The overall experience was fun. I would say the only vice is that it gets pretty warm in there and they said they had the AC on high. You can reserve by hourly slots I believe. We were celebrating a friends belated birthday and apparently, she loves silent discos. In a silent disco you are given neon headphones (ours lit up green, blue and red). There were three corresponding DJ's that spun tunes for their respective colors. As a disco dancer, you had the ability to change your colors and therefore, music by clicking a switch on your headphones. It is always good to expand yourself by trying new things. Let me be the first one to say this was really weird, at first. But I eventually got the hang of it. When I walked into Highball, I saw a dance floor full of individuals swinging their arms, and gyrating their bodies seemingly to no music. It was like something from a sci-fi movie. It felt like I was having an out of body experience...no loud music vibrating the walls and floors, no synchronized dancing and certainly not line dancing. The dance floor was laced with bunches of people moving to the rhythm of music only they could hear. The glow of neon headphones lit up the room like glow in the dark rings except they were not rings but headphones. What a site to see! Silent discos gives you opportunity to hear a variety of music at your pace and sequencing. You can easily toggle between dance hall, hip hop or another genre of music at the flick of a switch. It is an opportunity to connect with people. Since the music is not blaring, you can easily have a conversation with a friend or strike up a conversation with someone new. Also, I noticed this interesting phenomena...the green headphone people tended to dance together and the other colors similarly danced together. It is quite the sight to see at first glance. While was it was funny to watch people dancing to different songs, it was definitely a thing!. The headphones allowed you to form a bond with your people (red, blue and green)! A silent disco is disrupting nightlife. It balances high-energy dancing with conversation you can actually hear. Also, a silent disco turns music into a shared yet individualized experience. The venue is near the airport, which is a nice change of pace from fighting downtown traffic. Parking is available on-site, but note there's a fee; budget for that or factor in rideshare costs instead. The modular warehouse features varying floor plans and layouts with a large main room floor, upstairs mezzanine, two outdoor patios, and an adjacent field. The set was held inside, on the large main room floor. Two opening DJs got the crowd warmed up before Amelie Lens came on closer to midnight. The pacing felt right. I always wear hearing protection to music events. Keeping this in mind, the sound system was clean and powerful. Parallel screens running the length of the room, front to back, added a whole visual layer to the night. They clearly invested in getting the audio and visuals right. A detail worth mentioning for anyone planning to go is that there are free water dispensers set up in the back, which is a small thing that makes a big difference throughout the night. Staff were friendly and attentive all night. Service was smooth, and I never felt like the venue was understaffed or overwhelmed despite the crowd. Overall, this is a well-run venue with solid production value, thoughtful amenities, and a lineup that delivered. This is a room that respects the music. The sound and the flow of the night were perfect. Would happily come back for another set.

This place has also been rated the third best club in Austin several years in a row. They always manage everything so well despite the number of crowds they get. I've never waited longer than five minutes to get a drink at the bar. The Security staff is always so attentive and on top of everything. The staff checking everybody in is always happy polite and very pleasant to be around. I just can't wait for them to increase the height of their screen because as an avg girl who is 5.7" I never get to see any visuals or anything that happens on the stage or the screen. I recently went to silo and Dallas and did not have that problem at all because the screen was significantly higher. Concourse however really is home to the entire rave community not just in Austin, but in all of texas. This place will forever hold a special place in all of our hearts. They have an insanely delicious food truck that operates in the space outside that always delivers the best quality food. The only thing I would say about that specific food truck is that they seems scam me by taking advantage of intoxicated people through their tip system. The last time I went to pay, my suggested tip was defaulted at 25%, the next option was 30%, and the one after that was 35%. With how poor the rave community is, it is highly unfortunate to see that specific establishment, taking advantage of people who are under the influence and cannot make coherent decisions. This is of course, not a concourse problem, but a problem of that specific food truck operating in the backyard of Concourse.

If you're coming here definitely do yourself the favor and Uber as parking is incredibly difficult to find there. Getting in is very quick and efficient and once you're in you're greeted by live music and a fun open space to get drinks and hang out with friends. There are multiple different places to get drinks from which is nice as you can choose how long you would like to wait in a line. Drinks are not unreasonably priced and they were good as well. The ability to sit throughout the area, get up and dance, or just listen to music makes this a great spot to stay entertained for a while. We came when there was an event being put on by Zyn where they were giving out free drinks to nicotine users which was funny because why not get you hooked on nicotine AND alcohol. But seriously, there are typically food trucks and more things going on here but the Zyn trucks took up those spots which was a bit of a letdown but we're assuming that's just a one off event. Between a good band, decent drinks, and a good amount of seating options, this is a good spot to sit down with some friends and just vibe out for the night. Karaoke here is very popular so you have to queue up to get a chance, but once you do you can often hear people clapping along and singing with you. The servers are very friendly and the drinks are pretty good. We usually order the Dammit Janet and it's always been a nice sweet drink for us to enjoy. Besides karaoke there's also plenty of TVs to show any games as well as pool tables in the back. Pool does cost about a $1.50 per game and they have a cash to quarters machine to help that process. It's very easy to go in there for a quick drink or two then look at the clock and realize you've been there for 5 hours. We would definitely recommend this place to any locals in the area looking for a fun, very laid back place to hang with friends.
