The food is very good; I get the chicken noodle soup, the crispy Chicken Salad with raspberry vinaigrette, the chicken tenders and the pretzel sticks with beer cheese. My husband's favorite is the wings and the breaded mushrooms. Service is great; since we're there so often, most of the servers know us and greet us by name. The ambience is quite fun: lots of humerous signs, high tables, low tables and booths. We're not fond of the two-top tables: they're so wide it's like sitting on opposite sides of an aircraft carrier! We were staying close by in a hotel and decided to give Roosters a try. This place was hopping with the bar full so we waited shortly for a table. Staff was friendly and attentive. With the full house it was a little on the loud side but not too bad. Started with fried pickles and buffalo cauliflower with both coming out hot and packed with flavor. Decided to give their wings a try and glad I did. The wings were very flavorful and they do not skimp on size as some other wing places, these were some big wings! I also liked it with the side of blue cheese. The fries were good. Our five and one year old split a kids corn dog meal and for $4.99 price it was great and it filled them both up! I've eaten at a lot of restaurants. I usually get the Sweet Thai sauce, but all the sauces are really good. You can also mix the sauces like Garlic-Thai, Buffalo-Garlic, etc . . . The food is usually decent. It's not fine dining, but that's not why you go here. Apparently they're "pounding" the chicken now. That would explain the chicken fingers being super thin, therefore super tough. That's the first time I've had that experience, but a woman at another table was complaining about how thin the chicken on her salad was. Which brings us to Will. Nice guy, super friendly, loves to whistle (seriously. You can hear him wherever he goes). And he must be new. Or close. I'd been seated a couple of minutes when someone else stopped by to tell me Will was on his way. He finally got there and someone else eventually brought my drink. (There were people there, but I've seen it WAY busier, so that wasn't it.) He took my order and someone else brought the food, which made me think it might be hot. He had to have walked by the table a dozen times and NEVER stopped to ask how the food was or if I needed anything. Well, he did eventually get a drink refill taken care of. But. The fries were lukewarm when I got them and became cold quickly. I would have asked for new ones, but he kind of disappeared. Could I have flagged him down? Absolutely. I probably should have. I would like to give 4 1/2 stars but that's not an option and opting to give just 4 stars would not be fair. We visited this branch on 5/5/23 which was a Friday at around 6pm. My party consisted of two adults (well age wise) and three children ages 12,10 and 7. Although hopefully my 12 year old daughter doesn't find out I limped her in under the "children" category, if so I'm sure there will be a rebellious tattoo in her future. I digress. We did not have to wait very long at all, less than 5 minutes, which was great considering the place was relatively busy. We had a small wait for our initial drink order but it was nothing uncomfortable or frustrating. I san not remember the waitress's name and I apologize for that but she was nice and attentive. The reasoning for wanting to deduct a half of a star is due to her overuse of greetings like "baby, dear, darling" etc. I suppose that's because I'm just not particularly fond of people doing that. Also, since we had five people in our party it gets almost comical to hear it repeated so frequently. Honestly the food was delicious and arrived in quite a timely manner. I would recommend the chicken wrap or the wings. As a side their fries were rather crisp and I could have just ate those as a meal, which my youngest son did. Price wise I'd say it's about average and after tip our bill was approximately $86. Which I felt as though was reasonable. Our order contained; boneless wings, chicken wrap, fries, some tater tot thing (which was yummy) a beer and a few pops. All of which were spot on. The cleanliness of the restaurant was what you would expect and I had no concerns. The only other gripe I have is with the hostess, although it is a rather small complaint. I could not hear something she said, because I'm old as hell, and I asked her to repeat herself by saying "sorry, what was that". When she responded she appeared to have a semi disgruntled look on her face, or a look of annoyance. Although reading an appearance is subject and she was rather young so there's no real fault there. Dropped in after updating my phone next door, and it was after 1 pm on a Thursday, and the place was pretty packed with a waiting line it seemed. Being a single, I opted for the bar, and asked if I could sit at a 2- seater in the bar area, and was told that was fine. It was NCAA Basketball week, with all the best schools in play, and Is been so busy, it had slipped my mind. This is a serious event in Dayton, so I hope I'm forgiven. Despite that, ordered my standard favorites from long ago when I used to visit the Centerville location with friends. Red white and blue...or red white and boom... she knew what I meant, the red, bacon and blue salad! She didn't ask about dressing but it came on the side. I also ordered the 5 or 6 wrong size wings, traditional, mild on sauce since I'm not sure I'm ready for regular heat yet the salad is usually large, and as I looked at what I received, I thought I must have forgotten to tell her, but nope, the receipt said half- size. And as I'm remembering now, I think I used to order it with blue cheese dressing but the vinagrette it came with was good, too. The wings were hot and delicious, best ever, and this was with a full house. Granted they're good at this, but they were perfect. I remember a friend used to always wipe some of the sauce off his, but I roll them in both blue cheese and ranch dressings, both extra charges, but the blue cheese comes with the celery side option, which I get. I think they were 89 cents, including celery, and 79 cents for a small thing of ranch. Pricy overall, really, but watching prices going up everywhere, maybe not so much. The 5 wings were about $7.79 at lunchtime. I think it's the same menu at dinnertime. I never have ordered anything else, but always found the ambience very friendly and hope this Beavercreek location continues in that vein. Sorry, no pictures.
