Out of town and found this place. At first my mom and I were like let's get some pizza it looks good online. We went in and got sat right away, service was great. Ordered just recently from South Park tavern over the phone to call in and received quick and good service to get my pizza in around 20 minutes or so... no complaints there. Pizza was really good got the ultimate pepperoni, definitely had lots of pepperoni, had some above and below the cheese... crust wasn't too fluffy or too thin somewhere in between. Got dinner with a friend after they rented and raved about the sandwiches at South Park and I have to say they lived up to the hype. I got the cubano sandwich and it was super flavorful, definitely hit the spot for me. They also have a deal on one topping pizzas on Mondays so I will have to come back. True Score- 4.08/5 Stars South Park Tavern is probably my favorite restaurant right now. Is it my highest rated? Food, yeah, overall, no. However, this is a PERFECT weeknight pizza and wings joint to enjoy some company and smash some E X C E L L E N T food. Food: This is the first 1/1 I have ever given. The pizza is genuinely probably the best pizza I have ever had. The selection of creative flavors is large, and the freshness is impeccable. It is abundantly clear the pizzas are made with fine ingredients, and that the wings are made with home-made sauces of the highest quality. The wings are average sized, and pretty meaty with little fat. The pizzas, however, are to die for. I have had the Italian, the Hawaiian, and most recently, the Gyro Pizza. The Gyro pizza is without a doubt the best I have ever had, with the other 2 up there in that same conversation. Also, a good selection of quality craft beers and sodas. Price: Pricing is fine. The wings are a tad pricy at 9 bucks per 6 wings, but the quality makes that alright. Pizza is also pretty average priced, I believe around 22 bucks for a Large. However, Mondays are the day to go, with pizzas being half priced! I do find the price of beer here a bit high. Service: Service is probably the worst aspect. The waitstaff is super chill and personable, however, I can just tell that a busy night here would result in bad service. On slow nights, the food can take a while, and so can visits from the waiter, but its okay. Its never bad. It just isnt great. Facilities: First and foremost, this is a tavern. This is not a fine dining restaurant style establishment. Theres some booths, a patio, and a few tables and a bar. Very informal tavern style restaurant. No problem there. And, for what it is, they keep it very clean! Satisfied?: Overall, very satisfied with this place. Best pizza I have ever had, and the wings are personally in my top 3 due to the sauce alone. In my opinion, Monday night is the only night to come, but really, I could probably eat here multiple times a week. I STRONGLY suggest everybody eats here. We of course ordered pizza. Our server, Ivan, was awesome. Allowed alterations, helped us pick beer, and had an awesome attitude. Both beers good after some sampling. Pizza very good. Well, most times we've been there it's been probably a 3-1/2 or 4 but this time it was a 1 or a 2. We ordered takeout. They said it would be 45 minutes (which I thought was sort of long but we waited) and when got there they told us 'it would be another 10 minutes which ended up being actually 20 minutes. The food we ordered for the kids was horrible. The chicken fries actually looked like they were placed in a dehydrator and tasted like dried up cardboard (no flavor and hard) as did the fries. The salads were OK. The wings were a little spicy but flavorful and the salmon was just ok...but those chicken fries were absolutely horrible and should not even be sold. If they weren't seriously overcooked that particular time and that is what they normally taste like, they should not even serve them. On a side note, on another occasion, we ate in and multiple people (including children) were going in and out of the kitchen which was a little concerning. They've never been my favorite but my husband likes going there but I think even he is ready to give them a break. read more

We were instantly greeted by this cool cat named Weston! He was handling the entire bar & the rest of the restaurant all by himself... and killing it I might add! We started our lunch off with some tasty Loaded Tavern Fries & a bada$$ Root Beer that was straight from the tap. We then crushed the South Park Signature Sub like it was our job! Got pizza here with friends tonight and it was a disaster. They weren't very busy when we first got here but it took them 2 hours to make our 3 pizzas and didn't even offer a discount for the poor service. Stopped in South Park Tavern yesterday evening for a beer and a sandwich. Started off with ordering from Kelli, the barkeep, a Warped Wing Trotwood (light lager). A nicely balanced bitter. Next ordered a pint of Genesee Bock beer. Nice malty bock, tasty. Next ordered up a pint Deschutes Armory XPA, pale ale. Another tasty bitters. Placed an order for South Park Tarvern Special sub, with red pepper relish and dirty chips. Ordered a Southern Tier Tangier, a session IPA. It was tasty with floral notes. By this time my sub was served. It was toasted a bit and juicy good. Excellent! The pepper relish had some heat to it and was an excellent combination with the sub. I thank Kelli for suggesting I try it. My last beer I ordered up for night was a pint of Breckenridge King's Dish (burton ale) - a malty good beer. At this time, Malcolm the manager stopped by to chat. I complemented him on the fabulous tap selection and excellent kitchen. He has a lot of local competition that is keeping on his game. read more

I've been coming here for years and never disappointed. Great craft beer selection. Vast menu and they make their own chip dip which is great. During COVID they have expanded the patio area. Best Pizza in Dayton, and on Monday's it's buy-one-get-one free. My favorite is the Ruben pizza, but the Philly cheesesteak pizza and chicken bbq are also very good. They have a decent patio outside. South Park has the best draft beer selection around, bar none. Typically the 18 taps are flowing with "craft" beers, with "the usuals" being restricted to bottles or cans. If you're not familiar with the Pizza Factory, then prepare to be amazed. The Pizza Factory has THE BEST pizza in town, and this bar serves it. The only downside is that there is a cover on Saturday nights when they have live music. For those of us just wanting a brew, it's a nuisance, but not enough to keep me away. Due to it's popularity, the small parking lot can fill up quickly, but the side street has plenty of space. I have also seen them push people out to the patio for lighting up inside, which is a huge plus. read more

There's a great beer selection of a dozen+ microbrews on draft as mentioned. Oberon 16oz was $5.25 each and the bartender was fine. The recently renovated patio is very cozy. There's wicker metal seating and tables, a high wooden fence, and a few plants. On the patio, the live music provided a great background as friends and I talked. There's also a tabletop hockey game inside here (it has the miniature hockey players controlled by a player's push and pull on metal rods). I entertained myself at grandma's house on one of these as a child. If there were one of these in Cleveland, I'd spend some time and money on it, especially while having a beer with friends. The crowd was mostly punks and hipsters during my only visit. but that may have just been the band playing that night. The place was very well maintained [e.g. no sticky floors]. No frat boys or college kids getting drunk here. Next time I stop by, I'll have to try their pizza. read more
