On 5/5/17 I unfortunately had to pick up Medical Supplies at Broadway Medical for my son. On this same day, my son and I waited at the hospital for him to be discharged, having been told that Broadway Medical would be delivering his supplies directly to us there. After tiring of waiting, the Social Worker called Broadway Medical and was told they would not be delivering the items for my son and that they would need to be picked up there. Broadway Medical then called my son to inform him of this and at this time, my son asked why the items were not going to be delivered, only to be told "We don't deliver." One only has to watch the Broadway Medical commercials to know it is clearly stated in them, "We deliver." I went immediately to Broadway Medical, angry about the whole situation, only to be helped by a very unhappy woman who clearly hated her job and made it known that she did. Her name is Tania and she was beyond rude, telling me the items for my son were not there and I would have to come back. I informed her of the fact that we were indeed called and the items were indeed there, however she insisted I could not take them because his insurance had not approved the items. She glared at me and made it clear she wanted me to leave. I then got a call from the Social Worker at the hospital who directed me to ask to speak to Renee who knew about the items and would help me. I immediately asked for Renee and was told she "Had gone to lunch." This, after the Social Worker had just gotten off the phone with Renee. I informed the very rude and uncooperative Tania that I was sorry she didn't like her job and inquired what her name was. After hesitating and more glaring, she gave it to me. Prior to my unfortunate interaction with Tania, I watched others in line ahead of me also being treated rudely and a quite ill elderly woman on oxygen leave in tears after dealing with Tania. People who dislike dealing with people SHOULD NOT be placed at the front desk, as customers that come to this establishment are either ill themselves or are dealing with someone in their life who is Tania's stiff unsmiling face and gruff, rude tone is beyond what customers should be forced to deal with. I have never been treated so rudely by a clerk and regardless of the fact that Broadway Medical is one of the only places available for medical supplies in Eureka, I and I encourage others as well, to shop online or go out of town to do so. I also strongly advise the owner of this establishment, Ron Biaska, to place someone at the front desk who is friendly, knows how to smile and is kind, unlike his current choice, Tania. Had I been given the choice to give Broadway Medical "0 Stars", I would not have hesitated to do so. read more

This is a bit late this happened in 2025, but I needed time to assess what was going on with the…read morecars. This is more detail for my Dec 22nd, 2025 review. I have 2 cars both were being serviced at Leon's and for regular service I liked them, good customer experience up front. However, I took my 95 Toyota Land Cruiser in with 2 issues a suspected fuel leak (we could smell fuel in the garage when you opened the door) and it was running rough, more so when it was cold. Leon's looked at these problems and said they could not find either one. About the same time I took my 2001 Subaru Outback to them about an overheating problem and the guy from the shop came back with a big list of repairs to fix the problem even though I told him this car was a car I was not going to pay lots of money to repair. So with no solution for either car I looked for and found a shop in Arcata. The Land Cruiser went in first. On the first day he dropped the fuel tank and found that the line to the emergency break had worn a hole in the top of the fuel tank and it was leaking. He fixed it and looked for the other problem, it took him a bit longer but not much and he found the number 5 spark plug cable was periodically arcing to the exhaust pipes. So here is the significance of that, Leon's let me drive the car out of there shop with an active fuel leek and an active ignition source should the fuel get close to it. I was not pleased. Then I took the Subaru to the same shop in Arcata and in less than a day he said he found the connector to one of the fans that go on when the radiator gets too hot was not securely connected. Infer what you want from this but one thing is for sure Leon's should have caught the loose connector. Both cars now seem to be running just fine. So why did I not rate them a 1? Well initially I rated them much higher. When I came here for oil changes and tuneups the customer service at the front desk was great and this is where most auto repair shops drop the ball. I assumed that the work in the back followed the same pattern, but this turned out to be a bad assumption. So they could be good for regular maintenance, but I would not go there for anything tricky.

Left an appointment disrespected and frustrated…read more I like to say good things whenever possible, so first the good: Scheduling appointment was great. I immediately put the appointment into my phone with alerts, but when I showed up, they had me down for the following week. Honestly, I have a reputation for being in the right place, early, like I was that day. Maybe it was my rare mistake, maybe it was theirs, or maybe just a simple miscommunication - fine, moving on - wasn't upset about it, demanding, or anything. The good part was that the owner checked with the foreman who said they could squeeze me in. Very nice, unexpected, and I thanked her. Then things went off the rails. She said no time for an oil change, which I was fine with. However, I said my coolant was a little over-filled and power steering fluid was low. She got snippy with me in a bad way saying she was already squeezing me in. I wasn't demanding anything, and it was a 5 minute job. If she had politely explained that it wouldn't be possible today, I would have accepted it, no problem. I said "sorry, it was just a question." She snatched the paperwork away, grinned at me in a angry way and asked if I wanted to leave. How incredibly over the top and insulting. She added, "because you seem unhappy." I said "you seem unhappy. It was a simple request. Not a demand." She was clearly angry and reiterated that she was doing me a huge favor already (although I think the scheduling issue was on them). Her tone and actions were way, way out of line and totally unacceptable, especially considering how minor the request was. So I calmly said, "This is unfair treatment and unprofessional" and left, which I think was pretty fair. I called to speak to the manager, which I think I have only done once before in my entire life. She answered and passive aggressively said, "sorry, I'm the owner. Leon was my dad." She made no effort to make it right. And she was edgy from the very start too. The whole interaction was so unprofessional, hostile, and I'm shocked by it. Probably the absolute worst business interaction of my entire life. I have never written a negative review before, but this is well-deserved. Do not go to Leon's.

