Amazingly, he was able to hire two people. They arrived at the storage place on time and were ready to start. Shamari and Dwayne, were delightful. They even wrapped the sofa with blankets and tape, which the original departing movers did not. Overall, I would totally ask them back to help move. They were great. It was odd though that we had to pay in cash when it was completed. Fortunately, I had that amount of cash on me. They said it was because it went to a storage unit and not a home. Overall, I would use them again.

Several items were damaged or missing, including a king bed, a queen mattress, a dining table base and arm chairs. At first they let me know they were going to resolve the issue but months went by and communication from the company was inconsistent and delayed. They never provided me with a claims process or resolution. Storage charges were also erroneously billed for months after services ended. Despite filing complaints with FDACS, the company has not fully addressed the damages, and I am now pursuing small claims court for reimbursement. I do not recommend Top Notch Movers based on my experience.

Jim called me from our house and did a facetime call a d walked through with his guys and they packed everything in the cabinets , the dishes , our clothes , and everything. They moved everything out and put in a storage unit. He mailed me the keys to the unit and attached a nice thank you note. Makes us feel appreciated as a customer. He is more polished than your average mover and just an all around good guy with good workers and a good company.

Southwest Van Lines moved boxes and a few pieces of furniture from CA to NE. At the pickup site I…read morewas charged $500 extra stating my things took up more room than the estimate even though I had 10 fewer boxes and 2 less pieces of furniture. In NE only 127 of the 141 boxes loaded in CA were delivered. Most of the boxes were crushed and smashed and damp!! Many things were broken. I also had 10 plastic bins and two of them had water in the bottom of the bin and in another two, my things were moldy. I asked how my things got wet and they stated that it happens sometimes. I paid thousands of dollars for the move and my things were lost, left where they got wet and mishandled to the point where boxes were smashed and things inside broken. Southwest stated they cannot locate my missing boxes and also said that they move hundreds of boxes and sometimes boxes are lost. What a bad response from a company where moving boxes and furniture is their business!! Southwest states all that can be done now is for me to file a claim. When I looked into filing a claim I was shocked to read what I, as the customer, must have to prove the value of my things. There are so many negative things out there about movers and now I can vouch for all those negative comments because I have experienced price gouging, damaged and wet boxes and slow delivery (20 business days - they delivered on a Sunday!!). The movers insisted that they delivered all my boxes but they DID NOT and everyday I come across something else that I don't have. What a horrible experience! It was a barely lived/not much stuff rental property, 2 bedroom condo, and after nearly 4 hours, they still hadn't finished loading the truck. The only person that spoke English was the driver, and he wasn't helping much. Apparently, the couldn't figure out how to disassemble a very standard bed (I have photos). Sergio sent another crew member at his cost, which was greatly appreciated because we still had to move from Jupiter to Wellington. The men were polite, but I noticed after the furniture was scuffed, the walls were scuffed... they were beyond slow. The price was affordable and reasonable considering the service with three men and the travel, etc. Then, a few months ago, I needed a mattress moved. I called them again and we had a pleasant experience, literally moving one mattress 2 miles down road. While I hadn't loved the initial service I received, I found myself in a time crunch so, against my better judgment, I called Sergio again. There isn't much to move and the "difficult" bed was not one of the items. I called on a Sunday and explained I needed to coordinate the move with a friend coming in from out of town to take some of the furniture. The 3 of us agreed to the next Sunday, and Sergio instructed me to text him photos of the items, which I did on Monday. Having not heard back, I called him again. As we went to confirm, we realized Sunday was Easter and it couldn't be done. He had a slot for Friday, so we asked him to hold it until my friend got clearance to take off work. Later that night, at 8:23, I texted Sergio the confirmation as it was my understanding it was a business phone; each text has a signature line that says "Big Star Moving". I also called and left a voicemail. He replied back that he was in a family meeting and to call back tomorrow. I said thank you, I was just confirming. I have the screenshots. The next morning, Sergio texted me about his "special rates" and that after the base, it would be $20 for each 15 min increment. I expressed my surprise at the cost and told him honestly, his movers are VERY slow. At this point, Sergio became enraged and offended. He accused me of being upset because he didn't answer at night (screenshots will he provided if possible). I told him the cost was fine, I just needed to get it done, and he refused unless I brought a quote to him from another moving company. At this point, I called him. He'd initially told me he could schedule me for Sunday and it's not really my fault he didn't properly look at his calendar. His lack of diligence caused a huge upset in our plans, but we adjusted. I told him that my friend and I are of different beliefs and didn't know it was Easter; but he should have. I told him I'd pay up front but he refused and gave me a lecture on how you can't buy respect. That's fine Sergio, you also can't buy away a negative review. By the way, in less than 45 min, I found a company that beat his price. Spare yourself the headache and avoid this rinky dink sh*t show. You can do better. *please note that on Sunday, April 5th, Sergio booked us, not realizing HIMSELF it was Easter. The only reason I was insistent on getting it done with them was because my friend had already made arrangements and I was afraid another company wouldn't have the new time available.
