    Seafood Mac and Cheese
    Jaime E.

Stopped here on our way home from picking flowers at Hudson Wildflower Co. My date LOVED the seafood Mac and Cheese, and great selection of local beers. I had the Surf and Turf with scallops and mashed potatoes (broccoli). Very good! We ended with the decadent hot chocolate brownie sundae! So good. We shouldn't have. But we did. We sat outside on their lovely patio. Very romantic. We'll be back when we're up this way again.

Moved into the town and this was the first Resturant I went to with one of my girls. I kid you not, I ordered a pork chop and to this day i haven't tasted one pork chop that can come close to this one. Ah, it was so juicy, the mustard reduction was just chef's kiss. And the "pink lady" was the cherry on top. Local friendly staff, great atmosphere. My only regret is that I haven't been back yet.

The service at Brix was very attentive, constantly checking on enjoyment of the food, plus getting finished plates and refills. Nice to have great service rather than other places where they are indifferent and just tip hunting. Raspberry peach lemonade was amazing, just sweet enough and fresh, no artificial taste or syrup fusion. Appreciated that they don't charge refills on it. The lobster roll, definitely not cheap on portions of it, plus well buttered and seasoned. The brioche bun was toasted right and kept warm and pillowy soft. One of better lobster rolls I ever had, actual effort to dress it rather butter and it's done. For the truffle parm fries, we're great but if tossed with butter then tossed with parm and truffle would produced a better product then just dump on top. Definitely want to try the dinner menu on another visit and get full experience

Honestly... 4.5 would be fair. Wanted a solid place to eat after visiting a local winery. This place was perfect for that. The food was good, service was lovely and I would certainly return there frequently if I were local. We had the bang bang shrimp (slightly salty... Maybe the breading??...) but flavorful and the shrimp were cooked perfectly. And the funnel cake was slightly over fried. The seafood Mac and cheese alone is worth the visit, the wings were great and my cannoli was perfectly fresh. I wish the business pure success. Thanks for making our day trip out of the city a nice time!

FYI, hours on Yelp aren't accurate. They are open on Tuesday's. Warm and inviting bar and restaurant. Big fan of the peach habanero wings. On a scale for heat, I'd say they are a 5; enjoyable for those that don't like spice. They are very tasty and flavorful. For my main course, I ordered the shrimp and grits, but it wasn't your typical presentation. I couldn't figure out how the grits were prepared but they were a cube under the shrimp. Turns out they were pre made and then cut into squares/cubes and then deep fried.

First things first. This was the first restaurant in three years who actually cooked the French fries the way I asked for the. I asked for burnt, not well done but slightly burnt and they delivered them. Perfectly! The place was very quiet when we got there. Which probably had something to do with showing up around four. The staff was friendly and greeted us as we walked in. But they looked surprised like they were not opened yet so I asked. The bartender said yes and told us to sit in one of the small two top tables. Which for me are too small if you're looking to eat a meal. She then said oh just sit anywhere take one of the bigger tables if you would like more room and we did. I order a beer my wife a Martini with blue cheese stuffed olives. The beer was fine and the martini was chilled but could have been a bit colder. The food was great. I had the flank steak sandwich and my wife hade a salad with grilled chicken. Everything was delicious and again perfectly seasoned. Not overly salty like many places tend to season. It's a nice place, cozy. Friendly and gives off a vibe like it's run by a family. I like that. I guess my only complaint is the martini should have been colder. But I'm not picking.

More recently, a coworker of mine mentioned she had dined here. Hubs and I had just finished with a gender reveal party in Stony Point and decided to come here then afterwards head up home. Ship L. has a warm, woodsy charm with dark woods, a large bar area to the right as you enter. This place has a spacious dining area on the left with an old-school energy that feels just right for a long-standing rest'nt like this one. Service was great from everyone: friendly, attentive and welcoming all around. That said, awesome service and history can only carry a restaurant but so far. We were told their long-standing chef of 30+ yrs either resigned(?) or didn't want to work here(?) and based on what my coworker told me- that she noticed a difference in the cooking not too long ago when she came here. Sadly, it shows. Our escargots were extremely salty. My husband's pork chop was salty. His vegetables also salty. At that point, I held out hope that my Chilean sea bass might at least redeem the evening. No such luck. Salty again. Even the mushroom risotto- which actually had delicious flavor, was overpowered by too much salt. By then, after one appetizer and two entrées all salty, we figured dessert would at least save the night. Nope. I ordered profiteroles with chocolate gelato instead of vanilla and was truly looking forward to them. Except, the profiteroles were rock hard. The chocolate drizzle tasted like Hershey's syrup, making the dessert taste cheap for a restaurant of this type. My husband, who always goes for sorbet, ordered the mango flavor- but to me it tasted like an unripe mango blended with sugar just to make it palatable.. If you're from the Caribbean or know a true mango taste, you know exactly what I mean. And don't even get me started on the cocktails- they tasted more like juice than actual drinks. At the end of the night, we realized we weren't imagining things. A $245 dinner with weak cocktails, overly salty food and disappointing desserts was no balance for a restaurant with such a long-standing history. For that reason... we out.

I wanted to make this memorable for all of us. Enter, Danny's Table. This little gem in the Village of Fishkill met every expectation and exceeded them. We took an early dining hour and were seated immediately by Arnoldo, the host, who checked often to assure that we were comfortable and satisfied. We were expertly served by two waitresses, Nayeli and Dyan. And then came the delicious food. The appetizers were so good that I forgot to take pictures of the entrees. I had it all. Great food, great service, and the excellent company I brought with me was already in the bag. I don't know how they could have achieved this level of excellent service and fine dining when they have only been open since September, 2025, but wow! I can only assure you that my siblings and I will be back. And, we will be back soon!

Restaurant is in a space…read morethat's had a lot of turnover through the years, but reviews were good and it looked updated. Sat at the bar and ordered a strawberry mojito. Fresh strawberries and mint were nice to see, but there was hardly any alcohol in the drink and the straw was far too narrow to be able to take a sip without it becoming obstructed. Poured woefully short as well, topped with even more ice and seltzer. Had the tempura shrimp to start. Generous portion, well seasoned. Slightly rubbery but not detracting from the dish. Aioli was great, but could have used a little more. Chili sauce was also good, but could barely get any in the ramekin it was in. Bacon cheeseburger with mushroom for my main followed. Looking back, there was actually NO bacon on the burger. Not sure if the kitchen overlooked it, or what. $4 for added mushrooms seemed a bit exorbitant at first, but they were oyster mushrooms. Fries were crisp and wonderfully seasoned. Ordered the burger medium - came out medium and juicy.... But absolutely flavorless. If their head chef loved salt like their fry cook, this burger would have been spectacular. The mushrooms never got to drive off extra water because of the lack of salt, and the meat just fell flat without seasoning. I wanted to love this burger, but I just couldn't no matter how hard I tried. Had the crack pie, advertised to be similar to Monofuku Milk Bar... for someone who had crack pie multiple times before it became the phenomena it is now, this falls short, by a lot. The chess pie filling is far too dense, lacking caramelization. The pie crust was undercooked and anemic. Sugar decoration on top added zero value to the dessert, and coconut ice cream is far too competitive a flavor to put against this dessert. Sauces on the plate were weak and boring eye service. Paid my $80 bill, tipped (even though the bartender was rarely seen or asking how things were), and headed out. For a quiet weekday, the service and quality of food were severely underwhelming.
