My favorite pharmacy. I always go out of my way to make sure all of my prescriptions go to Reza and Christina. They are super helpful, smart, and always ask me about how work and school are going. They truly care and will accommodate any request no matter what! Was leaving for vacay and didn't realize they were going to be closed for three days over the holiday weekend. No fear, they had an emergency # and they opened shop just for me to get my prescriptions before I left to go out of the country for two weeks. I've been here a few times after my other pharmacy closed. I had a lot of problems with CVS and refused to go back there. I did a google search and found Broad Street Pharmacy. I has been great! I was worried that since it was a smaller business that it'd be more expensive, but so far I've found it to be MUCH less expensive than most other pharmacies. I believe it's owned by a married couple (I could be wrong) and they are VERY quick with your RXs and very nice. I 100% recommend this pharmacy if you are in the area. read more

When I think of what a friendly neighborhood pharmacy should be, this is it. The pharmacist and his assistant are nice, knowledgeable, and helpful. They also don't get bogged down in huge crowds like a CVS would - they also compound here which is unique and good to keep in mind. If you do need a drug compounded, they will do 90 day supplies which are cheaper and reduce your visits, unlike another pharmacy I used to use in McLean. read more

After years of complaining about CVS, but thinking there was no alternative, one day I had a doctor suggest this little place around the corner that a lot of her patients had been raving about. Best recommendation I ever got. This pharmacy is the best place to get medications filled. They don't make things a huge hassle and never give the "well there's an issue with insurance" excuse I had grown so accustomed to hearing. Reza (owner) just makes things work. They don't always have everything available, but they will special order anything and it's usually there in a day or two. Prices are usually cheaper here too. Everyone who works there is very friendly, and even the other customers are friendly. Nobody seems angry or annoyed to be there (what a crazy change of pace). I'm just sad that I've recently moved too far away for it to be my regular pharmacy. I'll still go there when I can though, and I bet even after months of not seeing me, I'll get welcomed by name. read more

I just found out two days ago that this pharmacy closed. My husband and I are just really, really sad about this - all of the patient prescriptions were transferred to the closest CVS (which, no surprise, insisted that half the prescriptions had zero refills and/or needed to be filled by them only....even as I stared at my Broad St Pharmacy bottles showing many refills to go). I couldn't challenge them on this--even though I have a CVS account, only current/recent Rx for stuff like antibiotics show up on that. We've used Broad Street for the last 9 years, ever since our daughter had horrible reflux and needed Prevacid (but the best CVS could do was dispense "dissolve-tab Prevacid" and advise we shake the formula it went into like crazy. Our pediatrician's nurse recommended Broad St--they were compounding specialists, a dying skillset--and said her entire family now got their prescriptions through that pharmacy. She was RIGHT...and I found out they had closed because I was calling for refills and couldn't figure why the number kept playing, "This is CVS Pharmacy..." after one ring. Reza the pharmacist was great - knowledgeable and empathetic, he even found me deals on Rx meds that CVS claimed were offered one-price only - and I hope that the business closed under good circumstances and he is well. I just want him and everyone else (like his delivery guy Jim - yep, they delivered to hospitals in the am and patients in the pm, who DOES that now??) that I thank them for years of great service, and I will miss them terribly. every time I go in, I regret my stupid optimism. They only ever have one cashier and there is always a line of 4+ people. I watched two people give up, exasperated, and leave before I got to the register to wait my turn for the painfully slow cashier. Plus, the pharmacy wasn't open at 8am. They are wonderful here, great service and fair prices. I have been trying really hard to find an Epi-Pen Jr. at a decent price (we have a high deductible plan and haven't met the deductible yet). Broad St. Pharmacy offers it at HALF the price of CVS, and although they didn't have it in stock they ordered it Friday evening and will have it by Saturday early afternoon - and they also promised to call me when it's in. You just do not get service like that at any of the chains! read more

Broad Street Pharmacy is wonderful! Their customers are very loyal and it makes sense. The pharmacist, Reza Ghaderi, is a very kind and highly professional person. He patiently answers your questions and makes sure to get your medication to you as fast as possible. He hires the nicest staff to work in his pharmacy. This completely charming pharmacy is stocked with goodies so you can get everything you need. They have vitamins, toothbrushes, lotions, protein powder, even shampoo...and so much more. They keep lovely displays of needed products so you can conveniently get everything you need in addition to medication. Their prices are reasonable and they work with speed and attention to detail. They set an example for other pharmacies out there. The friendly service, great prices, kindness and compassion...you feel valued and will quickly become a devoted customer. A couple of years back, my wife got a new specialist in Falls Church--a bit down the road from where we lived in Vienna. We had been going the CVS route like the other reviewer and not liking it one bit. The specialist highly recommended Broad St Pharmacy and so we went over to fill the Rx's. The pharmacist is great. The pharmacist/owner has NEVER made a single mistake I'm aware of. He's fast and very helpful. Stuck, he'll get your scrips out quickly in the mail. He does flu shots when the serum comes out every year. Though small, there's a large selection of harder to find items. He's even open selected hours on weekends. My wife literally swears by him. He has our unqualified recommendation. read more
