had finished. We were approached pretty quickly when we sat down. I ordered some nachos $12 and added chicken $6. They use white cheese, which I much prefer over that nacho cheese so many bars use. A healthy dose of jalapenos with the chicken piled on made it yummy! A White Claw was $9. Very cool place to get a drink and a bite to eat. We had some time to kill while waiting to head to the airport so we decided to come here. Located on Coligny Beach, they feature live music every day with great bands who provide music to all beachgoers. There's the Beach House which is the hotel resort attached as well as The Porch. We were lucky enough to find 2 seats at the bar. The bartenders and waitresses/waitors are super fast and very attentive. The drinks are amazing. Maybe a little pricey, but it's worth it just for the music and the vibe. We ordered the Super Pretzel with Queso cheese. It was huge and delicious. The cheese sauce was tasty and a little spicy. You can sit under the Tiki Hut or on the outside picnic tables. There's a shower for people coming from the beach to rinse off. There are also rest rooms and access to South Forest Beach Drive. They use the Toast app for payment and allow you to charge to the hotel room if you're staying there. read more

This is a seat yourself patio right on the beach attached to the hotel. The atmosphere is fun and tropical with the iconic thatched roof and live island music playing. We were promptly greeted by a server who indicated her shift was ending and a new server would be taking over. They're using a toast pos system and could have easily transferred the tab. Odd. Our food arrived fairly quickly after we paid our bill. We ordered two burgers, pulled pork and two Mahi sandwiches. The Mahi was a nice piece of fish but could use more seasoning or a sauce to bring out the flavor- it was definitelynot blackenedas the menu indicated. Placing it on a sesame hamburger bun really degraded what could be a nice dish. My friend enjoyed the pulled pork but again the bun didn't fit the quality of the meat product. The burgers were decent but nothing special. It is clear this place is designed around drinks and not food. Know this going in if you are taking a family. Also they do not offer happy hour so do not be deceived by other reviews. I specifically asked and the waitress said they do not offer a HH anymore. For drinks we had the Nutty Sailor and the Sailor punch. Both were er just OK- watered down by too much ice and not a good balance of flavors. We were at the beach and did not want to get in the car just to grab lunch. It was conveniently located from where we were at the beach. Place was really nicely redone, has a great vibe, from its beach views to the live band. We were surprised that we were able to find a table quickly, given it was the height of lunch and the convenient location.
