They don't have seating, but there are benches along the boardwalk if you want to eat them close by. I have not had a donut here I didn't like! My favorite flavor is monkey buns. If you like cinnamon, you will love this one! You can also build your own if you don't like any of their pre-designed options. In the height of the summer season, it can get busy so I would suggest ordering online in advance. That way you can beat the line! Stopped here on my latest trip to Cape May after seeing them on Instagram. Had to drive to North Wildwood but it was worth the trip. The donuts are made to order which is awesome lol. I ended up getting a dozen and they were all very good. Honestly was one of the best jelly donuts I ever had. I wasn't sure by the look of it but it was great. The French toast and cinnamon roll donuts were great. The box was steaming when I got it and they were great fresh. A must visit when you are in the Wildwoods. They have excellent coffees and made to order hot donuts with seemingly endless topping combinations. My only gripe is that you will wait on a slow long line to place your order, then wait again in the pickup area to be made. In my opinion the best place to get donuts in Wildwood. These donuts are hot, cakey, and delicious. There's a wide variety to pick from and they're all awesome. The donuts are always a hit with everyone when I bring in a box to work. I like to order my donuts online to pick them up the next morning, that way I can skip the line and get in and out quickly. Nothing beats fresh and hot baked donuts! The 1st time my family and I had fractured prune is in Ocean City, MD and it was amazingly delicious so when we saw it while on the boardwalk, we had to place an order. The cashier was very friendly and the service was quick. Soon we were stuffing our faces with some delicious chocolaty hot donuts. I order their ice cold vanilla ice coffee and it was so good to drink especially on a hot summer day and with fresh donuts. Sadly, their last day of operation is Labor Day and they will reopen next Memorial Day but I'm glad I got my donut fix cravings out of the way....at least for now. read more

The Fractured Prune reminds us that most treats are better served HOT. All of their donuts are made to order, fresh out of the fryer, with toppings freshly applied. Ideal! We came past around 8:30 in the morning. Parking on the street was pretty easy and affordable. ($2ish an hour.) There were signs alerting us to the fact that they would not be serving breakfast sandwiches due to the "labor shortage." (Eyeroll inducing, but fairly standard up and down the boardwalk this year.) I ordered the special donut of the day.... blueberry streusel. It was a blueberry glaze with the sort of streusel you would get on an entemann's donut. My husband got the death by chocolate donut... chocolate glaze, chocolate chips, chocolate sprinkles, and oreo bits. I thought the death by chocolate worked better than the blueberry one, but both were good. Like I said, donuts straight from the fryer over all. I also got a specialty latte! The toasted toffee which has toffee and chocolate syrup. Really yummy! I highly recommend reading the story of how their name came to be. Ms. Prunella was a boss bitch! read more

When I heard that Wildwood was getting a Fractured Prune, I was pumped and could not wait to try it. So over the weekend I made a point to get down the shore for their "Grand Opening." While the Grand Opening was a bit of a bust- bad weather, the donuts were DELICIOUS! I tried a few of the classics- my favorites included the strawberry & OC Sand, and some of their featured donuts like the hot chocolate. In addition to their board of classics and daily specials, FP also allows customers to make their own donut creation. The service here is friendly, but slow. They make each donut fresh, and add the toppings one at a time by hand. So while it's slow, the warm donut is totally worth the wait. A few other things to note, there is $10 minimum on cards, they accept call ahead orders, you can order a donut with a scoop of ice cream & in addition to donuts, they serve specialty drinks, fresh juice and breakfast sandwiches. Fractured Prune's latest location is still in soft-opening mode, but they're already functioning like a well-oiled machine! It was my first time ever trying the local shore chain. I had heard good things over the years about the brand and figured it was due time to check them out since I was staying nearby! I arrived around noon to a small line. It's on an unsuspecting part of the boardwalk but it didn't seem to impact business at all. Park on 21st Street and make a left when you walk onto the boards. It's near the end of the store block. My first instinct was to order a half dozen doughnuts to share. They come hot and made to order, so when you order they give you a card. Mine was the nine of clubs. It only took about five minutes until the friendly staff called my card. Tonight I shared [and enjoyed!] the orange creamsicle, French toast, lemonade, blueberry, and strawberry shortcake. The French toast was my surprise winner. It was incredible! I also loved the blueberry. Good thing I bought two of those!! I'd totally return next time I'm in North Wildwood -- or any of the other shore towns where they have locations, for that matter. To be fair we did not actually get any donuts. I read all the great reviews and planned to go pick some up before my family woke up at Wildwood crest. I didn't realize that they are located on the boardwalk so I would have to pay $15 to park and then walk up to the stand. There was a super long line which only reflects that they must have wonderful donuts, but I wish I had realized it wasn't an easy pick up process. After waiting 30 min in line I decided to bail and went to Brittons bakery which was FABULOUS. read more

