Live music on Friday nights at this bar right on the beach. We had the banana coladas which were fantastic (not too sweet) but good banana and coconut flavor. It gets very busy, but service was still good for the outdoor bar. We took our drinks and sat out on the beach with family.

They did not open till 11 o'clock, but there were people sitting starting at 10:30. It was nice that they allowed that vs making you stand out in the sun. They had live music starting at 11. The guy on Tuesday 3/19 was good and had a wide variety of songs/genres. The guy that there on Thursday 3/21 was a Texas country singer who was completely off-key. We think his name was Cole, but we left because we couldn't listen to him any longer (like bad karaoke), Both servers were very nice (one was Kitty Kat?). The Sailor Punch and Miami Vice were both good. The lava flow & tiki lemonade were our favorite! All drinks were strong. This was great since almost everywhere we went on the island was weak! The bucket drink was also great but it gets watered down quickly with the heat. The grilled shrimp were very large and good. The codfish & tater tots were good, but overcooked. This was one of our favorite places on the island but the $20 parking is insane (park for free in beach parking & walk).

Great spot on the beach for a bite. They had a band playing which was fun! Service was fast- food came out within 10 minutes or less. Food wasn't anything crazy to write home about but it was good.

Service: Not sure what the staff deal here considering I was not inky the only African American present to enjoy A Caucasian Band but, service was not pleasant. One guy ignored my attempt to order a drink after sitting down at their outside tiki bar off the beach until another guy decided he would finally serve me...made me wish I took my business somewhere else cause their vin and impolite demeanors were noticed when serving me. Ambiance: Because of the live band it was a decent crowd of attendees. Not my type of music but, I made the best of it to enjoy my time in town exploring HH beach. Entertainment: The live band was the only highlight of this bar. Especially cause the drink tasted like flavored water; I did not taste a lick of alcohol! Food: I ate before here so I don't know.

The coolest bar in Hilton Head! We were on the beach, and we wanted a drink, so we got up and walked right into the tiki hut. The line was kind of chaotic, but it went really fast. There was no clear line, just a bunch of people waiting, which is typical of a bar. There were seats and the bar and tons of tables to sit at, but we just wanted to get our drinks and go. I got a banana daquiri and the shark bait daquiri. After we ordered, it only took the bar tender a minute or two to make our drinks. They came out really fast and were so delicious. I love the looks of this tiki hut because you really feel as if you are in a tiki hut. Being right in the beach, this is a perfect option for a snack or drink on a Long Beach day.

My friends and I had the best lunch today at the Tiki Hut in Hilton Head! The location is unbeatable--right on the beach with beautiful views. We tried the blackened mahi sandwich and the Caribbean chicken sandwich, and both were absolutely delicious. Our waitress was very kind and attentive, and our food came out quickly. Everything about the experience was wonderful, and we will definitely be eating here again. Highly recommend!

Visited the beach knowing I had to pop in on the Tiki Hut to see what was going on. Wow, at 3pm on a Friday afternoon in December - the place was PACKED. Barely found a table! There was an awesome band playing, one of my buddy's favorite, so we had to stay. Don't plan on having a conversation while a band is playing here, it is super loud, but so fun! Servers on an island are hit or miss, but our server was SO nice, she actually took a minute to chat about the band when she came back to check on us for the 2nd time. It was starting to thin out, as the band had finished. We were approached pretty quickly when we sat down. I ordered some nachos $12 and added chicken $6. They use white cheese, which I much prefer over that nacho cheese so many bars use. A healthy dose of jalapenos with the chicken piled on made it yummy! A White Claw was $9. I'm glad we stopped in, it was so fun and we chatted with other patrons also - after it quieted down, lol. On my receipt it's called 'The Porch', just an fyi. Enjoy!

There's a reason why this venue was voted as one of the top ten beach bars in the country. Located on Coligny Beach, they feature live music every day with great bands who provide music to all beachgoers. There's the Beach House which is the hotel resort attached as well as The Porch. We were lucky enough to find 2 seats at the bar. The bartenders and waitresses/waitors are super fast and very attentive. The drinks are amazing. Maybe a little pricey, but it's worth it just for the music and the vibe. We ordered the Super Pretzel with Queso cheese. It was huge and delicious. The cheese sauce was tasty and a little spicy. You can sit under the Tiki Hut or on the outside picnic tables. There's a shower for people coming from the beach to rinse off. There are also rest rooms and access to South Forest Beach Drive. They use the Toast app for payment and allow you to charge to the hotel room if you're staying there.

The place had been completed redone since my first visit in 2023! Great frozen drinks, cheap floaters, and live music! Burger hit the spot after a 3 mile walk from shelter cove!

Great local beach hang out on the beach at Coligny plaza. Expect tavern food.... Beachy type summer drinks, cold beers.... Music.... Beach volleyball..... great views of the beach and ocean. Limited parking for hotel guests only.... Large public parking for beach across the street.

