The treadmills and equipment are well-maintained and noticeably more modern compared to my home location in Palo Alto. The men's locker room is clean and well-kept, and the AC is kept at a comfortable temperature throughout the club, though the treadmill section could stand to be cooler. Front desk staff are super friendly and welcoming every time I come in. You also get 2 hours of free parking validation. The club itself is on the smaller side, but the spacing is great, never feels cramped or like you're fighting for equipment.

Unfortunately, the management made very little effort to help me find it. They didn't allow me to post any signs about the lost ring and didn't even notify their staff to keep an eye out for it. It felt like the situation was simply brushed under the rug. For a high-end gym, I expected much more care and concern for what happens to their members. Instead, I felt ignored and extremely disappointed. I even asked to cancel my membership because I no longer feel secure there, but that request was denied as well. I'm new to Equinox, but this experience has been terrible. Based on how this situation was handled, I would not recommend this gym to anyone.

The pool is useless if you are serious swimmer. Frequently 90°, I'm overheating after 300 yards. This pool is for geriatrics and kids. Also for their pool parties but not for real swimmers. Workout area is great, lots of racks. I hate the lighting though. The ceiling is covered in outdoor parking lights. I don't think it bothers anyone else but it's offensive to me. I wish there were designated stretching areas but you can stretch in front of your rack if that's where you are working out otherwise you just have to find a space. The locker room is bad, too crowded. Not enough lockers. Not enough toilets. The sauna - horrible. It only holds 8 people at a time, the steam room is even worse 5, if that. The showers are decent, plenty of room to do what you need to do. I've only done cycle classes, they are basically HITT workouts high RPM, High heart rate, but only 45 minutes. There as a recovery area where there are massage chairs, Normatec goodies for use and hyperice massage guns....and vibration plates. Very nice! Is it worth it. I'm still a member so yes, but it could improve.

As a founding member of Life Time Fitness, I've been with the gym since day one in 2022. Over the…read moreyears, it's truly become my third space. The facility itself is beautiful, upscale, and consistently clean, with thoughtful amenities like Kiehl's products in the locker rooms that make the experience feel elevated. What really makes this gym stand out, though, are the amazing instructors. Cory for spin, Mariah for mat Pilates, and Haly, Isaiah, and Carmen for Alpha are some of my favorites. Last year, around May 2025, they introduced CTR, a reformer-based Pilates class that was a total game changer for me. I no longer needed to go to a separate Pilates studio. Rob and KO helped build the program, and they were both spectacular. Rob is rarely there now, and KO recently left the gym. In my opinion, Anisa Diaz is an exceptional CTR instructor. Honestly, she's great in every class I've taken with her, including spin and mat Pilates. No two CTR classes with her are ever the same. She's incredibly knowledgeable about the human body, has excellent flow, and every movement feels intentional and challenging in the best way. She consistently brings fresh ideas and new challenges that keep the classes engaging and fun. She truly elevated the entire experience. However, over the past few months, some of her classes have been cut, and I feel the CTR program has started to feel lacking and subpar. Because of that, I've found myself returning to private Pilates studios like Drenched OC, Anodetome, Sol, and Jetset Pilates, which are all fantastic if you're considering a private studio experience. At this point, I mainly take CTR at Life Time only when Anisa is teaching. Overall, I'm still very happy with Life Time. I just wish they would bring more energy -- and Anisa -- back to CTR.

The new shower products are an upgrade from the old ones. The reason my rating is low; The main issue I have here is that I frequently see people taking selfies in the locker room. I used to complain about it, but management doesn't seem to do anything. I get an email that it's serious or a phone call and I appreciate it, but nothing seems to happen. Just today, I went through the locker room to go to the party that the gym was having, and I saw a girl taking selfies in the locker room. Other women were changing there, so it wasn't like she was all alone. It's super easy to get photos of people changing in the background. I have easily seen people taking selfies in the locker room at least a dozen of times in the last couple years. We change there. We don't have our clothes on. Why is it okay to take a photo? Even if you aren't intending to photograph others, which most people aren't, people can easily show up in the background. It makes me so uncomfortable. I avoid changing in the locker room now, or if I do, I try to hide in the back. Changing in the bathroom stalls isn't easy because things can fall into the toilet and changing in the shower is wet and the showers sometimes get crowded. It has decreased how much I value this gym, and I am hesitant to recommend it to others. I pay a lot for the gym and amenities, but if I have to constantly look over my shoulder, it ruins the experience. And when I do shower here, I have to bring clothes I can immediately change into in the shower to minimize walking around undressed in case someone decides to take a selfie and I happen to be in the reflection in the mirror. This also limits my ability to do stuff in the locker room like put lotion on. If I complain, I feel l get labeled as a "Karen". Staff doesn't seem to care. People get upset if you talk to them, and I shouldn't have to. I get emails from management that they take this seriously, but if they did they could at least put prominent signs on the mirrors in the locker rooms or have staff members remind women in the locker room not to take photos.

I work nearby so it is very convenient and I love that it is at UTC so parking is not a problem and there are lots of places for food, snacks, coffee, boba and groceries.

I was literally the first person to review Club Pilates UTC on Yelp over 3 years ago, and I gave…read morethem 5 stars. That's what makes writing this now even more disappointing. As of the end of this month, I will no longer be a member, and here's why. First, hygiene is a serious issue. The studio is consistently unclean and only gets properly addressed after repeated complaints. There are ant and roach traps in multiple corners, which speaks for itself. Over the years, I've raised concerns--politely and alongside other members--and only then does anything get cleaned. It shouldn't take persistent complaints to maintain basic standards. Look up at the vents and you'll see heavy dust buildup on the AC filters. This has been brought to management's attention for months, yet nothing changes. Meanwhile, the floors often have visible hair and dust, and mirrors are covered in fingerprints. When they do clean, they use overpowering, chemical-heavy products, which feels counterproductive in a space meant for health and wellness. Instructor quality has also declined significantly. Several excellent instructors have left, and the replacements have been inconsistent at best. In one class, I was introduced to a move that felt unsafe. When I asked about it afterward, the instructor said she found it on TikTok. That alone was alarming. There have also been repeated instances of instructors teaching while visibly sick. I've personally had to leave class multiple times to avoid getting ill. Only after strong complaints did this change--and now it's replaced with last-minute cancellations. On one occasion, I was already in the parking lot when I received a cancellation call. No credit was offered, despite the inconvenience. The turnover rate of instructors over the past year has been extremely high, and it shows in the declining quality of classes. Cancellations are often announced at the last minute, sometimes right at the scheduled start time, with no clear accountability or compensation. The final issue that pushed me to cancel was being charged a $15 no-show fee--despite never having missed a class. When I reached out, I initially received no response. After multiple attempts, I was connected with someone identified as a VP, who claimed I had been refunded 5-6 times in the past six months. When I asked for specifics, only three dates were provided over my 3 years as a member, and the rest were never clarified. That lack of transparency was unacceptable. I ultimately contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge. After I explained the situation, they were surprised at how it had been handled and agreed the charge was erroneous. The fee was refunded, and they indicated they would follow up with Club Pilates directly. If a business is willing to lose a long-term customer over a $15 charge--and handle it this poorly--that says a lot. It's a shame it came to this. At this point, it's clear that member experience is not a priority. Between the cleanliness issues, inconsistent instruction, poor communication, and questionable billing practices, I can no longer justify staying. There are many well-run studios out there. If you're considering this one, I recommend taking a close look at the environment, the instructors, and how concerns are handled before committing.
