I don't even know how to explain this place properly because it's not really a bar to me it's more like a safe place you accidentally find and then never stop coming back to.This is where all the Gulch foodservice people end up after work. Where you come to breathe, complain about customers, laugh about how brutal the day was, and remember you're still human. It feels like a secret little world that only people in the industry really understand. The people are what make it.Alex is one of those humans who just knows how to talk to you whether you need support, distraction, or just someone who actually listens without trying to fix you. Conversations there feel grounding in the best way.Christian... if you ask for a shot, be prepared. You don't get a shot, you get a glass of vodka. No questions, no judgment. Just respect. And Jess.Jess is everything. She's not just a bartender. She's the friend who sings with you when you need to sing, gives workout advice when you're spiraling, helps with relationships, life decisions, Slavic friend drama, literally anything. She always has ideas. Always has solutions. She gets you. Because of her I want to walk in every single day which is tragic, because she only works once a week and life is cruel.Stevie will casually remind you of your beauty and power when you didn't even know you needed it. And Kiernan Stevie's husband is honestly the soul of the place. That grounding energy that makes everything feel warm and alive.Trivia nights are chaos in the best way.If you work in the Gulch and haven't been here yet, you're missing out. This isn't just somewhere you grab a drink it's where you land when the day beats you up. Back home humor version: Life is hard. Hops & Crafts gives you a drink and says, "You'll survive." And honestly? You do.

I really had high hopes for this place after reading the Yelp reviews. Great list of beer. That was not the problem. Where it fell short was on everything else. The bartender was unenthusiastic at best. When I asked if they served flights, which seemed to be referenced in numerous photos and menu boards in the photos posted here, the answer was, "No, we don't have that now." Okay, not now. Is there a time for that? "No, only when the ABV might be..." What? You are not even giving me a real answer. Okay, maybe I am being misunderstood, what is the smallest pour? "A pint." Okay, I guess I will pick something out then. Yes, he did offer a taste before buying, but that's not what I was looking for. Also, here on Yelp I see a photo of a pizza. Food listed on the menu. Even small bites are listed in the reviews. Yeah, we don't do food. Yes, it wasn't busy. It was easy to get in and grab a pint in peace. However, if you are looking for a little more than that it seems like you might be disappointed. The thing is, the answers I got to my questions were so loose I don't know if the experience would be different on a different day, a different time, or if there was a full moon out.

So love the new owner at Hops Crafts - we had a few general customer service issues in past - but now new team is customer focused!! So 7pm customer service vibe is great and now wine - the entire family is happy!!! So many good drafts in the gulch - a local bar in the neighborhood!! Wed night and outdoor entertainment - the guitarist was great - Mr James Hatem - great talent and sound. Nice chat with him as we drank outside. So new owners ... maybe put a clap board on sidewalk saying you have live entertainment or move them to corner so you can see when you walk up (vs around the corner). And add heat lamps !!! The entertainment was really good but pay attention to details so everyone coming in hears the talent - maybe speakers inside? Love Hop and Crafts -

Cute, small spot with a few tables & lots of drink options. Came with a friend group and played some games while having a few drinks. Can't hold a bunch of people, but good for a more intimate outing. Tasty, rotating beer/cider options. A few choices for snacks, but nothing to rave about.

Low key, cute hole on the wall . Street parking as far as I am aware of, I do not live in this state and I was not driving so I cannot be very useful for that info at the moment and I apologize.. Bartender attentive, friendly and amazingly knowledgeable of the brew served there. I do not drink beer, but I advise him, he got me and what I was all about, he pointed me the right way for sure. not like other breweries where they serve you another kind of fruity beer, this guy hit the spot with his suggestion. The below was the "beer" I fell in love with. Stiedl radler- like a shandy and super sweet just like I love, I am all about the sweet so this was the best choice ever, fruity, sweet and I could not top drinking it. This place is small and the beer is cheap, the staff is awesome, this is definitely a place to visit when here in the neighborhood.

A very cozy and cool little bar tucked into the Gulch! A friend and I popped for awhile in on a night out. We wanted to try some new places and have a chill night, Hops & Crafts kicked it off just right. We both ordered a stout off the menu, excellent quality and pour. We also ordered the pretzel and beer cheese to get something on our tummies. I wish I would have snapped a picture, but I was too busy devouring, excellent choice! It seems the bar offers board games and other chill activities to pass the time with friends. There is a outdoor seating area for warmer nights. Great customer service and...Covid rules were being politely enforced! Definitely a place worth checking out.

Hops & Crafts is a cute little beer bar located in the Gulch near a bunch of other poppin' spots. When we went in on a Sunday, they were playing a NFL game so my friend was happy. Personally I could take it or leave it but if you're looking for a place with TVs, this is it. They have a good variety of beer types on tap plus a good number of local drinks which was my main aim coming here. They were out of a couple of beers listed which was slightly disappointing but everything I decided on in my flight of 6 was decent to delicious. I think the flight of 6 ran us $13. They do a "Hoppy Hour" har har har M-F from 3-6pm where pints are $1 off. They also do specials on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. Friendly bartender and very chill craft beer room full of games with a couple of outdoor tables. Really liked this small taproom.

