Super nice breakfast spot the potatoes are amazing !! always clean and tidy with quick staff and quick food service.

The reason I'm giving them 3 is they simply have no options for vegans. All I was able to get was fruit and toast without even margarine. Even hash browns/ home fries weren't an option. Made for a very bland meal. Other than that, the service was good. read more

by far the worst overall experience I have ever had at a restaurant- the service was horrific, food was inedible - cold/wrong order/hair in it, drinks were not made properly, bills all wrong. We order breakfast/brunch (to go) from broadway pretty often and they serve delicious and big meals. We often get eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage and pancakes. The sausage could be cooked a little longer, they have a mushy/greasy texture but other than that, no complaints! The restaurant is spacious and cozy. read more

I came here on a Tuesday around noon for a brunch with the lovely fauve G. I've been to several other Broadways locations, and esthetically, this one is the best. It's quite large and spacious, and would be great for a group gathering. It's definitely a casual spot which is nice. They have a bar to sit at, sports on all the TVs and a massive breakfast menu. The place was pretty empty when we got there except for a few diners. Since we were still able to order breakfast, we went with it. Fauve got some delicious eggs benny, which I'm sure she will review, and I got the breakfast wrap with home fries. The home fries were good - they were sautéd with onions and spices and quite yummy. The wrap however, wasn't great. Filled with mostly shredded lettuce, a bit of cheese and bacon, and some tomatoes it didn't taste especially fresh, or delicious. Good thing I had plenty of home fries! I think this place probably does an awesome traditional breakfast, and I should have gone with that. I'll absolutely come back and try something else, because of the friendly atmosphere and decent prices. Our server was friendly enough, but my major complaint was that it took FOREVER to pay our bill. He brought it to us quickly enough, but then didn't come back to the table for a good 15-20 minutes. Normally, I wouldn't be upset by this, but the place was pretty empty. It's hard to give a rating on this because we had good and not-so-good parts of our meals. 1. Had to send back my Coke as the glass had a thick white substance on the inside. Soap residue maybe ? 2. Ordered the tacos. They had so much potential. They were barely filled. Only thing I asked to take off was jalapeños. They looked so empty. They could really make improvements by adding lettuce and red onion or something to make it seem bigger. The candied bacon was SO DELICIOUS! 2/ $9 I wish they filled them a little more. I had breakfast with a friend of mine last week at this location. The service was efficient and courteous. I forget the name of the server. I had scrambled eggs with bacon and home fries. Although I thought the eggs were slightly greasy, the breakfast was overall delicious. My coffee cup was never empty. The atmosphere was good. I will return for sure. If you have breakfast at Broadway, make sure you have some of those delicious home fries. read more

My first time to broadways in ottawa and i'm very disappointed. We were sitting so long waiting for someone to come by for just DRINKS. i physically had to go find a server- they were all sitting at the bar. When the waitress (Maria) finally came over she had attitude about being approached in front of coworkers like she wasn't doing her job. Mmmm Broadway's breakfast. *Drools* One Word - Breakfast Poutine. If you haven't had it, you MUST try it. A great twist on a Canadian classic. Your basic poutine, but instead of gravy - HOLLANDAISE SAUCE! It's to die for. Oh, and it's made with their homefried potatoes instead of regular fries. I can't seem to steer away from this breakfast choice. Even though it costs a steep $9 for a poutine, it's well worth it. It's a great hangover breakfast too I might add! Word from the wise though - expect to wait in line on a Sunday morning and early afternoon. There's always a lineup. That's just because it's that good though! Just dropped by for a burger about 1900 hrs . Service was a bit slow for a Wednesday as there only 2 staff on the floor and 1 behind the bar as the place was 1/4 full.. I have been going to this Broadways forever! I do feel like the food has gone up in price, sometimes the food doesn't live up to my expectation from when I was younger and the service the last two times I went were not great. I also noticed like another review pointed out that when I went to this restaurant with a group of friends, I could see the kitchen counter from my seat and one plate was on that counter for a really really long time. Turned out that plate was for our table(which was literally 10 steps away) and my friend that had the plate said her meal did not taste very good and was a bit cold. That said. I still love this Broadway's it has a great atmosphere and the food is usually quite good. The grilled cheese here is still one of my favorites as well as their breakfast potatoes. Maybe it's nostalgia talking but it will always be my favorite Broadways in Ottawa.The examples given above have been rare in my experience with this restaurant. It is usually really good. I do still wish they didn't up their prices so much but it seems most restaurants are doing this these days. I would recommend this place, especially for breakfast! read more

Broadways was a huge dissapoiment. We got there and were sat and given menus. My mother's menu had a huge glob of yogurt on it over majority of the menu. We sat there for 20 minutes and we were never even asked for drinks! Our waitress just kept walking by and didn't pay attention to us. We saw food sit at the counter for about 9 minutes we timed i think. After about 25 minutes we just got up and left and we dicided really not to go to Broadways which really sucks because I go to a performing arts school and I love the exciting great broadway. And the restaurant didn't live up to its name. read more

I have always been a fan of broadways and their food but it's only been until recently that its been going downhill. The last time I went the place didn't seem clean and look like it had better days. I had the spaghetti and meatballs to try something different and the meatballs were awful. The pasta without the meatballs was good but I couldn't stand the taste of the meatballs I had to spit it out. Too busy on the weekends. It's overcrowded and service as a result is slow. My eggs Benedict finally arrived with cold as ice hollandaise sauce poured over it...not very appealing. When I mentioned it, the waitress took it back to reheat it but then when it came back the sauce was all chunky and broken probably from being zapped in a microwave, and it required more waiting around to get it again. It wouldn't be my first choice for a weekend breakfast outing. read more
