Idk why all these reviews are here saying anything positive about Angel Archer, but she's rude and bitter to everyone she encounters! There are bugs, and termites! This place is very old and nothings been updated. My family also lived in these apartments in the year of 2000, and even they say that it looks exactly the same. There's potholes in the parking(easiest to fix!!) she says it's family friendly but she tells kids not to play outside, she also doesn't know how to control her tenants there's kids screaming and yelling and banging on doors and walls disturbing people next door past midnight! She says no smoking but when u walk past certain units all you smell is marijuana and cigarettes!! Only thing nice I will say is the landscape! She keeps that tidy and clean! Everything else is trash! Her attitude trash! The units trash! The parking lot and spaces ? TRASH! Everything is trash! Her bitterness gets the best of her and takes it out on people ! Rent is so high for something that hasn't been updated in 25 years ! She entered units without consent and got caught and tried to say she was there for maintenance (she doesn't do maintenance lol ur a manager ma'am?!!) the tenant was so uncomfortable and upset that he ended up leaving and finding a new place to rent out!, I have never seen the pool get cleaned! As nasty as the pool is it's damn near the same as her attitude. I've never seen unprofessionalism and disrespectful behavior until I met her! She goes grocery shopping and does a lot of her personal business during her work hours, which makes a lot of things complicated when people are trying to reach out to her. It's a family resident yet I see and smell people smoking marijuana, I see gang-members walking in and out the complex, and I see homeless people going in the complex digging in the trash! read more

The apartment complex and the environment seems really nice. It's clean and quiet. Unfortunately, the management is bad. The manager Angel is very rude and irresponsive in person and on the phone. I have spent a week contacting her hoping she answers.m but I ended up with nothing but a waste of time and money. When I called on the phone, another lady answered the phone saying "oh she is on vacation, call us on Monday". I called on Monday, the same lady answered (she is on vacation, call on Friday). I spent gas, a few money so I get a response "your credit is bad" when she hasn't even seen my documents. Having good communication skills is really important for a manager. read more

Let me start by saying management make a difference :) . Angel made my move in process easy and comfortable she was very straightforward with everything and this made me a happy resident . The apartments are quite and safe ,kids are allowed to play in areas of the court yard but are all respectful . When I notified Angel of a maintenance request she had it taken care of right away. Even though the apartments are off of a busy Street there's never much noise and for me safety is a big thing , so the apartment being gated is a plus. I have been a resident at the Broadway Square Apartments for a little over 3 years now. My time here has been both pleasant and peaceful. The premises are clean and gated and neighbors are pleasant and look out for one another. The Onsite Manager, Angel, is both friendly and always available to respond to the tenants. I have had nothing but positive interactions with her, as well as with all of the other residents in the complex. Recently, due to the hardships created by COVID-19, everyone in the complex has been provided with discounts on several months of rental payments. Going back to April, the rent on my 1-bedroom apartment has been discounted $472! In trying times, these savings have certainly come in handy with paying off other monthly obligations, where no relief or consideration has been provided by SDG&E, or the phone or cable companies. I am grateful and appreciative of the discounted rents over the past few months. Additionally, Angel ensures that the property is kept in good order and the tenants needs are met. I feel fortunate to live in a place where I am a valued and appreciated member of the community. read more

