Dr Preet was so gentle and sweet to our sick Siamese cat. She was patient and kind to us throughout the whole diagnosis process and we are happy to have her and the team at Broadway for our vet. We have been going here for over 10 years, Dr Harry was our original Dr and always recieved good care from him as well. I took my beautiful dog, Marlie, in for a checkup because she wasn't feeling well. Dr. Singh told me she seemed fine (even she lost 8lbs since her last check up) We insisted on having blood work done because I knew something wasn't right. After paying over $1,000, no one ever contacted us with the results as he was off for the holiday weekend. When Marlie's condition got worse, I took her to an urgent care clinic, where they explained her diagnosis and gave us the information we had been waiting for. Sadly, my baby girl passed 4 days later. I had to repeatedly called broadway when they opened after the 4th of July weekend just to speak with the doctor again, and I never felt like they took the time to communicate with us or follow up on such important test results. He still never gave me my results. During one of the hardest times of my life, I felt dismissed and unsupported. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this clinic. read more

Was a long time customer but this one incident changed everything. I had been taking my dog to this vet for a few years now to get her check ups, vaccines, and dental work done. My dog is a toy fox terrier and she has black nails. Because of this a lot of groomers tend to cut too far out and end up hurting her, or making her bleed. Thus, when my groomer (who knows how to cut nails-- unlike this vet hospital) is fully booked and my dog needs a trim I take her here. Every-time they cut my dogs nails I was there and would hold her for comfort, she would move a little but that's about it. Never once, by her veterinarian nor in her medical records was it recorded nor stated (to me) that she had AGGRESSION issues, especially regarding nail clipping. I took my dog yesterday for a nail trim for 35 dollars, I don't mind since I pay for "quality". I don't want her to get hurt. However this time, they took her to the back without me (I had no issue since I trusted them ) but when she returned, I immediately noticed her nails WERE WAY TOO short! They were uneven throughout her paws. And she showed discomfort. I later took her to one of my other groomers and that's when we noticed THEY HAD CUT THROUGH 4 of her nail vessels and HURT HER. What's worse? At the end of the appointment there was no mention of aggression just that she was a wiggler (we both laughed). I called them to fix this or atleast make it right, instead I got a call from the manager. This manger is extremely disrespectful, emotional and started trauma dumping on me and cursing about a previous experience he had with a different dog. He then proceeded to blame their incompetence and inconsistent work on my dog. First he claimed that this is is bound to happen with dogs with black nails all the time ( not true, you are suppose to go in with clippers to cut majority of the length, THEN once close to the vessels GO IN WITH A NAIL GRINDER OR FILE. They just used the clippers ) . THEN he claimed that my dog didn't like having her nails cut because of an incident she had in 2021, despite having constant nail trims after the incident with no issues. He claimed that she was aggressive, and tried to justify their terrible work? ( if this was even true, why did they continue the service and HURT MY DOG? A good vetenerian would have refused service if it wasn't posible.) throughout this whole call he was yelling, talking over me and being so rude. When I told him that I just wanted my money back and wouldn't return he said the most disrespectful thing. " I would be more than happy to give you your money back, but let me give you some advice you should put your dog on sedatives for future nail clippings" crazy! Recommending this to a dog with no reported aggression is dangerous ! And extremely rude! For the sake of your baby's just don't come here. He proved that they DONT care. This review is 12 years overdue! Dr. Harry was my cats primary & after his passing his daughter Dr. Preet took over. The entire front staff, vet techs & Dr. Preet along with her brother Sukh are such sweet & caring people when it comes to the love of our fur babies. Taking your pet to the vet is expensive no matter what but I've never felt overcharged or taken advantage of. For the past 12 years I've felt welcomed & had a great experience EVERY single time; that's difficult for any business to achieve. I commend their ability to sympathize with us as clients when we have to make difficult decisions, they are incredibly empathetic despise all the hardship they deal with. Went to spay and neuter my 2 kittens, the boys surgery ended up fine but the girl got extremely infected, her skin was dying and peeling off, which is clearly not a normal infection (vet is absolutely at fault as we cared for her very cautiously). The vet then told us that she needed to be isolated and to limit her movement, so we did. We noticed that she looked incredibly ill. She seemed like she was on the edge of life, so we went against what the vet said and gave her full roam of the house, and she healed exponentially. This vet costed us thousands of dollars and nearly killed my baby girl. I would NEVER recommend anyone bring their pet here. read more

