I am a big tiki person and although this isn't my typical type of tiki bar it is still a great tiki BEACH bar!! This is a giant tiki bar right on the beach and they have a second hut for a band to perform live music, which seems to be a daily occurrence. The drinks were good as well as the service. I particularly loved that the bar is completely covered and had a great airflow/breeze happening.

Walked up from the beach. Great location. We were told to sit where we pleased by the bartender and that's just what we did. Our waitress, Barb, greeted us warmly with water shortly after and we ordered Moscow Mules. The drinks came out rather quickly and were very good. We ordered Coconut shrimp for an appetizer and they were delicious. Fried perfectly and just enough coconut. Chefs kiss. For entrees we ordered the Tiki Burger with fries and Chicken Finger Basket with sweet potato fries and coleslaw. Everything was so good. Barb kept checking on us making sure everything was great, and it was! Thanks. The live band was great, songs they sang were great singalongs and they had awesome voices. Didn't get their name but they were good entertainment . The rain started on the beach so we ordered another round. We got Tito's Frozen Lemonade. The rain really started to fall so we ordered frozen grapes and took the check. Everything was good, including the service. Would return.

My group had a great experience here! The service was so friendly and fast. I ordered two twin tacos with shrimp. The chips and salsa I could have done without, but the tacos were good. I also had a pina colada which was great. This is the kind of place where you can show up in your swimsuit and fit right in. You are literally on the beach so the views are great. They also had live music which was a nice touch. Give it a try!

Great spot on the beach for a bite. They had a band playing which was fun! Service was fast- food came out within 10 minutes or less. Food wasn't anything crazy to write home about but it was good.

Service: Not sure what the staff deal here considering I was not inky the only African American present to enjoy A Caucasian Band but, service was not pleasant. One guy ignored my attempt to order a drink after sitting down at their outside tiki bar off the beach until another guy decided he would finally serve me...made me wish I took my business somewhere else cause their vin and impolite demeanors were noticed when serving me. Ambiance: Because of the live band it was a decent crowd of attendees. Not my type of music but, I made the best of it to enjoy my time in town exploring HH beach. Entertainment: The live band was the only highlight of this bar. Especially cause the drink tasted like flavored water; I did not taste a lick of alcohol! Food: I ate before here so I don't know.

The coolest bar in Hilton Head! We were on the beach, and we wanted a drink, so we got up and walked right into the tiki hut. The line was kind of chaotic, but it went really fast. There was no clear line, just a bunch of people waiting, which is typical of a bar. There were seats and the bar and tons of tables to sit at, but we just wanted to get our drinks and go. I got a banana daquiri and the shark bait daquiri. After we ordered, it only took the bar tender a minute or two to make our drinks. They came out really fast and were so delicious. I love the looks of this tiki hut because you really feel as if you are in a tiki hut. Being right in the beach, this is a perfect option for a snack or drink on a Long Beach day.

Live music on Friday nights at this bar right on the beach. We had the banana coladas which were fantastic (not too sweet) but good banana and coconut flavor. It gets very busy, but service was still good for the outdoor bar. We took our drinks and sat out on the beach with family.

They did not open till 11 o'clock, but there were people sitting starting at 10:30. It was nice that they allowed that vs making you stand out in the sun. They had live music starting at 11. The guy on Tuesday 3/19 was good and had a wide variety of songs/genres. The guy that there on Thursday 3/21 was a Texas country singer who was completely off-key. We think his name was Cole, but we left because we couldn't listen to him any longer (like bad karaoke), Both servers were very nice (one was Kitty Kat?). The Sailor Punch and Miami Vice were both good. The lava flow & tiki lemonade were our favorite! All drinks were strong. This was great since almost everywhere we went on the island was weak! The bucket drink was also great but it gets watered down quickly with the heat. The grilled shrimp were very large and good. The codfish & tater tots were good, but overcooked. This was one of our favorite places on the island but the $20 parking is insane (park for free in beach parking & walk).

My friends and I had the best lunch today at the Tiki Hut in Hilton Head! The location is unbeatable--right on the beach with beautiful views. We tried the blackened mahi sandwich and the Caribbean chicken sandwich, and both were absolutely delicious. Our waitress was very kind and attentive, and our food came out quickly. Everything about the experience was wonderful, and we will definitely be eating here again. Highly recommend!