For all you hop heads that like great draft selections, knowledgeable staff, and a non corporate feel, look no further. This was my first stop (of many) in Nashville and I'm very pleased it went that way. I was able to try great local beers and get the inside scoop on places to go/things to try. Hops has daily specials ranging from discounted select drafts to 1/2 off flights, among others. They have a constant rotation of beer, one keg kicks another takes its place. This is a great place to scope out when you want a calmer atmosphere, great service and a quality beer selection so drop by and give em a try. Pro Tip: Look for the bucket of free beer swag.

Stumbled upon this chill, amazing, craft beer heaven. After lunch we were waking around looking for places to grab a drink. It was a perfect, toasty 80 degrees out so I wanted a place where I could sit outside. This place had exactly what I was looking for, great beers and out door seating. You go inside and order your drink from the bar. There was a few seats inside and a couple outside. I ordered a deliciously refreshing local wheat beer. This place is very chill, there are tvs inside, there are board games on a shelf, they are pet friendly and the price for a beer was decent. Cute place. I was glad to have been able to stop in.

Stoke Haus Brewing & BBQ is hands down the best BBQ experience of my life!…read more A few helpful tips before you go: parking is a little limited right in front and the entrance is easy to miss. There is additional parking around the side in an open lot that felt safe, was free (at least currently), and was super convenient. Once you arrive, walk around the left side of the building and order inside at the bar. They'll give you a pager, and when your food is ready, you'll head outside to the food truck for pickup. When we first walked in, I have to admit I thought, "What is that smell?" Then I realized it was the giant brewing vats and the smell of the beer-making process. Once I connected the dots, I actually started appreciating it and felt it added to the experience and the authenticity of the brewery. We tried their signature beer, a quality dark ale that paired perfectly with our meal. It had a great depth of flavor and was the perfect complement to the BBQ. For food, we ordered and split: Half order of ribs: incredibly tender with a crispy, flavorful top. They were packed with flavor and came with two dipping sauces. I preferred the BBQ sauce over the Carolina-style sauce, but both were enjoyable. Brussels sprouts: OH MY GOODNESS. I genuinely did not know vegetables could taste this good. Even my veggie-hating partner loved them, which honestly says everything. These were a standout. Mac & cheese: visually, this was beautiful and looked like it was going to be a favorite. Unfortunately, it didn't quite hit the way I expected and wasn't as satisfying as I hoped. THE BRISKET BURGER = THE STAR OF THE SHOW! I have never had a brisket burger before, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but this was phenomenal. The Gouda cheese was incredible, and the combination of the mayo, pickles, and sauce created the perfect balance of flavors. It was everything you want in a burger and more. This is the dish I will be telling everyone about. Beyond the food, the atmosphere was fantastic. They have board games in the back, and it looks like they host karaoke nights, which gives the space a really fun, community-oriented feel. Every staff member we interacted with was kind, welcoming, and helpful. Honestly, there was nothing to complain about. Great food, great beer, great people, and a unique experience. Stoke Haus is a must-visit and if you go, do yourself a favor and order the brisket burger. You won't regret it.

We needed to eat before beginning our 2 hour drive home. I wanted BBQ but not from a chain. Not…read moresomewhere with a shiny sign, rocking chairs on the front porch, a front porch. You know the places I'm talking about. No, I wanted somewhere authentic. In a neighborhood, not near the mall. A place most people would drive past. Stoke Haus is all this and more. Much more. 2pm on Sunday and the parking lot was full. (I'm sure a good handful was for the liquor store next door). The first issue - how do you get in?? There is no front door. There is a tall wooden fence on the side of the building. I peek through the gap between the fence and the wall. A long smoker, a pile of wood, a small food truck (what???). I see a couple leaving the building by a side door. This must be it. There is a sign taped to the door: order at the bar and pick up at the truck. Following instructions, we approach the bar. The couple next to me just got their food. OMG. That looks so good. I ask what they have...brisket, a pulled pork sandwich, German potato salad, cole slaw, fried okra and a little pile of pickles and marinated onions. I don't even look at the menu. "I want that" I tell the bartender. We each order a beer (I forgot to mention that this is a brewery too). We received our beer and a buzzer, found a table and proceeded to play on our phones until the buzzer went off. My husband went outside to the food truck and came in with a metal tray nearly overflowing with food. We didn't waste a second digging in. The brisket was incredibly tender with a most amazing bark. A little too fatty, even for brisket, but still a "must order". The sandwich was absolutely stuffed with tender, juicy pulled pork. Perfection. The sides, especially the potato salad were excellent (though the okra wasn't made from scratch, it was still worthy). The pickles? That final little "oomph". Our meal wasn't just a home run, it was a grand slam! I've written a lot of reviews. I've written a lot of 5 star reviews. I'd love to be able to give Stoke Haus 10 stars. This is definitely a don't miss!!

Need less to say we continued inside. I'm no sure if this is handicap assessible as we walkeeld up a lil incline to steps. When entering we were looked at in a way that was not warming. However, a voice came from the bar area with directions. We chose to to the flight. The choices were selected with a little help from the bar. They came out pretty quickly. The tasting started and it out of 5, only one did not have a nasty and strong hoppy/bitter after taste. The select were Passion fruit, Hippies and Cowboy, Southern Wit, Urban Hiker, and Wildwood. As we spent our time no one seem to as if we needed anything or if our selection were ok. We got some "why are you in here type" looks. I was not impressed by this brewery. The customer service and my sensing of being not welcome was high. Note we were the only patrons. I would not return.