Called the manager on Monday responding to an ad for a 1 bed at $1300/1325. Made a 2pm appt for Tuesday when I get there she says the apt is $1350. Did not appreciate her saying she had one for me at $1300 then changed her price on me when i arrived. I called and left a msg confirming my 2pm appt Tuesday morning and left my phone number. She made absolutely no attempt to call me back to accept my confirmation nor did she call to advise me of the rent change. A total waste of my time! Since the new property manager, Dottie Davis, took over the quality of living has plummeted. Most complaints are ignored and those that are addressed are done so in a "news letter" fashion by which Ms. Davis simply leaves countless letters stuck in your door stating people are complaining of this or that and the issues need to stop. It took 3 days for my refrigerator to get fixed, during which time i was only updated when I made the phone calls to her asking what was taking so long. "first thing in the morning" turned in to "this evening" then "some time tomorrow." My food spoiled and i ended up fixing the problem myself. The issue was a loose wire in the circuit breaker (which is a HUGE problem to anyone concerned about electrical house fires). When i explained to her i was tired of waiting, that i had resolved the issue, and what the issue was she replied by laughing and stating that she should put me to work around the apartments since i seem to be so handy... nevermind the small detail of a loose electrical connection in a property she is responsible for. She outright identified one resident/complaintant in a letter as the reason for some changes. The hot water is shared by all residents which means if someone flushes a toilet a few apartments away, you are met with 140 degree (i measured the temperature) water while rinsing your hair. Except for the case this morning where my wife was left with NO WATER to rinse and has to take a shower at work instead as the water simply shut off. The other night, when my wife came home from night school, she was approached by someone asking questions like "where do you live, who do you live with..." which made this gated community feel less safe than it already feels. The wall mounted air conditioners are inadequate for the unusually hot apartments, the years of paint over paint are obviously holding some furniture in place, and PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE take a close look at the sealings in the bathroom and kitchen: the water damage is masked with what appears to be newly renovated work, but after a few months here the wall in the bathroom started to crumble and the sealing along the bathtub peeled up exposing mold and decay. To its credit, Broadway Square Apartments does have a decent looking courtyard that has been well kept. My recommendation is to find a home elsewhere. For the price you can find better living conditions with better management. read more

I have a client that lives here. I am a social worker and the manager Angel (though a no nonsense manager) has always been welcoming to my clients disability. She manages a large complex and does it well. The grounds are clean, she's attentive to maintaining the apartments and positive relationships with her tenants. I see a lot of bad reviews on here about her, but really it's just cause they don't like the fact that she's not there to keep one person happy, but a whole complex. I don't personally know her, but I did bump into her at a carwash one day and I'd gladly buy her carwash again. She works hard and even answered my call on her vacation. She didn't have to. So if you want a place that's in shambles with loud neighbors and nobody that cares stay away from here. Cause she cares and it's peaceful here. She even gave $50 gift cards to every tenant for months during covid for local restaurants. . Keep it up Angel! read more

This complex isn't so bad. It's the manager angel. She is absolutely horrible. She's rude and screams and yells at you on the phone. She lacks professionalism needed to talk to humans. She degrades you and tries to convince herself that she's right while also trying to convince you. No matter what evidence you have or common sense she will pull out all the stops to be right. Even if it means changing rules. This complex would benefit from getting her out of there. Happy tenants start with a smiling face and a kind tone. read more

Had many bad experiances living here. Also many tenents moved out because of the manager Allie. Shes always in your buisness, and monitors everything you do. Everytime I saw her around the apartments she asked what apartment I lived in, I guess she has a memory problem. I think she should be fired, I don't know why she still is the manager. The manager on this property is rude, unfriendly, sarcastic, self-centered & not able to perform the essential job duties required for this job. I called the office & requested to see a one-bedroom apartment. She answered the phone & said to meet her at the gate. I stood at the gate for no less than 10 minutes. She never showed up. The mailman came & we realized that the gate was actually unlatched & we pushed it open. I opened the office door to find her sitting in front of the computer, doing nothing job-related. She jumped up as if I frightened her (obviously she forgot she had a potential renter to take care of) & screamed at me for not knocking on the office door, even though I was there during regular (and posted) business hours. She led me to an apartment but asked me to wait outside while she entered apartment 27 to 'tickle her husband'. That was something that I most definitely did NOT want to see. In addition, I felt as though she had wasted more than enough of my time with her personal affairs. The apartment she finally showed me was a TWO bedroom & not the ONE bedroom that I requested. While showing me the apartment, she caught sight of the mailman & screamed at him at the top of her lungs (no doubt disturbing the families who had the misfortune of being at home) demanding to know if I was telling the truth about the gate being left open. As if she had ANY right to doubt that is exactly what happened. Did she think the mailman & I jumped the gate just to catch her goofing off in the rental office? Disgusted, I (along with the mailman) just left this foulmouthed, rude, argumentative woman right were she was standing. I require a property manager that is capable, friendly, hardworking, pleasant & knowledgeable. If she can't remember to meet a potential renter at the gate, can't tell the difference between a one-bedroom & a two-bedroom & can't keep her hands off of her husband while she is supposed to be working, than she has no business having this job at all. The owner of this property is going to hear about this & I hope something gets done about her immediately! read more
