My partner has ordered delivery from here before, and she has always been very happy. Today I picked up food for us. The lady who helped me was friendly and helpful. It doesn't look like much on the inside. They do not have any inside seating, but there are two tables on the outside if you want to eat There. This is primarily at a to go spot. However, one thing that is cool, they actually have a working "space invaders" machine in a corner of the shop. My partner wanted a meatball slice, but they didn't have it that day, so, the lady offered to put meatballs on a garlic and mushroom slice. It was a big slice, too! My partner liked it very much. She said it was delicious. For dessert, she had a slice of the Godiva chocolate cake, or as we like to jokingly call it, the Godiva, death by chocolate cake. I haven't had it yet, but she says it is so rich and so very delicious! I wasn't very hungry today, so I just had the garlic knot meatball sliders. Excellent! You can definitely smell and taste the garlic, the garlic knots, themselves are tender, and the meatball in the middle is tender and very tasty. They also come with a good amount of cheese. There was a marinara sauce/gravy for dipping, that was also excellent. It was just an appetizer, but it filled me up. I ordered from them again, and I had the mushroom/meatball pizza that my partner had yesterday. It was delicious! For dessert, I had the fried dough, basically deep fried dough balls covered with powdered sugar. No, not diet food, but they are delicious. The price was very reasonable, and they even offer a military/veterans discount. There is a 4% "upcharge", to cover their costs if you are paying with plastic instead of cash. Not a big deal to us. I would not be surprised to learn they buy their pizza dough from the back of a Sysco food service truck or Costco. Or, perhaps, they purchase the most processed, cheapest bread they can find, lay it on the floor, stomp it into shape with their feet and go from there. There is not the remotest of pizza dough flavor to their yeasty, flavorless, commercial processed dough. Imagine smooshed Wonder Bread. Decent marinara. Avoid. Sadly, there is absolutely no decent pizza in the area despite being a mere 100 miles from some of the best pizza on earth in the city. read more

Update to the update - Picked up my pie: peppers, onions, black olives and meatless crumbles. Don't forget the crushed red pepper. I prefer to stick with fresh veggies only on pizza, but will try the vegan sausage next. Probably won't get the crumbles again. Note, they do use daiya, so if you're not a fan, ask for a small amount of daiya or none at all and add your own plant based cheese at home. I did that on one order and added more plant based mozz and kite hill ricotta at home and next day it was so killer- that NY - next day - cold or reheated pizza - the bomb. They fell off. Their first year open they were good and I had high hopes but the last few times I tried this place it fell flat. The final straw was ordering 3 meals and one plain pizza pie and the pizza was so undercooked and doughy I was in amazement. Seriously if you are a pizza place and you place an undercooked regular pie in a box and give it to a customer then you might as well start looking on career builders for new employment because it is only a matter of time before you close up shop. I do intend to try more variety of things, but I wanted to do a review because they have gluten free pizza! The gluten free pizza was a rice and tapioca crust, which was important because our party had nut allergies as well. We were surprised that the crust wasn't super thin and crispy, it had decent flavor and was super filling. I would prefer it if the crust was a little thinner OR they par-baked the crust before topping it, because it got a little gluey where the sauce met the crust. We also got a pizza, nacho tots, Buffalo chicken tenders, and garlic parm fries. The fries came in a quarter inch of oil(?) but they were delicious! We were afraid to eat the very bottom fries, lest we have an Olestra-esque shitting problem (oh man, I'm sure I just dated myself with the Olestra reference!) We tried to give this place another try and the only thing consistent is terrible rude customer service and incorrect orders. I'm not one to write bad reviews but i've had enough and want to spare people the hassle of trying to deal with people who have no empathy or consideration for the customer. We have four young children. We placed an order received a notification that our order was ready for delivery. We waited and waited and our food never arrived. I called to check on the status and were told that it had been delivered however the delivery driver must have delivered to the wrong address. We used to order every week until frequent errors caused us to go elsewhere.The man on the phone whom I believe to be the owner was completely unapologetic and annoyed stating " I guess we will have to make it again". Another hour passes... I called again to check on the status of the order and was told that it had gone out but there were a few stops before us. Before us? When I questioned why we were continuing to wait even longer due to an error by their delivery driver he basically made it sound like we were lucky they remade it at all. At this point, we had already waited literally two hours for our delivery with hungry kiddos and anyone who is a parent knows what that is like. We eventually did receive our order. the cheese was barely melted and it was thrown together haphazardly. I was absolutely disgusted by the lack of empathy or consideration or even an apology. Not once were we ever told sorry for the inconvenience. Any decent business owner would at the very least apologize or offer some kind of compensation if not a full refund for the problems of which they were fully responsible. With so many other pizza places with people who actually appreciate the business - there is no reason to waste your time and money here. read more

Ordered on a Tuesday and didn't realize they had a boneless wing deal--was pleasantly surprised! I got the honey mustard wings and they were absolutely delicious. It seems like they hand-bread their chicken too rather than use the frozen stuff. I also ordered a plain pizza and it was delicious--even good as leftovers a couple days later. Almost a year has passed, so we decided to give Brickyard another try. Ordered a veggie pizza w/ a side of calamari. The pizza arrived on time and was right side up. It was just OK - short on mushrooms and heavy on the shredded green peppers. Again the crust was disappointing, limp and doughy. The fried calamari was tough & chewy, w/ a bland marinara dipping sauce. That evening, we both got indigestion and for the next 36 hours, were grateful that our home has two bathrooms. read more

The food has always been ok here. Like their salads and tots. Living so close has made it a common choice of ours. However, recently we stopped in after a basketball game around 8:20pm. Their posted and advertised hours are until 9pm. I know that is close to closing time, but since their hours stated they were not closing for another 40 minutes we drove there to order something quick that wouldn't be an annoyance to their cooks. Nothing that takes long to cook and wouldn't require a lot of prep time. Salads with chicken. We were told the fryer was off and they couldn't make it. Then we were offered grilled chicken instead that they could heat in the microwave. My wife declined the very enticing offer for microwaved chicken. We got a slice they had in the window for our child, and left. During this interaction, there were 2 cooks standing at the counter. They were speaking Spanish thinking we didn't understand them. They were saying that we were crazy asking for fried items and laughing. This is not a great way to patronize the people that will be spending money in your establishment. Unbeknownst to them, we are both culinary graduates. My wife being a director of operations for a very large food service establishment, and myself having a Bachelors degree in Food Service Management with a long history of being an executive chef in many establishments across New England. We are very understanding people when it comes to local eateries and know what the industry is like. But from every restaurant we have ever worked in or managed, we never shut down the kitchen until the moment the clock hit closing time. We wanted to, but knew that is not how it is done. Aside from that, if anything was going to be shut down early, it was never the fryer. The quickest cook time and most options to offer for late comers. Overall, the way their staff acted right in front of our faces was not acceptable. I'm not upset about the fact we were not able to get something to eat. Simply the lack of appreciation for your customers. But when people with no experience open ANOTHER pizza place in Saugerties, what should I expect. read more

I never thought a salad could get screwed up, but I was wrong. My husband and I both ordered a dinner salad with grilled chicken and balsamic vinaigrette dressing for lunch. The chicken was like rubber and flavorless. Couldn't chew it, the only thing to do was spit it out. The dressing was just oil, no vinaigrette. Three bites in and we both gave up.