Looking for a place to cool off with drinks, shade from the sun and fans after playing in the ocean while listening to live chill music? The Tiki Hut is the place to go. The pulled pork nachos hit the spot with the extra cheesiness and the right crisp pork. The nachos paired well with the Nutty Sailor (Sailor Jerry's Rum). The friendly staff made sure we were well attended to with their chilled demeanor service.

How is parking (and cost) for here?

If you're not staying at the hotel, there is a $10 cost.

    Are children allowed?

Of course, it’s part of a Holiday Inn, why wouldn’t it be family friendly

Is the tiki hit dog friendly?

No!!!!!! Not at all! Huge sign that says no dogs and wouldn't let us bring our 6 lb chihuahua. Very ridiculous of a beach bar if you ask me

Is the tiki hut dog friendly?

    Yes very!

    Are dogs allowed?

Yes they are. I saw many dogs with their owners!

Skull Creek Dockside was... fine. Not bad, not great, just fine. One thing I learned pretty quickly…read moreis that Hilton Head seems to have a deep and abiding love affair with frying seafood. Maybe that's a local thing. Maybe I'm the weird one. But when I'm on the coast, I'm usually hoping for fresh seafood that tastes like the ocean rather than the fryer oil. I started with the stuffed clam appetizer. Usually a stuffed clam comes chopped up and mixed into the stuffing so you can actually eat it in one bite. This was a whole clam with fried stuffing piled on top. It created a unique challenge where it was too big for one bite but also nearly impossible to cut in half. To make matters worse, it wasn't cleaned particularly well, so I got to shuck it myself and enjoy a little bonus grit with dinner. The seafood chowder was decent. The hushpuppies were overcooked, which is a tough miss around here because every restaurant on the island seems locked in an arms race to make the best hushpuppies. You've got to bring your A-game. Service was solid. Our server was attentive, competent, and did everything right. The drinks were fine. One big plus is that they take reservations, which is a blessing on this packed island where most places seem to treat reservations like a mythological creature. Overall, if you're looking for fried seafood and a convenient reservation, you'll probably be happy. If you're searching for fresh seafood that really shines on its own... you may want to cast your net elsewhere.

If you're there in cold weather, position yourself in front of one of the blasting electric space heaters. I was there in January and didn't pay much attention to the outdoor seating, but did notice some fun-looking transparent geodesic dome tent-like thingies you can sit in. I had raw local oysters, falafel bites, and nachos. The oysters were fresh, chilled and served with interesting condiments. The falafel was sizzling hot and served with delicious tzatziki. I opted for South African sausage on the nachos and they were an interesting dining experience: made with sturdy potato chips instead of tortilla chips. The best part? The margaritas! Yes, latest visit since we also visited June 2025, and gave that visit a 4 star. Let me say there were several issues during this visit. First, they didn't have a common beer available, claiming they ran out of Corona. Now it is a Friday night and you're going into the weekend without one of the most popular beers - just crazy. Next I ordered the Low Country Boil, well after a few minutes another person comes to me as says they have no potatoes for the meal and offered extra sausage to make up the meal. I accepted that. When my meal came out, the server now tells me they owe me 2 more pieces of corn and they would quickly bring that to me. Guess what - never got them. The two pieces I did get were cold - I mean not fully boiled/cooked. Icy cold inside. Now we were with several other couples and one couple had to ask for their drinks a second time. Fact is their meal came out before their first drinks. I have to also mention the men's rooms. I was clearly hadn't been checked or cleaned in a while. Now let's face it, it got screwed up due to nasty guests, but staff really need to check it every so often. Folks I visit Tybee twice a year and there are plenty of options on the island. I think the Zunibar has lost my future business, as well as the 3 other couples we were with. If you choose here you have been warned. I hope you have a better visit.

They were celebrating Halloween when I visited, so all their drinks were spooky themed. I had screaming robot noises (rum, overproof Jamaican rum, falernum, herbal liqueur, mango syrup, bitters, lime, mint, etc). Described as bold, boozy, and juicy, I enjoyed this one most probably. I also had the feral mutation in the cutest little Gizmo gremlin mug. Mad with rum Agricola blanc, cacao nib-infused cocchi americano, pistachio orgeat, and lime. I was worried this drink would be too chocolatey or sweet, but it was more earthy and very subtle. The verdant veil: tequila, cachaca, falernum, aloe, pandan (interesting Thai ingredient that I wasn't super familiar with), acid-adjusted strawberry, boba, and mint. I had a clarified milk punch made with Froot Loops called "Frootian Rings," which was super funky and nostalgic. I had a baked pretzel as a snack, made with a superb spicy mango salsa. It really hit the spot. Bites here are just bar snacks, like nuts and chips. They have a huge menu with something for everyone. Matt was my bartender and he was awesome!