Talk about upselling you all the time. The front office is really lovely, but the vet tech and the vet, are not interested in talking to you about your animal. They just do what they do. Overcharged me by $90. I was discussed by the way I was handled and I highly recommend you do not to make this your primary vet. Overpriced, and liars. I needed to have a heartworm refill for my dog, and I asked Costco to refill it for me. Broadway Pet Hospital denied the prescription refill, citing a California law that requires a yearly test. That is a lie!!! No, it is not a law in California for a dog to have a heartworm test every year; however, the American Heartworm Society and veterinarians widely recommend annual testing, even if the dog is on preventative medication. This yearly test ensures that any potential infection is caught promptly, as no prevention is 100% effective, and missed doses can leave a pet vulnerable. But it is not a law!!! I asked if I could get a 2-3 month refill so that he wouldn't be without his monthly heartworm tablet until I could get him into the office, and I was told No, it was against the law. So, rather than give me a 2-3 month prescription, they would rather risk him getting heartworm if he goes without his dosage, rather than giving me a 2-3 month prescription. This is just their way of getting you to spend the money on a visit and testing. Liars! I have requested my dog's records and will find an alternative veterinarian for him to be seen. I wish I saw the reviews here before choosing to go to Broadway because I totally would've chosen another vet. The reception staff are super nice, but what really put me off was my actual experience with the vet. Like another review said, I felt like the appointment was super rushed. I was there for a check up with a new kitty I recently adopted, and the whole appointment lasted maybe 5 mins. I felt no care or compassion when it came to the care of my kitty. In fact, I think we spent double (maybe even triple) the time waiting for the appointment to start than the time my cat actually received care. By the end of the appointment, Dr. Harry was almost out the door and asked us then if we had any questions. It honestly felt as if he asked that for formality rather than being genuine. I honestly can't believe I paid $55 for that kind of care. For my second appointment, my kitten was due for some shots. I was honestly in and out so fast. Again, I spent longer waiting for the appointment rather than my kitten receiving care. They took her to the back while I was paying and came out while I was still finishing up at the front desk (5 mins or less). This time, it made a more sense since all she needed was shots. However, I just wanted to share this experience so others know how things run at Broadway. I will for sure be looking for another vet. If you don't mind paying for super fast care, definitely go for it! The front desk people are kind. I'm sure Dr. Harry is very knowledgable in his field. The worst place ever to take you pet. Our baby had to be put to sleep , there was just no more we could do for her. So we went to Broadway, OMG... there was nothing humane about it. After the first shot , she went into some kind of convulsions, Bain's turned red, it was so painful for her. So we asked what is happening, the DOCTOR says , "I don't know much about small dog" or " experience" , we were so shocked by it and had to demand him to HURRY AND FINISH!! It was horrific.. go half way and tell us this, I still can't believe it.. this was last year during the pandemic, when they had you n your car wait with your pet, and start the process.. the whole thing was just so horrific.. and to this day will never get past it.. so I had to tell my story.. please don't take your babies there.. The care we've received has been fantastic! Everyone from reception, the technicians, and the doctors have all been very kind, helpful, and informative! The waiting room is very clean and spacious as well. It's also cool that you can request appointments online, and that they send you text and email reminders for your appointments. I'll definitely keep taking my pup here for any of his health needs! read more