Visited the beach knowing I had to pop in on the Tiki Hut to see what was going on. Wow, at 3pm on a Friday afternoon in December - the place was PACKED. Barely found a table! There was an awesome band playing, one of my buddy's favorite, so we had to stay. Don't plan on having a conversation while a band is playing here, it is super loud, but so fun! Servers on an island are hit or miss, but our server was SO nice, she actually took a minute to chat about the band when she came back to check on us for the 2nd time. It was starting to thin out, as the band had finished. We were approached pretty quickly when we sat down. I ordered some nachos $12 and added chicken $6. They use white cheese, which I much prefer over that nacho cheese so many bars use. A healthy dose of jalapenos with the chicken piled on made it yummy! A White Claw was $9. I'm glad we stopped in, it was so fun and we chatted with other patrons also - after it quieted down, lol. On my receipt it's called 'The Porch', just an fyi. Enjoy!

There's a reason why this venue was voted as one of the top ten beach bars in the country. Located on Coligny Beach, they feature live music every day with great bands who provide music to all beachgoers. There's the Beach House which is the hotel resort attached as well as The Porch. We were lucky enough to find 2 seats at the bar. The bartenders and waitresses/waitors are super fast and very attentive. The drinks are amazing. Maybe a little pricey, but it's worth it just for the music and the vibe. We ordered the Super Pretzel with Queso cheese. It was huge and delicious. The cheese sauce was tasty and a little spicy. You can sit under the Tiki Hut or on the outside picnic tables. There's a shower for people coming from the beach to rinse off. There are also rest rooms and access to South Forest Beach Drive. They use the Toast app for payment and allow you to charge to the hotel room if you're staying there.

How is parking (and cost) for here?

If you're not staying at the hotel, there is a $10 cost.

    Are children allowed?

Of course, it’s part of a Holiday Inn, why wouldn’t it be family friendly

Is the tiki hit dog friendly?

No!!!!!! Not at all! Huge sign that says no dogs and wouldn't let us bring our 6 lb chihuahua. Very ridiculous of a beach bar if you ask me

Is the tiki hut dog friendly?

    Yes very!

    Are dogs allowed?

Yes they are. I saw many dogs with their owners!

The second time we went at 4 and it was super fast going in and getting our food! For parking, it can be a bit crazy we luckily got front row parking both times. Since it's sooo close to the other seaside restaurant they share parking. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience doesn't quite live up to the room itself. The drink menu felt more like a typical bar menu with a handful of tiki drinks sprinkled in, and it was missing many of the tiki classics you'd expect. Maybe you can order them off-menu, but that's a lot less fun than having a thoughtfully curated tiki menu to explore. The food selection was also very limited and felt overpriced for what you get. The Bamboo Room occupies the second floor of a building with three different bars, each with its own menu, and I think that's part of the problem. It feels less like a dedicated tiki bar and more like one themed floor of a larger operation. They went all-in on the decor, but not quite on the experience. The service was friendly, but it felt interchangeable with the other floors--no unique uniforms, presentation, or tiki flair. There's a great tiki bar hiding in here. Put as much care into the drinks, food, service, and overall experience as went into designing the room, and The Bamboo Room could really be something special.

It was a Wednesday night and the skies were about to open up, but I was surprised when we arrived that it was completely empty. Right away we loved the decor, but I was confused as to where everybody was. The bartender came out and let us know that it was just a particularly slow night and offered us a menu. We decided to stay to have our newly found private bar all to ourselves. Some people pay big money for that. The cocktails came in really cool tiki mugs that made for excellent pictures, and many of the mugs are available for purchase if you want to take home a little souvenir. The servers were also fantastic--friendly, attentive, and quick to keep the drinks flowing. The only real downside is that the décor is fairly light on the tiki atmosphere, and the experience could have used some proper tiki music in the background. Still, the drinks and service more than made up for it. There was also a rather unusual incident during our visit. A man burst into the bar wearing a giant bucket hat with a buckle and began demanding that everyone be arrested for witchcraft. He kept shouting, "You're all witches!" despite our repeated assurances that we were simply enjoying cocktails. I told him to calm down, but he refused. So, after finishing my fourth drink, I raised my glass and began reciting the menu backward. Suddenly, a bright blue light enveloped him. He screamed, vanished completely, and left behind nothing but the faint smell of coconut rum. Everyone in the bar applauded, and I was rewarded with free stickers and a drink stirrer. A marvelous evening, all things considered.
