Dinner out with some out-of-town visitors. Not much of a crowd on a Wednesday evening and we were seated promptly. Our waitperson took our drink and appetizer order. As we settled in with the menu our questions were answered. The pretzel appetizer took a rather long time. Apparently the original portion was burned and was remade. Our main meal arrived and I ordered a brown ale. I nearly finished my burger before the ale arrived "The bar was backed up". Our meals were hot and freshly made from the kitchen. The Jasper Burger was juicy and the bleu cheese was slightly brown and went well with the patty. I was able to swap the American cheese out for the blue. My bang bang Brussels were excellent with the right amount of spiciness. Chicken sandwich and wedge fries looked delicious as did all the food. All in all the food was very good and the service was accurate if a bit slow. Tips: Parking in the lot is validated. Head on in and scan the QR code at the host station for three hours of free parking. It appears that even though they don't offer alternative cheeses on the menu if you ask you can get any cheese they have for the other dishes. Be sure to review your check. We were there on Wednesday evening but the burgers were billed at full price. Not the end of the world however good servers should know the specials. read more

Ordered the grilled chicken sandwich no aioli and switched bun to brioche. I came during happy hour by chance, so I also had house Pinot. The Pinot was crisp and sweet. The grilled chicken was juicy and flavorful. Bun super soft and the addition of pineapple added a touch of sweetness. The first time I went there was only the bartender servicing the entire restaurant, and she did the best she could given the circumstances. So I give this place a 4. I also came when it wasn't super busy so food came out quickly. My second time was happy hour on purpose. I wanted the Pinot again but they didn't have a full glass worth of it left. She gave me what little they did have, and I ordered the Preds Punch. Way too sweet but looked really cool. Both times service was good. Would go back a third time if I'm ever in the area. read more

Stopped in here to watch the music city bowl. Place was empty due to the bowl being played just a few minutes from here. The game had started but the espn coverage didn't start til about 10 mins in. Not the bars fault. I asked for a short glass of pineapple juice and a shot of casamigos. I didn't get a cocktail napkin or any napkin guess I should have asked for that too. Took forever to get someone to take a few apps while watching the game. Mind you literally 7 people in the place. Ordered the pretzel and cauliflower poppers. Not sure why they are called poppers. They're just fried and served with some sauces. Very breaded but tasty. The sauces were good but don't know what they were. Food was a solid 4 out of 5 but very disappointed with the service. We came in on a Wednesday night just before 7pm and there was a 20 min wait with plenty of tables open and room at the bar so we chose to sit at the bar. It took far longer to get an order in than it should have. I had my initial water finished before my appetizer came out and I never got a refill. Bartender was extremely busy and didn't give much attention to my wife and I even though there were only 7ish people at the whole bar. Overall though, I probably wouldn't order these items again. A large party came in shortly after I arrived, which may have been why the waitstaff seemed a bit stretched out and less attentive. Jasper's participated in burger week, so my friend came for happy hour and I spilt the burger and the wings. We got the dry rub wings which were delicious. We both like spicy so dipped them in their Carolina Reaper hotsauce, soo good. It was spicy but flavorful, a few dabs will do. The smash burger was very good as well. I like that it wasn't super messy, bc some can be. We sat at the bar and the staff was nice and helpful when deciding which flavor wings to go. The bartender recommended the dry rub and they didn't disappoint. This was my first time at Jasper's, there are a few other things I would like try. I will definitely be back. We attended mass across the street at the Cathedral, and it was time for lunch, and we spotted Jasper's! Service was super- friendly, my husband reminded her right away of Jessica Simpson! Hubby and I split half a house salad and fried chicken sandwich. They were delicious, and the chicken was so fat, my mouth can't open that big. The portions, were perfect for us. She gave us a complimentary vanilla ice cream with confetti, for our anniversary. Thank you! TLDR: Relatively quiet sports bar on a weekday for lunchtime, but was picking up as we left. Service was friendly. Ambience was fine. Food was ok. Overall, a good sports bar for some bar and grill food with plenty of TVs. I'd give it 3.5 stars if I could, but I can't. Wife and I stopped by to grab a quick lunch. I got there first and was seated immediately with free parking if you scan inside. Place has an ok draft menu though I wish it was more expansive for a sports bar. Menu has all your staples for a bar and grill place. We grabbed the buffalo chicken dip to start things off. It was flavorful, but I like mine with shredded chicken so texture wasn't my favorite. My wife ordered the grilled chicken sandwich with fries (great fries, meh chicken) and I got the buffalo chicken wrap with the bang bang brussels (good brussels, meh wrap). I was pretty sad about that because I love buffalo chicken wraps. Other tables seemed happy with their burgers though. Food came out a little slow too. The kids portion of chicken tenders (2 tenders) is $8. The adult portion (4 tenders) is...you would think $16 or less...right? Nope! Same exact thing just 4 instead of 2 tenders...$20! It literally says $20 on the menu. Same amount of fries. Make it make sense. I feel bad for people who work at restaurants that raise prices nearly 100% and throw it out there and hope it will stick. So many servers cannot make a living and restaurants are closing bc no one wants to overpay. Also, no toilet paper in the bathroom, I had to drip dry while one of the servers was scrolling on their phone in the stall next to me. (She was not busy). Jasper is located in midtown, which is not too crowded compared to the restaurants near my residence. They have plenty of free parking right outside the restaurant The interiors are very chic, yet like an easy-going casual restaurant with friendly steward. I had some amazing smoky dry rubs wings with my nonalcoholic drink. The Mexican pizza was unusual yet delicious. Loved Jaspers, it's a great place to hang out over food and drinks. read more