I've honestly never heard of this place, but apparently it has quite the following. My boyfriend and I were around the corner, exhausted from bike riding and looking for breakfast that didn't suck, and stumbled upon this place. I had the Seashore Benedict breakfast sandwich, which could've used some more hollandaise, but was good. They used a wheat bagel by default, but I kinda wish you could've picked your bagel; I'm sure I couldn't ask, but I didn't want to be a nuisance on their last day for the season. Come for the donuts, skip the breakfast sandwiches. Donuts are super fresh, totally customizable or choose one of their recipes. They are given to you piping hot! I do recommend that you open the box up so all of your toppings do not melt. The breakfast sandwiches leave a lot to be desired. Not only did we wait 25 minutes for 2 sandwiches, but they were not what we were expecting. One was the Seashore Benedict... the sandwich was so flat, bagel had a weird consistency, and there was no hollandaise sauce at all. With the official start of summer finally here, it was time to finally get some fractured prune in North Wildwood. I was afraid of crowds, so my bf and I made it an early morning and were there when it opened at 7am. We picked a dozen of the pre-concocted combos from the menu (there are 30 or 40 to pick from). It took a few minutes for them to get fresh-dipped, but by 7:10 we had our dozen. These doughnuts are really good. I think my favorites are the fruit-flavored glazes; the flavors are intense and tasty. They also serve donuts with ice cream for a late-night treat. I was really hoping to like them but they just didn't do it for me! The prices seem a little high seeing how small the donuts are, I think we paid close to $15 for a dozen donuts. *I returned to try a breakfast sandwich- maybe I'm spoiled with NY Bagels, but the bagel was dry (just as the donuts were). They serve their donuts hot here, which is something I haven't experienced before! I got the blueberry, which was delicious. It wasn't quite the bright shade of blue I was expecting from the menu, but the glaze looked like authentic blueberry (which in retrospect is a good thing--more natural). The actual donut was nice and crispy on the outside, but soft on the inside. One of the best donuts I've had. If I could give 1/2 a star I would. We gave our order and were told it would be a ten to fifteen minute wait for two breakfast sandwiches, one doughnut, and two coffees. There were approximately two other people waiting ahead of us on a Monday morning. We received our one coffee, and our doughnut for my three-year-old daughter quite quickly. The two people ahead of us came and went. So did the other twenty to twenty-five other people after me. As I stood for at least 35 minutes, in the direct sun (no awning or shade to protect us from the elements), I finished my coffee, watched my daughter finish her doughnut (kudos to my wife for entertaining a 3yr old), and smiled at the lady behind the counter multiple times. Finally I walked over and showed her my playing card and said; "Is my order almost finished? I've been standing here at least a half hour or more." I watched her go to the back, ask the cook about my order, and then get a "oh $hit" look on her face because she realised they messed up. So she comes up to me, asked what I ordered, and then apologized. Finally I get my food with yet another, "sorry 'bout that" and the kicker is I get a few coupons for a free doughnut. Yep a free doughnut to a place that I will NEVER GO BACK TO! They could've given some money off of our order of $32.00 for two sandwiches and a doughnut. The Fracture Prune is a made to order donut shop towards the beginning of the boardwalk. The donuts aren't very good they are too sweet and sugary there are much better places on the boardwalk to get a sweet treat and not hate yourself for eating it. The donuts are made to order which also means you are waiting much longer than you would for any other treat on the boardwalk. I've been to other made to order donut shops like this and Fracture Prune was probably my least favorite of the bunch. read more
