Fresh rolls with peanut sauce (instead of the normal fresh roll sauce)

Beef kushiyaki. Keeps me coming back. So juicy and so good! This time I got the kimchi fried rice too. The mozzarella cheese was an interesting twist. I'm used to a fried egg on top but who ever hated cheese said no one. Great place for takeout especially on these cold winter days. Add some Netflix and bam you got the perfect night.

Drunken noodles. (I had eaten some before I took the picture)

Got the drunken noodles here today for lunch. I walked in and ordered, they said it would be about 10 mins so I ran to the store across the street. I came back and my food was ready. The noodles were so flavorful and the veggies were fresh. I got medium spice and it was the perfect amount of spice. Enough where it left heat in your mouth but wasn't on fire. Definitely will be back!

3.8 out of 5 Solid spot downtown Plymouth. Good, quick and fair price! Definitely adds nice diversity to options in downtown. Would go again for sure!

    Thai Tea

Visiting for a business trip, and I always tend to try out pho from wherever I am. Although they don't offer my usual Pho Dac Biet, I opted for the simple beef pho. I also ordered the fresh rolls (spring rolls), Thai tea and got 2 orders of the chili oil; also got an order of the spring roll (eggrolls) free from the Uber eats app. First thing; the Thai tea, it was good. Definitely could've been a little more tea concentrate and milky, but no real complaints there. For the pho I ordered it with beef and an extra order of their fat noodles. The broth itself was mediocre. Had a real strong star anise/cinnamon flavor to it (definitely not your traditional beef bone broth) but it was still really good. The broth came in your regular 32oz plastic containers, it was only half way filled but it was just enough for the portion of pho they gave you. The pho noodles were nice and bouncy, not overly blanched. The fat noodles were even better (I love fat noodles in my pho). It would be nice if they would give you the option to substitute noodle types. I am a spice lover; hence why I ordered 2 servings of chili oil. The chili oil itself did have a kick to it, also hd a nice flavor. The fresh spring rolls were really good! Probably my favorite thing out of everything I ordered. I'm used to more of a peanut dipping sauce but this hoisin base sauce was relatively appealing to my taste buds too. As for the free "spring rolls" (egg rolls) it came with a plum dipping sauce which was very good. For it to take 30 minutes for delivery the egg roll itself was still hot and super crispy by the time I got it! I was scared it was just going to be the pre made, frozen generic egg rolls, but it wasn't. Plus, if it's free, it's definitely for me!

    Pad Pak

New restaurant primarily take out, but we dined in. Had the pork belly bai bun which was just OK. Main course was Pad Pak which was a vegetable stir fry in a red curry sauce. Added beef which wasn't necessary. The curry sauce was the highlight of the meal. Will definitely be back.

It was just me, my kids, and a handful of people eating their packed lunches. I think one other person ordered food the entire lunchtime we were there. We had to walk past a security desk and down a hallways past conference rooms to get to the cafeteria counter where Qilin is located. It felt kind of like we were intruding - almost like we had walked into someone else's living room. But we got crab rangoon and lotus chicken appetizers - both were FIRE! I wished for another order. We got the Braised Beef Noodle Soup, three orders of different dumplings, and some Boba tea. I would place the food on par with some of my other southeast Michigan favorites - Yee Siang, Kungfu Bros - the dumplings were phenomenal. I will be back - I wish the place was in its own storefront that was a bit less awkward / inconvenient to visit, but good food is good food, and the service was quite pleasant, so I'm hoping for success for them.

The Beef Bulgogi bowl looked tasty, so I went inside, took a seat and gave the waitress my order. My order was served up QUICK and HOT. But, I was disappointed when I saw the rather SMALL size of the bowl placed in front of me. I asked the waitress if this was the lunch size. She said no, it is the same for both lunch and dinner. So I dug in to the beef first. It lacked seasoning, flavor and texture. BLAND! Then I looked the spring roll and the dumpling. These were not handmade and seemed to be similar to what I have purchased at COSTCO. Just CABBAGE inside both of them. Ambiance is kind of Americana kitsch, a real mishmash for a cafe trying to serve Asian fusion cuisine. Then the bill arrived and I was taken aback at $13.50 for such a small bowl. My dining experience definitely DID NOT equal the glowing reviews from my fellow Yelpsters. IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER!

