Except I couldn't open the stupid thing for a couple of minutes. Sure enough, a twenty got into the zipper. I was dripping sweat since I had just ascended the steep Thousand Steps Beach stairway and temperatures were rising on a muggy morning. The nice lady gave me a couple of papertowls to pat myself dry with, and did I ever need it. My legs were still burning from the ascent! What I needed wasn't booze, although I approved of the selection and reasonable prices, no, I needed sunblock. Sure enough, they carried it, plus I could have scored a Frisbee or another beach towel if necessary. I also saw a small but good cigar selection, which was funny because all morning I could smell cigar smoke and essence, even while on the beach. Anyhow, next time I need alcohol or a cigar or anything else I'll bypass the nearby 7-Eleven and come straight here!

In addition, all the staff at the nail salon goes to the liquor store for drinks, snacks, etc. Today an employee that I have not met before was standing out front and told me I could not park there despite there being no signs saying the parking spot was reserved for liquor store customers only. I told the employee that I would buy something after I got my nails done. In general, he was extremely rude and I would not recommend anyone coming here. They definitely lost a consistent customer that comes twice a month.

I'm not much of a whiskey or beer drinker but decided to see what their other offerings were like. This store is located in a nondescript strip mall. It doesn't look like much from the outside but once you step inside you immediately realize this is a liquor store that is stocked by folks that know their booze! I'm a wine person and was impressed with the variety of wines they had to offer. The offerings covered all price ranges and seemed to represent the better quality labels and some smaller independent wineries too. I grabbed a bottle of imported Italian chianti and a cabernet sauvignon from a small Paso Robles vineyard. My wife had asked me to get a bottle of amaretto for an upcoming party and, not finding it on the store shelves, was informed they had bottles behind the counter. The guys working here were very helpful and friendly, prices were reasonable, and the selection was fantastic. Definitely my new go-to store for wine and other alcoholic pleasures.