First issue was the noise coming from my tires after the balance. They got me back in, took off the tires, drove around and found no issues, although the noise was gone afterwards. Hmmm. Yesterday they did the brake job, then today when I drove the car, it made a loud clunking noise every time I stopped, so I had to return home. Since it's Friday now, they can't get me in until next week . The biggest issue? My plans to go out of town for a special weekend with old friends is cancelled because of their poor workermanship. I do not recommend. This has been a very bad experience.

When I stopped in at Wayne's he was extremely busy too, but he was friendly and took the time to make sure I had all my questions answered. He even answered a couple of my calls after-hours when I came up with more questions. It was painfully obvious that I know very little about cars, but Wayne was very helpful and answered everything without any hint of condescension. Whereas most mechanics I've been to tend to say, "Well, that part does [insert unintelligible mechanic-language here]." There were several things I wanted to have done where he would say, "I could do that for you, but I don't really do a lot of that here. [Insert Name] down the street could do that for less and probably do a better job." What? I don't think I've ever heard a mechanic say that. Last I checked, most people would go ahead and do the requested task without saying "So-and-so down the street would do that for less." Fantastic service!

I would like to say a few words about James H., who works at Broadway Medical Supply, in the Rehab department. James wears many hats in his position, and I would like to speak about the one position I am familiar with. I am in a wheelchair, and as one who knows, wheelchairs break down, loose power, need tires and all kinds of mechanical things. As far back as I can remember James has been my go to guy. He is knowledgeable, professional, courteous and just and all around great guy. I have had some major issues with my chair recently, and of course they happen at night, when your office is closed. I will leave a message for James and he will be sure he calls me first thing, to arrange a time to evaluate the problem and make sure it gets fixed. To me, James does the work of many people, and never complains. I don't know what I would do if James didn't work for you. He is the back bone of your business. Without him, hundreds of people would be up a creek, saying it plainly. I want you to know, I sure do appreciate all James has done to keep my wheelchair running. I totally depend on James for all my medical supply needs. Never one time in all the years I have known him, has he ever made me wait, or feel like I was a burden. He is quick to assess the problem, and get me up rolling again. I would be proud to have James H work at my establishment, he is one of those people you just can't operate your business without. Since 2010, I have been in a powerchair, which necessitates many adjustments & repairs, which are mostly done by James. What a nice guy, while being professional, caring, proficient, knowledgeable & often very innovative when needed. I trust his judgement & feel very safe when in his care. All of the personnel I've come in contact with are truly caring people, often going out of their way to provide good service. Austin, also has come to my home to service my chair. A fine young man who excelled with proficiency, humbly glad to help, thinking ahead of future needs & happy to be under James tutelage. They will make a great team!! Crystal, in the office, also deserves commendation. She has been very diligent in providing me help with Pace, procuring needed funding approval. I appreciate, also her many phone calls keeping me updated on the progress of my latest repair, proving herself to be a highly valued member in my book. I use a CPAP machine for my sleep apnea. I moved from using Apria because their customer service was awful. My insurance will purchase some of my supplies on different schedules. Some monthly, some every six months. I have not liked using their auto order system so I call when I need supplied. I just spoke with Jessica and had her review all of the purchase dates for my equipment and was kind and patient when I asked her to repeat things. She let me know when the order date is for the store so that I would not have a week's wait before it is ordered. Also, she let me know to call the day before I need to get supplies to see if they may actually have it in stock. I have read some bad reviews, but I have never had a bit of problem either over the phone or in person.I'm happy to do business with them. read more

I have never felt the need to take the time to actually write a review on a business. But after my recent experience there being as phenomenal as it was, and seeing all the negative ones on here that I should at least my post about my experience on here. I was sent to Broadway medical after getting diagnosed with sleep apnea and was told that I needed something called a cpap. Prior to walking in to my appointment I new nothing about any of it. The young lady that did my device demonstration was so kind and went over every single one of my questions and then some. She really made me feel like she knew what she was doing and that she was there to help me. I would highly recommend this place to anyone! read more

Working with health insurance is harder than people realize. Broadway Medical employees do the best they can with how crappy insurances can be. Alli E's review is not accurate since the employee named doesn't even work in the showroom. And Alli was the person illegally stopped in the middle of the road going to Dutch Bros while yelling at other cars who were passing her. It's too bad we don't know where Alli works (if she even does work) because her job deserves bad reviews since she keeps giving reviews that have nothing to do with the business. read more

Do not go here. Horrible. Rude. Don't care about customers needs. Violates HIPPA. Offers no remedy for problems or issues. Violates medicare guidelines. Parking is horrible. getting in and out of parking lot is dangerous. The parking lot should give a clue as to how they don't care, particularly the entrance and exit. But that is the least of their problems. read more

Just want to say best customer service to Crystal at Broadway medical gave me a call as soon as my husband stockings came in nice customer service over the phone answered all my questions and even came out to my car when I got there so I didn't even have to get out I had my granddaughter with me and my daughter. I've always had a positive experience with Crystal Velasco at Broadway medical, she's very helpful in fitting me with wrist braces that I need to sleep at night. Also showed me different options for me to chose from. Always very pleasant and helpful to work with. It's nice to be able have what you need when you leave the store. read more
