While they don't offer live music, the tap draft beer selection is awesome...which is what drew me in and drew my attention to the Bushwacker dispensing machine. After checking with a Google search, it turns out that the Bushwacker is not unique to this bar, but is a known drink with a number of different recipes. Long story short and as you will see in the attached picture, it looks and tastes like a delicious milk shake with hints of chocolate, coconut and coffee. This place takes it to another level though by having it available in a soft-serve ice cream type of dispensing machine. If you like milkshakes or ice cream anywhere near as much as myself, you won't want to leave downtown Nashville without trying the Broadway Brewhouse's Bushwacker! staying on the west end instead of down on music row was very cool this trip. New places to explore new restaurants defined, and Broadway brewhouse was one of those fun spots to hit. Live music on Saturday that you would expect in Nashville. The bar is where the action is happening and it was easy to engage with all of the Nashville natives, friendly crowd, friendly bartenders, wide selection of beer. There is one sign that caught my attention, which said best chicken wings in the city had to try them and found out they're roasted not fried to me if you're gonna have a chicken wing it probably needs to be fried. The sauces were interesting and good not very hot not very spicy. good but not great. Don't believe they're really the best in all of Nashville however, I will come back to this place the very next time I'm in Nashville because of the beer because of the bartenders and because of the clientele. If you're looking for a place to get a drink, and only a drink, then you should probably look elsewhere as Broadway Brewhouse left everything to be desired. We popped in for a drink and potentially a small bite to eat but ended up sitting for a bit before a server came over. Now I will say that she was SUPER nice and friendly - in fact, she was this place's ONLY saving grace. We placed our drink order and I ordered a Gumbo. The food arrived and didn't look or taste very appetizing... certainly could have been better. As for our beers, they took FOREVER. And when the did finally arrive we had to taste and shuffle them around until they were correct (or so we guessed). However, I had to question mine was correct (to which the waitress immediately recognized that it wasn't... but you couldn't have done that when you delivered them initially?). If you come to Nashville, You have to find this little bar across rom all the Honky-tonks on Broadway in the downtown area of Nashville. I have never enjoyed a bowl of spicy Chili like the one they make. I wish I could duplicate it but have not been able to. It is a brisket chili with the right amount of everything. I think it is the best I have ever had. Nothing else made my chili cut like thier home made brisket Chili. Service was super fast. I don't think it took more than 3 minutes to get my food. The service was excellent here. So many beers to choose from. And for a town not known for its food, our meal wasn't bad. The chicken queso was a good way to start. Let me start off by saying I go here all the time after work because it has good prices (2 for one drafts), and my service industry friends go there. Anyways, we go there, and the waitress, Annie (or something like that), starts treating me like crap and being extremely rude. I ask for a menu, and she comes back to ask if I want anything, to which I say, "No, I'm good." She proceeds to huff and say, "Yeah." Im not kidding; she exaggerates the huff/sigh. Anyways, I ask my friends, "Is it just me or is she being rude?" They agree and don't know what's going on. Anyways, it comes to the end of the night, and she gives me the tab. I only ordered 2 beers and felt her behavior was not tolerable for me speaking maybe 15 words to her. So I tip her $0 on a $13 bill. She literally comes back to the table and says, "What is your problem?! You are going to tip me $0?? I can't stand you!!" I was baffled to say the least. Who does that? So I look at her and just ask why she's being a cunt. Yes, I called her a cunt. Because anyone in the hospitality career is not going to act so childish. I told her that it was because of how she treated me. She proceeded to bash me and make up stories of me never tipping her (which wasn't true because I've always tipped 20% prior), then kicks me out. Decent selection of food, and reasonably priced. There's a really long bar, so it's good if you go solo. The bar is a little taller than usual so it sits right at your chest making it awkward if you're eating. The staff seem friendly enough, but don't offer a warm welcome, even on a slow night with no live bands playing. The quesadilla I got was really, really basic. It lacked flavor and I've had them 10x better at Chipotle or Qdoba for a little cheaper. I wouldn't say don't go here, but there's other places that are better. read more

A typical Nashville on Broadway bar. They claim over 70 beer on tap. It was a hot Nashville day so we stopped in for a beverage. I choose a Dead Guy ale from the Rogue brewery. Very good beer. We made the mistake of taking our kids to the strip in Nashville and needed to find a place to eat without live music. We went here and they were great, great food and great service. The food has a Cajun flair to it and it was so good. Kids had chicken fingers they were homemade! The fruit cup on the side of kids meal was huge and fresh fruit! Loved the spice on the fries. I got a veggie quedilla and I wish I could go back just for this. My husband got the pulled chicken sandwhich andwas very pleased. They have something like 70 beers on tap, and I was frazzled and asked the waiter to pick an IPA for me. He was great and picked a good beer and was attentive. Great fried catfish and great gumbo with a nice dark roux. We always sit at the bar by the garage door windows which makes a great people watching spot. Bartenders have all been very quick and attentive. The police eat here so you know it's good. We have tried the gator and fried shrimp as well and both were done well, different coating than the catfish but, still good. It's quieter in here as they don't have bands so if you need a change of scenery for a moment stop in. read more

