I assumed that's just what the insurer was charging based on actuaries, Then I got the contract, they charged me $110 for the actual insurance policy and then slapped on an agency fee of $150. That's just too steep, especially after I called around and found out how much others were charging. It feels like blatant price gouging, taking advantage of the current crisis situation. It's frustrating to see such excessive fees when you're already dealing with the stress of finding a safe place to live during these wildfires.
