As a REAL New York City native (unlike 99% of the reviewers), I can tell you hat Broadway is more like an old school NYC slice shop than you would think. From the flavor to the quality to the service...do they make mistakes? Sure. Everyone does. Is their pizza great? Yes it is. So are their dishes. Until recently I had only been a weekender for 40 years. I've been eating here since they opened. It has always been consistent and delicious! The staff are super friendly as are the owners who work on-site every day. The inside is sparse, and no, I don't care what newspaper is on the table (NY Post) or what's on the TV (usually a show like NCIS or Smallville). Ordered the calzone a week ago and called in the takeout order.typically they say it will be 30 min. Decent calzone plenty of cheese inside and I got a side of sauce.. For $9 you can't go wrong .. wouldn't recommend you do eat there as it is very small area to sit ..I've been ordering same item for years and it's always been good! read more

Broadway is our absolute favorite. We moved farther from them and tried the two pizza joints close to our new digs and they are not at all as delicious as a Broadway pie with onions. Broadway has some of the best pizza ever. Wings and Antipasta are also fantastic...if you're upstate, this is the place, period. Also, I wouldn't put much weight in the 2 star review below. So let me start by saying that I am a tough critic when it comes to a slice. I've spent a large part of my life searching for the perfect slice. I will follow that by saying that the Hudson Valley is desperately in need of a good slice. As far as Broadway Pizza goes, in respect to it's environs, it's pretty good. I find the building itself a bit in need of a shower, however, if you are lucky enough to get a slice as it come out of the over the first time, it's a treat. Ok, the pizza was good, and if I hadn't seen some food and health safety issues while I was there I'd stop again when in Tivoli. 4 staff hanging around behind the counter, delivery person on the customer side, and besides myself, only one young woman was wearing a mask. There was a second young woman who was wearing her face mask as a scarf. This mask as scarf person took the opportunity to reach into the shredded cheese bin and pop some into her mouth. Not the worst food violation I've witnessed, but anytime I see something in a place that appears to be so relaxed about health regulations, it gives me pause, and I wonder what I didn't see. Don't think I'll be taking a chance on going back. read more

When we were in desperate need of other sources of food for lunch today, we thought we'd pop in and eat. Although my last review was left when my father came back from picking up pizza's from an "take out" we actually "ate in" today. What a pleasant surprise we got. It's amazing what you don't see when someone reports back their findings. Although the floor tiles are chipped in several spots, there is a big empty space for which people can move around in(he could place at least 1-2 more 2-person booths in this area). There are several soda coolers on premise that contain an adequate amount of soda. This place doesn't appear to get much business. You'd think that for a Saturday at 12:30 (noon) that they'd have a few more people than just us. It seemed like no one else existed. I mean, the pizza was very flaky and tender which got a bit harder once you reached the top (which is just the way a pizza crust is supposed to be), but hearing the guy (apparently the owner) make these pizzas on premises, means this guy puts his heart and sole into doing the best he can do with his business. I'm not a Tivoli resident, but if I'd be around and in need of any pizzas, I'd surely go back. read more

Broadway is like Old Faithful...you know what you're getting and, while it won't blow your mind away, it definitely will leave you feeling satisfied. They typically have a good variety of slices to grab in the shop, from stuffed crust pepperoni to buffalo chicken to veggie lovers. It's not my favorite pizza in the area, but it's solid. What sets it apart is that if I don't feel like leaving home, someone will bring it to me...the only local spot that delivers. read more

Worst customer service EVER! I work next door and every time I order pizza it takes double the time I am told on the phone and I practically have to beg them to stop watching tv and take my money. The pizza is actually really good (and I'm an ex-New Yorker who adores John's Pizza on Bleeker.) But -- there is no way you could eat there. No one is exaggerating when they say that it is non-stop, blaring Fox News. And, everytime I'm there it's either Bill O"Reilly or Sean Hannity. There was a hair in my pizza and the owner pretended it was cheese. The sauce is weak, the crust is just ok (a little soggy). Not at all great or even good NY pizza, passable upstate pizza for when you are too tired/lazy to make something at home. The only thing delicious on the menu are the garlic knots. The Fox news or conservative radio is overwhelming, loud, and often give me indigestion. Pick up or take-out is a much better experience, if i eat there I want to leave ASAP. As a resident of Tivoli I eat from Broadway often. The pizza is excellent and you can't find spicy chicken pizza made like they do anywhere. As far as the reviews about the TV, I have never been ignored by the cashier and never been insulted by what's on. Rob and Brian are great. I very rarely have food delivered because I live so close but when I have its always hot and on time. Only negative thing I could possibly say is on street parking can be difficult depending on day and time. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone. read more
