Dr. Duckett was unprofessional and immature. When I asked what he was checking on blood work for my adult cat who caught a virus from kittens I rescued, Dr. Duckett yelled, "Are you a doctor"! And stormed out of the room. He refused to treat my sick, adult cats and one almost died. I had to rush her to Airport Animal Emergency that same night. Go elsewhere!!! Multiple concerns with this Vet clinic. Our dog had a lump pop up and we were told to watch it without doing anything. It grew quickly and we found out it was cancer. It had gone too long and overcome our pups Body. They also were not thorough with explanation or empathetic to our situation. We had to call them every time for updates on lab results or next steps . They have no advice how to cope or supporting information on how to care for our pup. The pet program also is not worth it. You pay around $40 a month for vet visits, annual vaccines and prevention but when you go in for a visit they just recommend tests to make money and don't give you any information on what actually is causing a health issue or concern. read more

I have been using another Pet Wellness Clinic (off 71st Street and Binford) for my first rescue dog's care for the past couple of years. I've been very pleased with the quality of their care and upfront pricing, so I was equally thrilled when this location opened (in walking distance of my house)! I'd recently taken in a family member's elderly dog who was in poor health. I called and got an appt for my preferred date and time without any wait. My elder dog got a general check-up and exam, and Dr. Peterson was extremely thorough and spent a good amount of time discussing care options with me due to a condition diagnosed in their office. I had also called their office two more times with questions regarding the dog's medication and received immediate answers/resolution. Pet Wellness Clinics may be a chain practice, but I feel that my two beloved dogs get great care here and I recommend them highly to anyone seeking quality vet care with transparent pricing. Broad Ripple Pet Wellness Clinic - My sweet elder girl after her vet visit! - Veterinarians Near Me - Indianapolis, Indiana

I've been a member of this pet wellness clinic for 2 years. Mostly due to location near Broadripple and seemingly caring individuals. My impression has changed over the last two months. My GSD had acquired what was originally diagnosed and treated as "kennel cough" 2 months ago. Since then; we've done 4 rounds of antibiotics, 3 of steroids, 2 chest X-rays and a single culture. It's cost me close to $2,000 and my dog time. I'm now told she's beyond their expertise and am being referred to Purdue. I've voiced concerns multiple times; especially when visiting again and again or when being charged two separate times $300+ for a chest X-ray. When asking why they charge human fees to only have the veterinarian read the X-ray the receptionist/tech said "they're the same organs," comparing humans to dogs. You can't compare a 8 year post high school education of a veterinarian working on small animals to a 13 year board certified radiologist or 12 year board certified PCP working on humans and children and bill the same morally in my opinion. Furthermore; there's no reason to pay the same for less experience. The receptionist/techs tone and seemingly lack of empathy made me decide to request leave their service. She told me I need to pay $199 to cancel a contract. I've already paid close to $2,000 on top of $39.99 monthly and now am told she's beyond their expertise and needs to be seen at Purdue. She'll now receive a CT and be Bronched which will cost an additional $3000-$3600. The money is aspect is horrible; but my actual fear is their lack of aggressive treatment will cost my dog dearly and she'll now have chronic lung issues or worse. Maybe the younger staff is simply less aggressive; but it shouldn't take 4 times before admitting it's beyond your expertise. If you value your pets wellbeing I'd put my trust elsewhere in the Indianapolis Area. I certainly wish I did. Followup: Purdue figured out the problem. The whole thing was close to $5,000. I spoke to your manager and she wants more money. Huge waste of time and resources. Thanks alot. Again; put your trust elsewhere in my opinion. read more

I have been going here since my dog was a puppy. The veterinarians and techs are so kind to my dog. They have an excellent program called Pet Prime that covers all vaccinations and checkups. My dog is very anxious and I feel that the staff here really make an effort to give him all the cheese, treats, and love when he is getting healthy. I took my recently adopted dog to the Broad Ripple Pet Wellness Clinic location and had a great first visit. I sent an online inquiry to schedule an appointment on a Sunday morning, by that afternoon someone called and we got an appointment scheduled for the next morning. Very impressive. To start, the staff was completely understanding when I called to let them know I was running behind because I had driven to the wrong location. When I finally arrived, my pet and I were seen quickly. Everyone had a mask on (I did as well), the lobby and exam room were spotless, and they were only letting one client into the lobby at a time. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. They answered all of my many questions and really made both me and my dog feel comfortable, safe, and supported. I left feeling confident that this clinic would be a great fit for our needs. I also appreciate that they have Saturday hours for folks who may not be able to get in during the workweek. read more

I took my 8 week old puppy here the day after I got him. Everyone was so lovely! They treated me and my puppy respectfully, and were very thorough with his exam. They told me exactly what shots he would need over the next few weeks and helped build a plan for heart worm, flea, and tick prevention. TRULY ABYSMAL OFFICE MANAGEMENT My issue began when I called the clinic to explain that I would be taking my senior dog with me on a trip, lasting over a month, and would need a refill of his Gabapentin medication taken for canine vestibular disease. They would only fill the prescription for a month. Therefore, as predicted, I ran out before the trip was complete. They would not allow a refill by phone and insisted that a paper prescription had to be picked up in their office and taken to an Indiana pharmacy to fill. When asked what arrangement they had for other clients who travel out of town and need refills, the front office staff said, "no one has ever asked this before." After explaining, again, that I was out of the state, they said there was nothing they could do. I thought through the situation, called them back and informed them three times during that particular conversation that my son would be by that day to pick up the prescription. They even asked for his name during this conversation. My son would then take the paper prescription to our local Indiana CVS which would then transfer the prescription to the CVS pharmacy in Florida to fill it. After my son spent 30 minutes driving to their location, he was informed that he could not pick up this paper prescription because he was not the animal owner. Again, this problem would never have occurred had they first filled the prescription for greater than 30 days as originally asked. Furthermore, their refusal to help work around a logistical issue clearly shows they DO NOT have my senior pet's health in mind. I was forced to make an appointment with a vet in Florida, pay the office visit, and upset a senior dog with a neurological issue, by having to get him in and out of the car to get the medication he needs.
