But as a warning to others, there…read moreare a few things they don't do: 1) They don't put in writing the agreed upon work. 2) If they don't complete a part of the job that was discussed during the quote, they won't return to complete the job. 3)They will not even respond to messages about the incomplete part of the work (see photo). Proceed with caution. Write down all the things you want them to do, and go through your list before you pay. Once they are paid, there is no customer service.

In the past, I have always dreaded the Summer and Spring clean up because we just did not have the right people to help us. This year, things are different! No more weed picking! Frank was able to put down a professional level barrier so the weeds don't come through. He used high quality brown mulch that doesn't smell weird. He is an expert on plants & trees and ours look healthier than ever. They were trimmed in an aesthetically pleasing way. Our unsightly pipes at the end of the gutters were converted to underground drains. All of our up lights on our trees are finally working. Stone walkway repaired. We have gone through many landscapers over the years and just never found "the one." Also note that Frank is very detail oriented. He will personally meet with you and help you come up with plans and find solutions. He was present the day of the job, as well- not like these bigger companies where God knows who shows up. They did a full Spring clean up, mulch installation, bush planting, and tree trimming for us and we're so happy with the end result. They also helped us with some drainage work that needed to be redone. Branch Out has recently changed owners…read more I knew the previous owner and I know the current owner. Both really nice stand-up guys. With the latest soaking the Ellicott City received a rather large tree came down right across my driveway. I called Branch Out and the owner came out to the house that afternoon. Considering how hard the area got hit I was impressed he could fit me in same-day. He put the whole thing through the chipper, while saving some choice firewood. His prices are VERY reasonable, especially for this area. This is a small company and definitely deserves your business. He's actually getting some more of mine in another week.

They're a small operation--no chemical license, so if you want fertilizing, you'll need to find someone bigger. But it was nice to have the same guy do the estimate and the work. They came with a two-man team--one climber and one on the ground. Both seemed very comfortable with what they were doing. They arrived exactly as scheduled and finished trimming and clean-up within five hours. They were cooperative with the neighbors coming in and out. I happened to be here throughout the job, and they were happy to answer questions and make adjustments, but they could have worked quite well unsupervised. The results look good--I'd definitely recommend giving them a try.
