Dragon Fire Chicken
Meghan N.

I really want to like this place. I am gong to put it on our list of places to check out this summer. I went today for a work lunch. The good: Atmosphere, it has a cool vibe, restaurant and bar, but not overly loud. Service/staff, awesome. We had a reservation for an upstairs room. When we arrived, they we're going to seat us downstairs, but the manager was great about moving our party upstairs. Even though it was extra work for our server, she did an amazing job and we didn't feel forgotten. The fries, seriously some of the best fries I've ever eaten. They reminded me of the twisty fried potato on a stick from the fair. The onion straws, not overly battered or greasy. The okay: The fresh brewed tea, a little under brewed but not bad. The house made chips, tasty. But slightly over cooked for my preference. The not so good: I ordered the dragon fire chicken, it had great potential, but I was disappointed. The dragon fire sauce tasted just like Buffalo sauce, nothing special. The chicken breast was over cooked and dry. The rice was under cooked. Everything but the rice was edible, but not great. I'd give it another try though because it does have the potential to be good. My co-worker ordered the salmon, which she wanted medium to medium-well, it came out well done and dry. They were very gracious about it, and she ordered a Reuben instead, which she loved. Pretty much everyone else ordered various quesadillas. Their plates were all empty, so I think they whites them. Overall it was a good experience, but two over cooked proteins knocks them down a few notches. I'll update if we visit again.

Divey. Friendly. Laid back. Local vibes. I liked my cider and the bbq quesadilla was a solid B+. Would I go back? Possibly. If you want a place to kickback, this place will be an okay option. Definitely casual.

I always enjoy hanging out at and eating at Brixx! The ambiance is like a cool sports bar with pretty good food. It can get super crazy in the summer time before/after Dragons games so just be cautious but even then it's a cool atmosphere. They have a full bar, lots of local beers on tap and friendly bartenders. For food, they have some great choices. The "famous" chili is delicious and I especially enjoy the pulled pork sandwich. I've also had the Rueben and it was fantastic! If you're looking for a cool spot to hang out, grab a beer/drink and some good food you can't go wrong with Brixx!

Brixx Giant Soft Pretzel

After my partner and I realized Tanks was closed we were on Yelp looking for another place to get burgers on a Monday night. I am glad we settled on Brixx. Our server was super friendly and personable 10/10 experience. We ordered the giant soft pretzel and while she was expensive ~$14, she was extremely tasty. The giant pretzel is actually giant, it comes with three sauces and you definitely need more than two people to eat it all. I got the bourbon burger for an entree and it was very good, I enjoyed the whole meal AND it turned out they have trivia on Mondays. All in all good time and I will be back for sure!

Came to Brixx for a drink and absolutely loved it. The inside was your classic dive bar, and they have a great outdoor patio. We ordered gin gimlets and they were delicious, and we enjoyed them with a view of the ballpark across the street. The service was very timely and great, they attended to us within minutes of sitting down and checked on us often. If you're looking for a pre or post game drink, this is the place to go!

Second time around at Brixx and a better experience than the first time. Adding a star this time as we had a great time. Appetizers and drinks before a Dragons game and the giant pretzel is a must but bring an appetite. The quesadilla was good as well and a good shareable. Service was quick and our waitress was great!

Queso (amazing!) and chips.

Excellent experience! Patio dining before a Dayton Dragons game. Best Queso in Dayton and the quesadilla was perfection! Service was outstanding with attentive and friendly wait staff.

2 fro lunch today. I ordered the Rueben with sweet potato fries. My wife ordered the mushroom Swiss burger also with sweet potato fries and asked that it be cooked medium. The Reuben was made with lean pastrami, toasted rye, 1000 island dressing and sauerkraut. We cut them in 1/2 and shared.. We both agreed that the burger beat the Rueben, even though the Reuben was delish! The sweet potato fries were a bit under done, and that's the only thing that wasn't great. I'd recommend Brixx for chow, it's worthy 3 of us ate lunch here today. I had the meandering orange salad. A nice mix of greens, onions, cucumber, and dry chow main noodles. It came with an interesting Asian sauce. Bourbon burger without onions. Came with onions but once the onions were removed a good burger, with great flavor. Brixx balsamic salad. A different mix of greens topped with grilled chicken. It came with a basaltic dressing. With white chili chicken soup - buttery and just delish. I'd recommend this place, yummy food at a good p

We came here based on the recommendation of friends before a Dragons game. We came early expecting a crowd. The line was to the door but amazingly we got seated upstairs right away. There are pros and cons to being upstairs. The pro is that we had an awesome view. The con is that there is absolutely no shade on the windows so we had to wear sunglasses and my back was burning up! Our server (I tried to remember his name, Sammy? Young, nice kid) was fast and even with a heavy crowd kept on top of drinks. Speaking of drinks, the beer only comes in small plastic cups or bottles, so don't think you're going to get a tall anything. I get it, they don't want people getting tables then walking to the game. The food was really good. We started with Mac and cheese bites served with marinara sauce. They were just ok, flavor seem bland to me but they all got eaten. BF got an Italian Sub and I got the Cuban. It was REALLY REALLY good! Would I come back? Most definitely. Fun atmosphere, nice people, decent food and good location!

Went there a lot when I worked downtown, wide variety of food options, all of them are solid. The pulled pork sandwiches are a must-have.

Ice cold beer! The fish and chips were fantastic! Their fries are a unique spiral cut (not curly) and are yummy!! Local to hotels.

Not only were the wings great my wife's wrap was awesome. In addition, the service here was fantastic. We are from out of town but came to Dayton to buy a car. The pub fits right into the neighborhood's character -- lively, full of personality, and steeped in history. Inside, the atmosphere is pure rock 'n roll: casual, energetic, and welcoming. I tried their famed pickle soup, which was cream‑based and reminded me of broccoli and cream soup, with just a subtle pickle flavor that wasn't overpowering. It was okay, but the real standout was the IPA collaboration with Toxic Brewing, a neighboring brewery -- crisp, flavorful, and very good. Nicole had a burger and enjoyed it alongside two of those same Toxic Brewing IPAs (I don't recall the name, but they were excellent). Our host was friendly, service was quick, and judging by the tables around us, everyone else seemed to be enjoying their grub too. A colleague from work joined us and generously picked up the tab, which made the visit even more memorable. Blind Bob's is a fun stop in the Oregon District -- great local beer, unique menu items, and a rock 'n roll vibe that matches the historic setting.

We met our kids in Dayton, which is about a halfway point for us each, for lunch this Saturday. We'd been wanting a good burger so I started looking for options and when I saw this place it was a no brainer. Slyders did not disappoint! The burgers are done on a flat top that's probably been in their kitchen since they opened in 1948. Talk about flavor!! The burger is good quality, tender, and full of great beef flavor, cranked out on that flat top to a crispy brown exterior. Great fresh tomato, lettuce, onion, pickles and cheese make this burger oh so good!! Add a basket of perfectly fried HUGE onion rings and a cold beer, there's nothing better!! Top top it off the service was incredible. We had 3 or 4 guys stopping by checking on drinks, napkins, ect... The energy in this bar was comfortable and you felt like you were a "regular" even if you'd never stepped in the door before in your life. With big bear hugs and handshakes we left full of great food and a warm soul. Slyders is going on my "ride for a burger" list this summer on the bikes. It'll be well worth 2hr ride to get there!! .