This place is in need of a lot of help. I made a reservation for 11 for 7:45 pm. When we arrived, the restaurant was not very busy, so we were excited to get right in. After being seated we ordered waters and a couple drinks. The waitress said it may take a bit to get them to us. It was over 15 minutes just to get the waters. We ordered our food which took nearly an hour to get. By this time, it was almost 9 and there weren't any other tables seated, just our group. The food came out barely warm. I ordered the Patty Melt. I asked for Thousand Island and they didn't have any. When ordering we tried to order pizza, but the waitress said they didn't have pizza, but there was a section dedicated to pizza on the menu. My son ordered BBQ chicken tenders that came out with buffalo sauce on them. The waitress said they would remake them. Instead, the tried to rub the buffalo sauce off the tenders and re-dip in BBQ sauce. So, it tasted like crap because now it was buffalo and BBQ and was not edible. The waitress never came back to re-fill water or ask if things were ok. Would definitely look for another option while in Nashville. And even with the terrible service they charge 20% gratuity, so you don't even get the chance to pay less for bad food and service. Stay away! read more

Had a quick brunch here on Palm Sunday. Our waitress Grayson was delightful! We had an 11.30am reservation, got there a bit early, and were seated right away. The coffee was good and the mimosa was as well. For $5, we got an average serving in a standard champagne glass. Everyone enjoyed their food. I had the bacon avocado toast which had a very generous serving of "avocado mash" which is basically guacamole. I prefer no red onions in my avocado but it was good nonetheless. The bacon was chopped into little cubes and cooked well. The highlight to me were the cherry tomatoes and the brioche toast! Very very good and unlike anything I'd had before. They even accommodated my friend's request to order potatoes, toast, and scrambled eggs of the kids menu. For four mimosas, two coffee, the aforementioned adult kid meal, and three more entree, the bill came to just about $130, so not too bad. The restaurant was quiet when we got there but got busier by the time we left. It was still quiet and easy to hold a conversation. And they validate parking :-) read more