Their sign is easy to see as you drive by, but my friend did give me a heads up that their door was not obvious. You need to walk through a fence and then open a non deacript door. The artwork outside is awesome! When we walked in we received a friendly greeting and were quickly shown to our seats. We had made a reservation ahead of time and there was no delay to seat us upon our arrival. Our server was friendly and took our drink orders right away. I appreciated that they had multiple non alcoholic drinks and at a fair price. I started with the Thai Iced tea which was delicious, but I would have loved a glass 2x the size! We ordered multiple dishes to share amongst us. I did ask the server how many dishes they recommended that we order as I wasn't sure of the size. The items are brought out as they are made, so we had food being dropped off to is at random intervals. The only slight issue we experienced was when someone else tried to bring a plate of squid to our table. We let them know that we had not ordered it. They then went and talked to our server, who brought the squid back to our table. We also let them know that we had not ordered that dish. Our server did bring back our order slip and looked it over, and I believe at that point they realized that we really had not ordered that dish and just weren't rejecting it. I am not sure if it had been written wrong, communicated to the kitchen wrong, or what but we did have to state multiple times that we had not ordered it. The rest of our dishes arrived correctly. The crispy chive cakes were great, and the sticky spare ribs were AMAZING. The caramel glaze on the outside of the ribs was so good, and they were tender as well. The outside was super crispy. I would absolutely ordered these again. I would say that both of those dishes were only for 2 people. The sticky rice and jasmine rice were as to be expected, and I personally felt that the papaya salad was not as good as others I have had. The chilli noodles had an amazing broth and I would also recommend. Overall, I did enjoy our dinner but I am not sure that I would go out of my way to return. I am rounding up to 4 stars based on the sticly ribs alone, otherwise a 3.5 would be more fair. I have been hearing about Takoi for years, so maybe my epxections were too high but I was expecting a bit more.

So I thought this was a sushi place because I saw a picture online of a sushi plate and I am here…read moreto tell you it is NOT a sushi place, when you first walk in they have a photo op that is really beautiful. We had reservations and when we walked in it was quite empty but it is a very inviting environment, the music was soft and smooth and the people were nice. The menu is small but it does have some interesting menu items. It was very quiet inside, kind of awkwardly quiet and we sat next to people but the tables are quite close together, we could literally hear everything they were saying and they could hear us and we were talking in whispers. For a cocktail, I ordered the Enamorah Old Fashioned, if you are a bourbon lover then you will love this, it is a Woodford Reserve with the cherry cask taste, it was amazing! Definitely worth it. Then I ordered the Short Rib Bao Buns and Teriyaki Bourbon Chicken (got to keep the bourbon flowing). Now before I mention the food I have to say first that it isn't too often, maybe literally once every couple years that food shocks me because I have eaten every food type you can think of so there isn't too much that can intrigue me to want to try it, ok so now let's carry on with the review. So the Short Rib Bao Buns were nothing short of perfection. The pineapples gave it a phenomenal tropical taste and the bun itself was soft, chewy and buttery, the rib meat was tender, flavorful and easy to chew. I can't describe the taste you just have to try it yourself. Now let's get to this Teriyaki Bourbon Chicken. Mannnnnn, let me tell ya, there isn't foods that give me goosebumps much but this did it. It came with Collard Greens, the chicken and Mashed Potatoes and then had a an extra dribble of teriyaki sauce to mix with it. The Chicken & the Collard Greens went well together, the mashed potatoes & the Chicken went well together, the mashed potatoes & the collard greens went well together, I mean everything was top tier as you could want it. Now they do have gratuity already added but it is definitely worth the meal. This is a place you have to come and try and then wonder what you're gonna have next time when you come because it is THAT good. If I could give this 7 stars I would.