WORST VET HOSPITAL EVER! THIS PLACE SHOULD CLOSE PERMANENTLY! I gave the Veterinarian 2 opportunities, and they failed miserably! I took my dog here to be neutered here as a baby, as they did his vaccines. A week post op, my once happy, healthy, energetic puppy was a former shell of himself. He was hunched over, back arched. Taking deep deliberate breathes, walking slowly and deliberately, and did not want to be touched! Something was wrong. WAY WRONG! - I put 2 + 2 together, realizing the ONLY traumatic event that happened in his 8 months of living was...you guessed it, the neuter! That weekend I took my dog back. In lobby, my dog was fine. Once we were roomed, my dog was as close to himself as he could be, as much as I had seen in the last week, sniffing around, etc. As soon as the Veterinarian entered the room, my dog lost it! Barking and growling. That's how I knew, something had happened to him last time he was here. Prior to my dog was never like this. The Veterinarian Dr Singh, was incredibly rude, and out right belligerent, indignant behaving as though I were insulting him by sharing my concerns and asking questions. Then after he'd ask me a question, would cut me off immediately in the middle of my answer, attempting to over talk me. Once finished with that disaster of an appointment, I immediately went to Pets Referral Center Vet ER. They confirmed my dog had sustained back injury by x-Ray. The ER vet even commented, "It seems they must've injured his back during sedation and neuter." Fast forward a few weeks later my dog made a recovery. It gets worst. Fast forward a month later. My mom was dog sitting as I was out of town. She calls to tell me my puppy is bleeding but she can 't see where it's coming from. I told her to take him to the vet. She ends up taking him to Broadway AGAIN! I was livid. She said they had taken him in before closing. An hour or 2 later she calls me back frantic, and distraught, crying. Saying they hurt my dog. I had to end my trip early, to see about my puppy. When I got to her house. It looked like something out of horror film! There was blood everywhere!!! My dog was bleeding, his fur was blood stained (he's white) his chin, face, paws, leg fur all blood stained!!! He was hunched over, swaying, staring off into space, pupils dilated, walking into furniture! I looked to see where the blood was coming from. There was a nickel sized mandibular wound on the right side of my dogs face! HIS FACE! THEY LEFT A HOLE IN MY DOGS FACE! They didn't even send him home with a cone! I asked what the hell happened, my sister explained to me the Vet at Broadway told her that my dog scratched himself, under the chin (which is where the blood was initially coming from) which formed an abscess which they needed to drain. But they left A HOLE...IN MY DOGS FACE! I can see the flesh/muscle. By this time Broadway was closed. Had to take my dog to the emergency AGAIN, and they cleaned his fur, and clipped his nails (for free) sedated him and stitched him up. That weekend I returned to Broadway with my ER vet bill, photos AND video of my dog's wound and behavior demanding a refund for the shotty "abscess procedure". Again the Doctor was indignant, tried to over talk me, yelling. Literally, put on a whole production. But At the end of the day he granted a full refund AND returned my mother's check! For the record - Dr. Singh has had several complaints from the Veterinary Medical Board. Wish I had seen them ahead of time. You can search it yourself as board complaints are public record. I heard through the grapevine, Dr. Singh has now entered the pearly gates. I'm sorry for his departure however, you CAN NOT harm defenseless animals. His daughter is now the presiding Vet. Maybe she can turn this place around. We now go to All Creatures. My family and dog are very happy there. read more

If your thinking of going to this hospital.. DONT!!! It is the worst most terrible place I have ever been in my life. my 11/2 old husky Koda had gotten very ill and I brought him to these people. I wish i hadn't but I had no other choice at the time... These people were some of the rudest most insensitive people I've ever met. I ended up having to put my dog down because he was to sick to be healed. I had my daughter with me she was just 15 at the time. This hospital did nothing for my dog except treat him as if he was already dead, they ignored his pain level, they talked rude to both my daughter and I, they left us in the room for long lengths of time and made us feel as though we werent important, they would take in other people as if trying to rush us to be out of theyre way, this place was terrible. They charged me an arm and a leg to put my puppie down, they made my dogs last minutes of his life the most hurtful and painful. They said they gave him an injection for pain but I saw with my own eyes that the injection fluid they pretended to give my dog was visibly still in the needle...they barley touched my dog and tried to say they injected her. In tears I would mention the fact that he is still in so much pain and that I had watched the nurse not give him his shot for pain. The owner there was extremely rude and was heartless toward my daughter and I, he just cut us off and said "look if you don't like how we are handling this you can just take your dog and leave, because I have other patients and your holding up the room for them." I HATE THIS PLACE WITH A PASSION! THEY ARE ONE OF THE WORST MEMORIES MY DAUGHTER AND I HAVE DURING THE LAST MINUTES OF MY PUPPIES LIFE. SHAME ON THEM. Took my dog in for an ear hematoma. Quick exam: needs surgery. They quickly scheduled her surgery. I was able to reduce the estimate by nixing add ons like blood tests, post surgical prescriptions and a couple of other misc fees. I was also able to have my dogs teeth cleaned at a 50% reduction from their usual fees because she was already going to be anesthetized for her ear surgery. Pros: Quick appointments that allow you to see the vet examination. Full disclosure of costs, flexible with nixing expensive add-ons that are necessary, willing to offer discounts on other services in conjunction with surgery. No post surgical appointment fees for stitch removal. Cons: Somewhat gruff mannerisms not sure if this is cultural, stitches looked like a 10 yr old did them. Will not give you a written RX but makes you have the pharmacy contact them directly for the RX. No one else does this in Vallejo per Costco pharm tech. read more