First night in Nashville and a great spot to enjoy dinner with friends for our Bachelor/Bachelorette party! We wanted somewhere a little more low key near our airbnb. Jasper's was the perfect choice. Started with the buffalo chicken dip(delish), the cuevo with pork rinds and tortilla chips; this was my first time having pork rinds and they were definitely something I could see becoming addictive. Also got the caulipoppers and the 3 sauces were interesting. Loved the red pepper one the most. The pea hummus was a little bland and the whipped feta was tasty. I had the pot sticker salad and really enjoyed it. It was different than any salad I'd had before. Just the right amount of crunch with the nuts and the jicama. We both ordered the jasper wings with the bang bang sauce and they were probably the best wings I've ever had! For $6 during their happy hour, you can get the mini version of the full meal, which was plenty to fill me up. Another nice thing we appreciated about this restaurant was that it is open seating at the bar where you can sit if they are booked at the normal tables. I recently dined at Jaspers and had a lovely time. Our waitress, Taylor, was super friendly and made us feel right at home. I went for the fajitas, and while they were delicious, I was a bit disappointed with the steak portion--it felt a bit small. The vibe of the place was great, but I probably wouldn't order the fajitas again for that reason. I did hear some good buzz about the chicken sandwich, so that could be worth trying! I had the most amazing power bowl recently with colleagues for lunch. It was a huge portion and I didn't go hungry. We had a table of about 6 and the restaurant was busy but it did take us about 2 hours to eat. I wouldn't call it a quick lunch place but definitely somewhere to experience if you have some time. I think they also had heaters but we didn't ask them to set them up. We arrived for an early lunch and they set up the porch area for us very quickly. My son had the Nashville Hot pizza and said it was VERY tasty, he would have it again. He even liked it over Hattie B's Nashville Hot Sandwich! My daughter got the cuban but said the bark on the meat was a little spicy for her (she doesn't like spice). But, she still liked the cuban. She pulled the part off she didn't like. I got the Jasper burger. I ordered it medium rare but after it sat it was closer to well done. Still delicious with crispy bacon on it. Would have been better if the patty had some juice left in it though . My husband got either the Cowboy or Lonestar Chicken Sandwich. He said it was good but not any better or different than others he has had. Before we ate all that, we ordered the fried cauliflower. I would have preferred it in smaller bites with a bit of a spicy sauce (like a bang bang sauce) to add a lot of flavor. The neighborhood area and restaurant had a hipster urban vibe. Jasper's is a cute spin on a college football bar. Jasper is a Clemson bar. When I visited the Clemson game was on which meant it was on every tv and the bar area was decked out in orange. The bar area was busy but the main sitting area was empty enough to accommodate a few large parties. I'm a sucker for a frozen drink so I took advantage of the frozen drink selection. I ordered the frozen Hurricane but I was also able to try the frozen Cold Fashion. Both drinks were delicious. I have rarely if ever seen a frozen Old Fashion. It was surprisingly good and mixed well. When it came to my entree I ordered the creole pasta but was also able to try the smoked pork chop. The creole pasta was delicious once I was able to add salt and pepper. Without the additional seasoning it was bland but edible. The smoked pork chop literally tasted like a giant piece of Canadian bacon. It was absolutely disgusting. I've never had a pork chop that tasted like that. I normally don't mind bacon but not a few ounces of it as my main course. I'm aware that the wait staff may experience a lot of tourist so it can be draining but the waiter was not friendly. He was very short tempered and didn't have any patience at all. When I asked him about the check in offer he was condescending to the point that my table awkwardly looked at each other. I ended up having to go to the hostess desk to get the salt and pepper because our waiter didn't come back to our table after we ordered our meals. We were out of water and our cocktails by the time he did come back. The women at the hostess desk and the people that delivered our food were really nice so it's good to see it was just one bad apple. read more

We came in for happy hour, the frozen drinks were discounted and they were so good! I checked in on Yelp and got a free delicious bowl of cheese dip! The cheese dip was in my top 10 of yummy cheese dips! Easy to park too! I have only been here for happy hour and I will be back! read more
