Let me set the record straight: this might be the best plain slice I've ever had. Ever. Ever! And I say that as someone who has lived in NYC for more than three decades, and who is therefore crazy-picky about slices. Also, the service we received was perfectly lovely, so not sure what everyone here is on about. Can't speak to the delivery situation, but don't care. Hot (and freakin' overdue!) take: pizza delivery is a travesty, and *never* a good way to actually enjoy a slice. That's not the fault of the restaurant; it's just a deal you're making with the devil that means your food will be about a quarter as good as it would be if you actually motivated yourself to get up off your couch like a grownup and eat it in person. Don't change a thing, guys. You're killing it.

I ordered from them again, and I had the mushroom/meatball pizza that my partner had yesterday. It was delicious! For dessert, I had the fried dough, basically deep fried dough balls covered with powdered sugar. No, not diet food, but they are delicious. The price was very reasonable, and they even offer a military/veterans discount. There is a 4% "upcharge", to cover their costs if you are paying with plastic instead of cash. Not a big deal to us. We started off with some classics including their bread and butter (which was tasty and delicious) and ordered their P.E.I Mussels ($19) along with their Fried Brussels Sprouts ($15) to share. The portions were quite large for everything (great if you're in a larger party) but we immediately noticed that the mussels they served seemed a bit off. Many of them were not opened all the way (a sign that they might not be the freshest or recently passed) and had a bit of a fishy taste to them. We ended up not finishing them and flagged them to our waiter. The other items, including the 14oz Ribeye ($43) and baby back ribs ($28) were better, though a bit one-note. The bay back ribs in particular were extremely saucy and the corn bread was dry and a bit tough to eat. I had to use a knife to split it apart as it kept crumbling every time I used a fork. Regardless, it seems like a popular spot for a reason and perhaps we just went during more of an off-night. I'd still recommend checking it out but avoiding the mussels if you go.

While the food is always good.. I have twice whitnessed the skinny counter girl talking about taking pills while at work and trying to buy drugs off of customers. I have whitnessed the same counter girl making innapropriate sexual remarks and "sucking face" with delivery driver in front of children and other customers. Said delivery driver is well known around the area as a drug dealer who will sell drugs in front of restaurant or on deliveries. I would not want drug addicts representing my business, but maybe that's just me. read more

Fox news on tv and some kind of rightwing radio talk show blasting overhead, various Obama=socialist literature scattered on the tables, huge Bill O'reilly flag as decoration. I recently had the displeasure of sitting in this restaurant while the staff engaged in a blatantly homophobic conversation at the expense of a man on TV who had HIV. Pizza aside, it's in the best interest of the staff of broadway pizza to enlighten themselves to the point where they don't marginalize their customers. Great place to grab a pizza or a Sandwich. Local business in Red Hook one of the best. The pizza is made fresh always. We no longer live in the area but when visiting friends and family we make sure we have time for a slice or take a pie home with us. read more
