What a great way to start the day! We came here two days in a row. Tried the cinnamon rolls, The cinnamon chip scones, the peppermint parfait and many other fudgy brownie bars. We loved everything! It was fresh and delicious.

I've been trying to get here for about three summers now. They sell out quickly in the summer. Thank goodness for us this is a slow week down the shore and still preseason so we were able to get some buns yesterday! The shop is cute, super clean and stocked with buns and other sweet treats! We got a cinnamon bun, a piece of crumb cake, a maple bacon sticky bun and an apple crumb sticky bun. Everything was good! The cinnamon bun was my favorite followed by the crumb cake, apple crumb sticky bun and then the regular sticky bun, in that order. We will try to get there again at some point this summer!

Every year I must stop for breakfast at Barry's Buns after Jeep invasion! The cinnamon buns and sticky buns are beyond compare. The crumb cake and Jewish apple cake are delicious too. As a JWU family we are proud to patronize another Wildcat success!

Finally made it! First off be sure to make sure you have the correct location. This one is open 7 days a week. The other is only only Thursday- Saturday. So much to pick from I wasn't sure where to start. I am not a fan of cream cheese icing but thankfully there were several without. The buns were soft, gooey and not too sweet. My family tried the iced ones and loved! They were reasonable 6 for $15. The cup of mini buns was a bit much $5. They also have many other baked goods. I had tried the babka before and wanted one to take home. They did not have any out but the man working brought one from the back and iced it right in front of me. Customer service was top notch.

Maple bacon, walnut and "plain" were the ones we tried and delicious !!

Wow. Amazing all around. The staff was very friendly and had us wait outside after placing our order (they called our name). We also received the cinnamon buns right away but just had to wait for the sandwich, which came out freshly hot. It is a smaller place filled with great vibes. We really enjoyed this experience overall, as it was our first visit. They had multiple types of cinnamon buns: everything from maple bacon to walnut and more. They had an entire case of sweets to choose from also. The waffle breakfast sandwich was delicious, as were the cinnamon buns. Thank you.

RATING: 3.5 Stopped by here after passing it for breakfast and seeing a line. We were excited to see what we could try! So many options (see pictures) but we decided to go with two classics - cinnamon buns and sticky buns. They were good! Were they the best we've ever had? No. But would we go back because they were still good? Yes! We brought both home and following the warming directions on the to-go box so the icing was nice and melted and the buns were nice and warm. I never thought I'd say this, but the cinnamon bun had a bit too much icing on it. It was drowned in it to a point where I was wiping some off on the plate. Again, never thought I'd say that but it took away from the taste of the bun! We liked the sticky buns better, but we are definitely going to be back and try more of their options.

This is an incredible addition to Wildwood Crest! My parents have had some goodies from Barry's in the spring, so I was excited to try them when I came down for the summer. Definitely get here early to have the best selection of delicious treats. For Father's Day breakfast, my family and I ordered the walnut sticky buns, sticky buns with cream cheese frosting and the chocolate babka. The babka would be a great treat to bring to a potluck or for a housewarming gift- so tasty and it lasts for a long time in an air tight container. Sticky buns are phenomenal with a little zap in the microwave too. Will definitely be back to sample some more treats in the future.

Barry's Buns has another profit center by imposing a 4% credit card fee. They don't disclose the fee anywhere.

Ask the Community - Barry's Buns

Can anyone tell me if the baking is done on the premises in the Wildwood Crest location?

Yes all baking is done on premises. We bake in small batches to preserve quality thus us selling out so fast. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Are the hours the same during Covid-19?

The bourse location has been closed since March. We are hoping to open back up soon. Our shop in chestnut hill is still open with almost the same hours. We just close at 4 on Thursday and Saturday.

It happened to me a few summers ago until I learned my lesson that some people lined up at 6:30- 7 o'clock in the morning. I take my chances at 8 o'clock but if I'm in the mood for a traditional white cream filled donut I get in line before 7 AM. They are creme doughnuts like the ones you had growing up in the 60s and 70s. Filled. Their corn fritters are to die for. Their sticky buns are very good. They are so good that I told the owner a couple of summers ago that she can't close until I die. LOL.

Somewhat limited non-caffeine options, but not none. The smoothies do not come with milk, they are just syrup and ice blended up. Most of the staff are quite nice. The cashier was unhelpful when I had an issue with my drink, but it was resolved by the manager swiftly and without complaint. Considering the possibility of rotating staff (and the cashiers young age) I'd say such an experience does not look poorly upon the establishment. Rather, the way management handled the issue looks favorably on them. We did not get ice cream so I cannot comment on it. It was expensive, and perhaps overpriced. However, this is wildwood in the summer, so everything is expensive. For those curious, I got the 4 Berry smoothie, which I was expecting to contain fruit and a dairy product. Instead it was ice and syrup. I tried to reach a resolution with the cashier by explaining the issue and asking for an alternative drink. The cashier declined and said I'd have to purchase a replacement. I stepped aside so I wouldn't hinder other customers and asked another staff member if a manager was present. They were, and when I explained my issue and we reached a resolution where part of my drink would be poured out and replaced by milk (I honestly didn't want to chance a different drink). By replacing 1/4 of the drink with milk, it improved the drink tremendously. The management also offered to make a new drink if I didn't like it, but I did so all is well. Overall: good experience, excellent food, great coffee, decent non-coffee options, possibly overpriced.

They have awesome cappuccinos & iced drinks as well as smoothies. Flavor shots are also available for preferred favs. Their frozen lemonades seem to be a pool/beach favorite as I see many of them being ordered. The prices are Coffee House (vs chain or fast service) level but the quality is worth it in my opinion. Now back to the sandwiches, I ordered one of the paninis of the day. It was Turkey, bacon & avocado. It was available on sourdough or multigrain with mayo or mustard. I love that options are offered not only because I have bread & condiment preferences but because you know it's being made fresh! The sandwich was delicious! The bread was bakery quality & all was beyond fresh & tasty.