They were super busy and should not overbook because the lack of communication and care is trash. I was yelled at by the vet himself for asking an explanation on the itemized bill. I had already paid so why is he mad. When he came in yelling so did three other people which didn't help. It finally got explained by a receptionist and they all left as quickly as they came in. No one cared to finish explaining the medication instructions or asked if I had any questions and left me alone with my dog after surgery. I got no help once they got their money. I paid 2400 in excess of 800 from the original quote. I was having a bad day and going here was a bigger mistake. Update: we had two follow up appointments and both time they argued. First it was saying I was not giving my dog medicine so it's not recovering well, which was not true. They charged an additional $75 for the post OP appointment. Second visit again argued saying the recovery was not at where it should be and my dog is possibly getting an infection and I should have been giving it antibiotics. I was not given a refill on antibiotic on the previous visit. The additional cost for this visit with antibiotic was $125 from the original quote of $165. The receptionist is giving false information saying the post OP visit was included with the surgery. With this pattern of arguing with the clients I can only guess that they are trying to avoid responsibility for bad service or doing it on purpose to prolong the treatment to make more money. read more

I have been going to this Vet for a few years now. The staff have been friendly to me but most of the time there has been no real interactions with my pet. But I can live with that. What I can live with is that you are told 2 days in a row, someone would be calling you back and never receiving a call. It was a simple question! I had tried to order my dog's prescription food from Chewy.com and it was declined. I called and was told she was do her yearly exam the end of June, and I need to bring her in. I told them I didn't have the $150 for all her shots etc right now and could they just ok the Chewy order so she would have her food. I was told both times they had to speak with the Vet and would call me back. It's not like I wanted to order insulin, it's just special dog food for allergies. I also have been getting your allergy shot there every 4 to 6 months. Anyway, I was very disappointed in the service I received and I can't blame the staff... Needless to say I will be finding a new Vet who is friendly, compassionate and willing to work with you! read more

Well today was an eye opener to say the least, not a good visit to Broadway Pet Hospital. I have been a loyal patron and brought my dogs here for years now. Over a decade. I've always loved the care and ability of the previous doctor who resided over the pets for years. He did really great work and cared for our dogs.I know the doctor had a health issue and had to turn over his practice. But the new doctor -his replacement, the man never smiles. He is very abrasive and rude.This new doctor who has taken over in the past year or maybe almost two years now is not a pleasant person. The first visit with him was totally traumatic for me, and since then I've been back a couple of times . He has insulted me and my family for the last time. Thanks for everything folks bye bye. I took my dog there because he was having some breathing issues that we wanted to check out. The wait was fine, the front office staff was great! But when we went into the exam room, my little terrified dog got a little feisty ( he's a shelter pet and has some anxiety issues). Dr. Harry proceeded to scold me about my pets reaction to 4 additional people in the room trying to observe him. He said" he is aggressive and that is so not good"!! I don't come here to be told I was a bad dog parent, I came to make sure my dog was ok!!! The nurse was sweet and came back in and explained my dogs issues, luckily it was very minor, and went on our way after paying $45 for the visit.