I am in Nashville for the 1st time. I wanted some wings I I figured if I stayed away from Broadway I would get a better "local" food joint. That being said the place is great it's got a lot of beer on tap. The server was awesome. I counted 9 tvs but there could be more I was seated at the bar. I did orde the whole order wings of wings (10) pictured they looked delicious but I bit into one and it was down hill from there, the sauce was ok I ordered the MOJO expecting a bit of heat ( MOJO is there ) not at all it was sweet. The wings are precooked so thay were worm at best. I am not use to that but the wings almost tasted fake the texture of the wing was completely different then any wing I've ever eaten over my 40 plus yeas of loving wings. We're not from the area, but we find our way here every time we're in Nashville. Mainly because my hubby is a fan of the bushwhacker and apparently theirs is the best. Personally, the first time I had a bushwhacker, I feel like I had a hangover and brain freeze all at once after just one. It reminds me of a very boozy Wendy's frosty. When we went this last time, I was able to finish one and didn't feel wasted or hungover, so that's a plus. My hunny loves these though. He will sit and drink three or four and want more. It's crazy. The food is okay. Bar food, but tasty. We usually order online at Hattie B's, which is around the corner, and then post it here sippin' on a bushwhacker until it's ready. It is a fun bar vibe though with a couple video games and darts. It would be a fun place to hang out with friends, while watching some football. read more

I walked into the first restaurant I came to after parking. I got to try alligator bites which was not available at the restaurant I went to the day before. I had the sample platter with catfish, gator bites and shrimp with a small salad. The pickled salsa was pretty good on top of the salad. I am not a big fan of fried food, but it was tasty. I washed it down with an Angry Orchard while my really sweet Waitress kept checking in on me. I was happy that it wasn't crowded and I could enjoy the open space. I definitely recommend it. Stopped in late night specifically for a Buschwaker (which was amazing!). But stayed for the food. I tried the Laredo rolls and loaded fries that you can choose the toppings. I got mine with chilli and cheese. Everyone at my table ordered something different and we all thought it was solid. The late night menu was a discounted price. This is really cool dive bar with a lot of beers on tap that also unfortunately still allows smoking but at least they keep it decently ventilated so it doesn't get too disgusting. It is very disappointing for my last visit on a Sunday when there was a 2 for 1 special that I got charged 1 for 1. I also take issue with this establishment taking credit for having the "Original Bushwhacker" as everybody knows FloraBama invented that beverage. They have a decent menu of food here and serve some items late. The service could be better even though they usually have a lot of staff working behind the bar I have been left with an empty glass of beer needing a refill for far too long several times; even when it wasn't that busy as the staff was around the corner smoking or having a long conversation. Overall this is a decent bar to go to and especially during one of their 2 for 1 beer specials although it would be much nicer without the nasty smoking. It would make a LOT more sense if the smokers should get put out on the non-smoking patio area so all that nasty smoke could escape instead of being trapped inside the building. read more

A seat opened up, grabbed it, and was promptly told you can't sit here if you order from the bar. Told the random server (thin, handsome, 5'10) we intended on ordering food and he said, " you got your drink from the bar so unless you give me head you're outta here". I was shocked and disgusted so I said how gross he was, then was told by another sever (larger and with purple hair) I needed to be nice and within seconds was met by security telling me I "was rude" and needed to leave. Being from another State, we were surprised to see you can smoke in there. We haven't seen a cigarette machine in forever! $10 a pack! So glad I quit years ago! I enjoyed my BLT during my first visit and my patty melt the second one, although it was a little over cooked. I like the Tuscan bread! Both times the fries were hot and crispy. My husband agrees, the fries were cooked just right. He said he liked the portion size of the Jalepenos Bacon Cheeseburger - spice was good and the jalapeños mayo was a bonus. However, it was cooked well done and we realized we were never asked how we want our burgers. So, be sure to let them know when you order. We also both agree that the wings are very meaty. Literally ran here from the Titans game to beat the crowds and get a table to watch the Jets game. 20 minutes after we've been there, they change the channel of the only TV we have visibility for. They said it's first come first serve and someone asked to change it. (Our channel was already on, so we wouldn't have requested to change it) They said we should find another table, knowing full well that there were none left at that point, as the crowds we planned ahead to avoid had packed out the bar. read more
